In the beggining of the video you can see a train which I filmed in my vacation in Ruegen. After that you can hear the song Casey Jones by Johnny Cash.
We used to sing this song when I was in the 6th grade (1965). A music teacher would come to the classroom & teach the kids songs while she'd accompany us on the piano. I learned a lot of folk songs that way, & had fun singing. Too bad schools don't do this anymore. Johnny Cash's voice is perfect for this song.
When I was a teenager in 1960s in Moscow, I heard a yard song to the same melody (in Russian) "Casey Jones doesn't get of the machine, Casey Jones keeps his usual way..." ... And I like J.Cash, he is natural...
There are many traditional songs performed great by Johnny Cash. Greetings. ruclips.net/video/Z5pAGvph8aw/видео.html *RED RIVER VALLEY* Guitar Solo Version in the style of *Johnny Cash*
For some reason i've been working on the railroad and casey jones are both songs that Jonny Cash has sang and they are the best song to when driving a train 🚂
I loved this song when I was a kid. My best friend and I were determined to be engineers when we grew up. We made it. He's an engineer for the fire company (tillerman) and I became a radio television engineer. ;)
@@benediktmorak4409 bro. that's a pentagram not a red star. all nations are ruled by satan. take after Jesus and put not your faith into men and nations, but into God. all communists are demonic but so is every other county to ever existed
My Dad's father and my Mom's father both worked on the Pennsylvania Railroad back in the day. My father told me how he watched the steam locomotives come rumbling into Harrisburg city and how their drive wheels were larger than a man.
I had a few family members 2 were fireman on 4884's and uncle buzz was a carman. He had the missing finger to prove it. He worked the Louisville switch yard in the 30's and he dealt with cars going in and out of Waverly hills. He lost an index finger in a switching accident and had a rubber prosthetic. His favorite joke was pull my finger. You'd pull it and "POP" it'd come off in your hand, I miss his sense of humor.
I live in Sacramento and yesterday I was driving around town and I ended up right in front of the train station and I was listening to Orange Blossom Special. It was epic. This song is just as amazing.

unionrdr I was down there and went by the Casey Jones museum but had no place to park my semi and i can barely walk to see the museum and go to the crash site buut every year i always reread most of the important stuff about Casey Jones online during the week of his death. RIP Casey Jones. Someone should check out every little detail they can find and write the book.
I am sure that Casey broke the union strike as the union wanted safety and they said that this pushing train times was dangerous, but Casey just ignored this and he died, This part of the tale is always left out and buried, I wonder why?
When my husband and I were in Tennessee on vacation his son lives showed us where Johnny and June's house was on Old Hickory Lake after if burned completely to the foundation ,so sad ,we have loved all kinds of music and theirs was on top 10 for sure i

A true American folk story perfectly portrayed by folk song. Johnny's is the best version in my eyes
American folk song - German locomotive 😂😂😂

Johnny is all over this song. What a great percussive version. This version and the one by Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie are my two favorites.
Frickin bass and baritone chorus at the end? Jeez... Love this stuff!
Das immer noch eine Baureihe 99 aber trotzdem noch gut RIP Casey jo
I like this, I like how we get something somewhat scary at the beginning out of the way and then we’re rewarded with a nice song.
Our special times looking out the back garden jimmy ❤😢

Man some people just don't know what classic country music is
Blood, Sweat and Tears - I had the album on vinyl years ago - now have it on CD. Love the "rawness" of Cash's "hard life" songs.
Sam Senter agreed
Agreed. This is real stuff, not blown out of all proportions like modern noise (music).
I pray people would all love each other and help one another
Aman
And you know that notion just crossed my mind

My Jimmy ❤️
He might be no more with us in person. his music though will be forever!

I've been writing the true tall-tale of Jon Henry. He was a freed slave & a real, breathin' man. Maybe Casey Jones should be written down as well?
