- NOTE: I tested this tool on a TALAS I (first generation) fork. I've since been informed that the tool may be too short to use in the TALAS II (second generation) fork. If I can find a longer inflation needle I believe it would work fine. If you know of a source for an inflation needle that is longer than 33mm (the actual needle portion) please let me know. Thanks!

Ah ah ah!!!! just fantastic!! My Talas failed yesterday, I made the tool almost as you described it, just not glued it, but sold it; it is TALAS 2 for me, so I had to fiond the lenght, then I heated it twice to adjust the lenght of pin, and finally it worked perfectly!
My fork works like never before;
Many thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and greetings from France (sorry for my poor english)
Brilliant! Thank you so much!! Really useful and important guide!
Just perfect explanation, clear and simply to understand.
Thank you, and I'm very glad it worked for you. Soldering sounds like a much better solution. If I ever build another, I'll try that method. If you don't mind, can you post some measurements for your IFP tool (that fits the TALAS II)? I'm sure there are a few people who could benefit from that information. I just don't have a TALAS II to use for testing. :)
Brilliant !! Beautifully done 👍👍👍👍
You're welcome. Hope it helps.
very clear explanation thank you very much
Thank you for the compliment! Let me know if you have any questions.
I'd be glad to help. RUclips comments don't lend itself to that, though. ;-) Please, head over to "huckingkitty (dot) com (slash) forums" and look in the Shocks and Suspension forum for the "TALAS I Rebuild Questions", "Fox TALAS I disassembly / reassembly" or "The Unofficial Fox TALAS I (first generation) Service Guide" threads. If none of those help, don't hesitate to create a new thread and I or someone else will help out all we can. Thanks!
very good idea and video. I have problem with IFP valve which is in the topcap, have you ever disassembled it? i don't know how to get the air valve can(called in Fox documentation) from the topcap... so any advice would be helpful :-)
Thank you!
Hi , I wonder if I can, because I used metric screw to make the tool, and I don' t know if I could screw it completly or not, original screw seems a litle different, well, the lenght of pin is 8mm on mine; many thanks again :)
You're welcome. If you have any questions, I encourage you go post them up at the link I placed in the "video description". RUclips won't let me post the link in the comments for some odd reason... :-D
Hi. Found the thread for the guide, but the link to the unofficial guide isn’t working. Can you provide a working link, please. Thanks!!
@@dancing8595 The guide was screenshots taken from the video and can be found here: www.huckingkitty.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=588
Marpilli Bon Hi. I’m talking about the guide to service the TALAS, not make the IFP tool. The links to the visitor and pdf you made are no longer working. www.huckingkitty.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=607
I also tried to join huckingkitty.com, but never received the confirmation email. I requested several and never got them. :-(

Great video. Do you have any more of the IFP tools available? Thanks!
Unfortunately, I haven't had any available for years now.
Marpilli Bon ok. Thanks. If you find you have any old ones laying around, please let me know. Thanks.
Bit late to the party, my Talas I system failed today, first use of the bike in years. What is the screw for you drilled only half way ???
