Sorry. I was in a three year old Toyota Camry in Guangdong, China. The driver was female. She was using an iPhone 6 with a severely cracked screen as navigation. She was turning around to talk to the backseat people while driving in heavy traffic. When I got out, the Camry have ZERO scratches or scuffs on the car. I asked her how she do it. And she said her hands are guided by Chairman Mao.

Where I live in Florida started to have a noticable influx of female Chinese drivers(I know they're Chinese because of their language and accent). Then the county noticed that most of the accidents were being caused by female drivers, but upon closer look it was drivers from China and states like New York where few ppl drive because of how expensive it is. Amongst the locals in my area if we notice a Asian female.driver we try to get as far as possible away from them in any direction. I rather be late then injured because of someone who has little to no experience driving in their local area let alone on the roads and interstates of my state.
I am from Central Florida and we don't have those Chinese drivers, but we have plenty of female drivers from South America as well as retirees, soccer moms, young drivers from UCF and the suburbs, all terrible drivers.
I've lived in NY, NC, TX, and SC. I've also drove to all of them, so I've been across most of the east coast. I can absolutely guarantee you, NY has the best drivers. Hands down. Not just female or male: all drivers are better. The driving test is harder, insurance is higher, cars are more expensive, and you can only get your license if you're 18. So there's more at stake. I know plenty of people in their 20s who don't have licenses. Hell, most of NYC don't have licenses. Not because they don't want them, but because the test in the city is so ridiculously hard that a good driver would have a hard time. Not in the south. In NC, it was 14 with parents permission and 16 without...and the test could be done by a child. Which, a 14 year old is. By far the worst drivers out of all the places I've lived/drove through. So those are the polar opposites. NC has the highest teen mortaility rate for motor deaths. Who would have guessed?
In the 70s I knew a Hong Kong college student studying in the US. One day she told me that she was on the Golden Gate Bridge and decided that she didn't want to be there so she put the car in reverse and started driving backwards. She said that the officer told her: " You just can't do that !"
No one really understands why they didn't have any rights before. And now that they do, all they've done so far is to squander them. I say, maybe our ancestors were right.
German here. This looks so ridiculous. In driving school only the first hour was in a parking lot. Everything after that was done in real traffic. We had also to absolve two hours driving in the night. When you were almost done we had to do the "Autobahnfahrt". A trip which was both a test of skill and durability, as we were 2 students taking turns. The whole trip took over 6 hours and we also had to go fast (at least 160kp/h, but we were thrilled and went over 200 sometimes). We left and re-entered Autobahn around 15 times and had constantly to change lanes ... it was crazy, but afterwards we felt familiar with the car. On Autobahn we witnessed a heavy accident. I will never forget that drive ...
We in Australia are permanently hassled by these people, even their males. There must definitely be some corruption in the officials that hand out these licences. Some of them don't know English, how do they read road-signs???
Corruption is in their culture, seriously, when you hear CCP punish corruptors, that means the "corruptors" are anti-CCP, not necessarily doing actual corruption.
ive seen this happen first hand with a Japanese female student who came to australia, SHE purchased her license in Japan, came to australia on a study visa, never driven a car, then got given a full car licence somehow by the Australian goverment, she had no idea how to even drive and she had to do driving lessons from an instructor. This instructor was one of my housemates who said he refused to let her drive and lodged a request with the goverment but they ignored him.
one thing you forgot to mention about japan...before you even get a license...you have to go through driving school, and if you pass the driving school, that is the time you can even go for the actual driving licensure exams to get your license...it is very strict there...
I thought driving school was a common practice, at least here in finland we have lectures and practice and after set ammount of hours an exam, though the licence is in two parts, first you get a temporary trainers licence, during which time you have to perform a slipery track practice, summer wet, winter ice. then you can get the proper license. And the slipery section is why foreing drivers outside north are scary as hell, yeah you may have a license and 100k+ kilometers behind you, but that is fair weather enviroment, welcome to ice roads.
@@Jaegerrants not all countries have the kind of requirements of japan or even finland...that is why there are a lot of people that takes awhile before they even get a license...

