I totally agree with this and I think if you spiced up the top a little with like the criss-cross twist front (I hope I described that alright) kind of top it would be a vibe. With like optional matching shorts, that have pockets of course, for girlies like myself who want more coverage on the bottom. I would buy that, for sure.
I think the general vibe is people want to be covered to have some modesty and comfort (I.e. not feeling like you’re going to slip out and have to think about what you’re wearing every second), but still want to be modern and cute. I personally love sleeves but there must be something else that people find appealing to up the design element. Besides, with a poll from everyone, the most basic pattern will appear because I think there’s a huge diversity to what people like for a certain accent or flair to a garment.
It's funny to watch her cause you can tell it's not her style. She likes more revealing clothes (totally valid, I'm not judging) but the majority of her fanbase doesn't 😂😂😂
@@hasna2012most people arent comfortable with showing that much other body or their body types don’t really allow for it. It’s really difficult to make cute inclusive clothes for everyone bc not everyone has the same body type
@@DreamDear i def think most people don’t like too revealing clothes. People want to feel comfortable swimming and not like they might accidentally flash everyone
YES!! I would never wear cups, I just don’t have the chest for it. A bikini with a tube top, high hip, high waist, that would be my perfect swimwear!! It’s the most flattering on me because of my body type. Everyone has their own preference, some like to wear more modest swimsuits, while others prefer to leave as much skin as possible to avoid tan lines. Body types are different as well. So the “perfect swimsuit” doesn’t really exist
Internet babyyy! Swim shorts and swim skorts are lots of places and lots of them let you try on and send back if they don't fit or you don't like them. I got my swim dress/skort from Torrid and they have lots of good options. I'm sure lots are in smaller sizes too, I just haven't seen them lol.
Right? I've been looking for the right swim shorts for years. I really like swim shorts, but it so hard to find the right ones. It's either; 1) For men, no space for a butt and too much fabric at the front 2) Too short, it doesn't get past your butt 3) Doesn't realize women have wide hips, and it just drapes weird and boxy 4) Sooo few choices. From a catalog of 1000 bikini's there will be only 7 swim shorts or something.
Yeah the top looks like a bra. If she made the straps wider and the cups rounder at the top or just more character like a bow in the front or something. Ruffles would also look super cute on both top and bottom but for bottoms but lower the waist, make it fun, maybe make it a skirt? As of now it looks like shapewear. The customers are NOT always right and this is a perfect example of why. But with work it could be cute!
Honestly, I like simple bikinis. If that one was in a nice colour or pattern, I would be interested in it. I hate the decorative bikinis that give weird tan lines, I have hating half my butt out with those “cheeky” style, and I also don’t like the super hi-cut legs. Ultimately she will probably end up designing a couple of bikini tops, same with bottoms, and then a kind of cover up (so shorts/shirt/skort)
Make the spaghetti into fettuccine(wider) (because skinny straps aren’t big bitty friendly!) and add a channel for tie strings for the sides for OPTIONAL coverage! ie if you want a higher cut pull those strings TIGHT and tie to your liking!
Did you just said Granny Panties ? This design has been popular since the 50s and worn by one of the most beautiful young women at their times and looked great. It is actually unnatural these days to show as much skin as possible. I want to be able to swim i don't need dental floss while out there. The model just didn't had the right fit for it because she has a H type of Body.
@Pawpr1ntz Back then they weren't grannies. Young women wore this. What don't you understand. It was not designed for old ladies. It became popular by the it girls. And just because it is from the 50s doesn't make it and old women design.
@@719hannah Old women have not been the target group with this one back then, you guys just associate it with it because the women who wore it back then are of old age now. Back then it was a fresh new design because bikinis weren't a thing yet. It might be vintage but that's about it. Today you guys think the kardashian type should be the standard.
Same , I’m not a fan of the high waist and I don’t like the top . I prefer the traditional triangle because I have more support bc with the cups I always spill out and don’t like the look on me because It makes me look really top heavy since in really petite 😭
A one piece is perfect for me and I think many women would agree. The win was only by 1%, and instagram polls are really messed up the result really depends mainly not on the preference
She should of did one of each then since it was so close. Even if she wants to call it a win. I wouldn't agree that that was even or right. The results I mean lol
I think since it was always that people (including myself) are not only in the crop top, shorts stuff which flatters her a lot and therefore she also designs a lot, but want a more covered modest look. So this time she started designing it from the other way around asking the audience first. Now it also does not look to well, so I agree with the other comments by asking only individual questions that it only tuned out to be a very boring but also messy look. I think when she mentioned that she has a lot of options, judging by her style she probably thought that the bottom was way to boring (no booty, no cute sleve or so on)
Obviously the video was made to provoke a reaction because the final design does not make sense at all. Please make a poll that makes more sense with top-bottom combinations. I also try to keep my opinion to myself but: the not closed back with the string is a stupid add-on - I didn't even see it in the poll. These kind of bikinis only make sense outside of the water when you put on sunscreen. A perfect bikini must also be useful for in the water.
one of the swimsuit shapes i WISH were more popular are skirts! i like my thighs to be more covered up when i'm at the beach, and little swimming dresses/two pieces would be so cute
At the beach I only wear skirts with attached swimming trunks. They are hard to find and sometimes people look kind of funny at me, but it's what I feel most comfortable in. They give more coverage and - in my opinion - look nicer than shorts.
Honestly you’re the designer. I love a lot of your fashion and fitness products and think they’re all unique and amazing. But I think your best work comes when you roam free and create pieces that are all YOU. Like don’t worry about polling for preferences. Express yourself to the fullest because it’s in those moments that you make stuff we will all love.