In my country the training to get a driver's licence costs now around 3,000 to 5,000 Euros, depending on how talented the candidate is. This includes mandatory 30 hours of classroom training plus a a classroom exam, and, depending on your talent, at least 15 hours driving on public streets with an instructor, more often like 20 or 25 hours. You can take the practical exam, which is also on public streets, only when the instructor is positive that you have a good chance to succeed in the examination. There are people who do 50 or even 100 hours on the street (and thus pay five-digits Euros for the training) before they do the practical exam and finally fail, and others who are simply never allowed to take the exam, regardless how many practice hours they had.
I think a lot of the terrible driving seen in China has to do with driving not being a generational skill. Until 20 or so years ago almost nobody had a car compared to places where you grew up driving with your parents who grew up driving with their parents and so on for 100 years.
The one whose car kept rolling RESPECT. she was flustered cus she cared. She tried going to the oerson hurt then car then thats normal when you trying prioritising helping someone injured and safety
To be honest, this isnt special to female drivers in china. Not sure about other countries, but in America this is pretty much everywhere. Check out some of those "the driver states" videos of people bringing in their car to the mechanic or just dashcam videos and bad drivers are everywhere.
There is some truth to this. My former Chinese girlfriend refused to use indicators while changing lanes. She didn't see the need. A highway where a car would pass every four seconds was declared to be "scary" by her because it was so busy. When I visited China and asked why people don't use indicators, the answer was 'so that another driver doesn't see where you want to go and block you'. Yes, keep lane changing a sudden surprise. Driving tests in the early 2000s were dependent on the amount paid. The more you paid the faster you got your license.
This explains a lot of what I see here in Australia. Probably explains why there's no Chinese formula 1 drivers. Had this Chinese guy coming at me on the wrong side of the road. He managed to stop before colliding with me. I got out of my vehicle and started to give him a welcome to country, and a tune up about his driving skills. A member of the group came running over from another vehicle and started to explain how he was having a very bad day. No shit Sherlock. I replied. Driving on the wrong side will probably do that every time.
Here in the US it's easy for me to spot female drivers merging onto the highway because they often don't use their signal and many don't know how to merge into traffic seamlessly. Many women don't speed up when they need to in order to merge, and many slow down instead of speeding up. Men rarely do this but it's common with female drivers. This is what I personally experienced over the years, and even today it happened again.
Driving schools are the same here in Taiwan. When I tried to adjust my mirrors at driving school, the teacher stopped me and told me that the car mirrors were adjusted to pass the tests. At the end of my one month class, the person that gave me the test,, was my driving school teacher. Ha ha ha. Needless to say,, I pass the test hands down. I should have known as the school when I enrolled, guarantied that I would pass the test. Furthermore, I have noticed that a good percentage of female drivers getting their driver's license would buy the same car that they studied and passed the test with, saying "I know how to drive this car." 😆
I got my driving license in China - the emphasis is not on theory nor upon practical driving skills it is determined by whether or not a paper bag full of money can be provided.
That is just horrible! I didn't win my drivers license in the lottery and been driving for more than 10 years (without any problems what so ever). And people still judge me because I'm female. This isn't helping anyone: China needs to have real driving class and real tests...

I've been driving in Mainland since 2005 and Hong Kong since 2019. I have both licenses. HK is totally fine- aside from getting used to left side traffic, it's just like driving in Germany or US. But Mainland- OMG. The shit that I've seen on Chinese roads makes me feel like some kind of war veteran. And as a foreigner, it's always your fault. I had a scooter rider run into me at full speed while I was stopped at a red light. The guy ended up going through my rear window and into my rear seat. Serious injuries, family couldn't pay, I was called in to "drink tea" with the local police. It was hard for them to twist such an obvious case, but they did. Impounded the car until I agreed to "terms". After three days, I took partial responsibility just to get my car out of impound and get out of there. My insurance paid but my rate went up, and the rep was there the whole time by the way...did nothing to help. This was in rural guangdong, around 2007.

in China the driver tests are all judged by the computer, no person can cheat. the first test is for traffic laws, you need to complete 100 questions and pass these tests with at least 90 scores. the second test is for basic driving skills, you need pass the test with at least 80 scores and the test result are judged by computer as well. the third test is road test, you need to get at least 90 scores to pass the test, and the tests also are judged by computer. the fourth test is law and regulation test, there are 50 questions you need to get 90 scores to pass the test. after all of the four tests passed, you can get the driver license, but you can't drive on the highway within 1 year you get the license. the quickest one need takes at least 40 days to get the license if he takes the training every day and pass each test successfully just in one time.

Stereotypes exist for a reason
As..+ fe... can't get higher than that.
In the 70s I knew a Hong Kong college student studying in the US. One day she told me that she was on the Golden Gate Bridge and decided that she didn't want to be there so she put the car in reverse and started driving backwards. She said that the officer told her: " You just can't do that !"

Roadsigns? That's what those things are?
Corruption is in their culture, seriously, when you hear CCP punish corruptors, that means the "corruptors" are anti-CCP, not necessarily doing actual corruption.
ive seen this happen first hand with a Japanese female student who came to australia, SHE purchased her license in Japan, came to australia on a study visa, never driven a car, then got given a full car licence somehow by the Australian goverment, she had no idea how to even drive and she had to do driving lessons from an instructor. This instructor was one of my housemates who said he refused to let her drive and lodged a request with the goverment but they ignored him.
Not accepting responsibility and accountability is a female Hallmark 😂😂

one thing you forgot to mention about japan...before you even get a license...you have to go through driving school, and if you pass the driving school, that is the time you can even go for the actual driving licensure exams to get your license...it is very strict there...
in America they treat drivers licenses as a human right - for better and worse 🫣
That goes for literally everything in Japan, not just driving.

There is a reason why they aren't allowed in certain countries.
You can't see much from black tent
That should be worldwide rule

To be honest, this isnt special to female drivers in china. Not sure about other countries, but in America this is pretty much everywhere. Check out some of those "the driver states" videos of people bringing in their car to the mechanic or just dashcam videos and bad drivers are everywhere.
Here in Flyover country we call it DWA, stands for DRIVING WHILE ASIAN!!
And people wonder why there isnt a Formula 1 female driver in such a long time

Here in the US it's easy for me to spot female drivers merging onto the highway because they often don't use their signal and many don't know how to merge into traffic seamlessly. Many women don't speed up when they need to in order to merge, and many slow down instead of speeding up. Men rarely do this but it's common with female drivers. This is what I personally experienced over the years, and even today it happened again.

Ha ha ha. Needless to say,, I pass the test hands down.
I should have known as the school when I enrolled, guarantied that I would pass the test.
Furthermore, I have noticed that a good percentage of female drivers getting their driver's license would buy the same car that they studied and passed the test with, saying "I know how to drive this car."