I think she should still care what the clientele would want, that's what we all appreciate, but yes she should feel free to have her creative freedom and experiment!
If you make a swimsuit that helps people who are weak to the sun (meaning a lot of coverage) and are capable of making it cute then you’d officially be my favorite designer
Yes! My shoulders seem to burn and blister no matter what sunscreen I use and I don’t want to put my faith into another sunscreen just to be dying for days after. I don’t want to look like I’m scuba diving, but I don’t want to worry about becoming a lobster.
@@karrotz2000 I understand this in my deepest soul. Well, I'm not allergic to sunscreen but no matter what brands I used, my skin is so easily tanned, not exactly burned because it doesn't hurt at all, but I hate it when I got out from the pool/beach looking like a zebra
I appreciate the full coverage, it's giving almost vintage vibes! I know you can design it to look gorg with different colours, boning, accents, etc to give it the right shaping illusions and pop. Thanks Cassie for doing the lord's work out there! :)
I think a swimsuit version of your athletic skort would be cute, it will cover modestly while also being cute. I also think color plays a big role. While black is a classic color, it is not for everyone. I personally try to wear as little black as possible because I adore colors. I would play with solid colors, for example, bold colors like lemon yellow or Barbie pink
Yes! I personally love black but but I agree she should make the a swimsuit skort. I personally don’t like my cheeks showing in swimsuits lol, but I’m also not a fan of swimming in shorts. Skirts are so cute and good if you wanna be modest
I mean what are your opinions? Because it sounds to me like a bunch of women with average sized bodies who like modest coverage voted for comfort over everything. The design wasn’t the slightest bit fancy but honestly having comfortable swimwear is harder to find that you’d think.
Yeah. I prefer tankinis myself. It the one piece with the option of being able to go to the bathroom without the hassle. LoL also looks like a decent outfit when it's shorts and a shirt. Edited for misspell
I know nobody really cares but it’s so basic and I feel covers too much. The fun in swimwear is gone. I feel the votes were way too close together so not a lot of people are going to be happy
Im thinking puffy sleeves with a top and a high waisted skirt or a full swim dress. I’ve got a swim dress but without the sleeves. Altho I wonder how they would fit when wet…
oh yes, the bottom the bottom the bottom- I'd rather we give feedbacks than starting it up. 😅 Or at least she should set a theme or something so we all can create smth that's matching with the idea. Like is this for the girly girls or is this fashionably sporty, is this gym pool bikini or is this beach day hangout, y'know😂 the idea is good, but too many ideas to execute
Unpopular opinion: it makes no sense to ask casey for a design you can find everywhere else. if people wanna wear basic clothes they could shop litterally anywhere
I think if she added her hourglass waistband and made the back more like her cutout sports bras and added some personality with a cover up piece it would be worth it. But yes the current design is gonna be designer priced but cheap looking
Exactly. This exact swimsuit is at walmart. Its unbelievable how everyone said no to every single interesting design element including poofy sleeves and a bow or the interesting waistline or genuinely anything that sets the design apart. Casey definitely should've given her opinion. She shouldn't have to make items that she doesn't like
Personally I LOVE a swim dress/skirt. You can get creative with cute little butterfly sleeves. Wider shoulder straps are almost always more flattering. A sweetheart neckline would give it such a cute vintage vibe too ❤✨ Add in a curved/ V waistband and it will look more snatched. If you’re going for full coverage in the back, there needs to be something else going on, like hip ruffles or a funky print so they don’t come out looking like grannie panties
You should do a digital mix-and-match piece design and let people vote on the results, that way they can see the final product of their votes and adjust accordingly
For the life of me, Cassie PLEASE at least consider designing a tankini that ACTUALLY LOOKS NICE. Every single one either has a boring, unflattering design, or is super sporty and way too brightly colored. I know u would do amazing if u would want to make one Edit: I saw some people mentioning shorts, and I completely agree. Tankini top and swim shorts are my go-to and I recently had to find new ones of each because of weight loss. (Which your videos actually played a key part in). Both good quality tankini tops AND shorts are rare, THIS MUST BE CHANGED
Agreed! I prefer belly and 🩲 coverage, and it's so hard to find swimwear that meets that without looking....old 😅 like, is it so much to ask for some shorts and a tummy-covering top that actually looks cute? (And Ideally isn't $400, because I really don't have much spare money 😅)
One million percent YES I'm a one piece or tankini girl and it's so hard to find one that looks nice, the one I have now, I've had for, I think, 5 or 6 years now cause I got it the year of/year before my son was born.. it's a dress. It's literally a dress made from swimsuit material, and, obviously, it covers great, but I look like an old lady wearing it. I've literally only seen, like, 5 other people wearing it and they were all 50+😅😢😢
Yes, a cute tankini with regular straps (not halter top - cause it hurts my neck and not enough coverage) and bottoms with full coverage but doesn’t make me look like I’m over 50 or wearing a mumu (I’m currently plus sized so finding a cute bathing suit that is reasonably priced is super hard)
I am impressed that this swimsuit is nearly the opposite of everything I would have possibly liked. I hope more fun ideas get brainstormed because I would love a swimsuit from you
Right?? I feel like the bottoms are so… ehh bland. The high waist is cute sometimes but always a recipe for an odd tan line. And the back is unflattering. I don’t mind the top much, but I would have gone for a halter tie. Idk, tbh I’m heavily biased towards string tied bikinis and this swimsuit is the exact opposite of what I’d wear lol
Me personally, i’m not as confident as you, and I love skorts, I would probably prefer if it was a one piece swimsuit with a skirt(of course with built in shorts). I think its very feminine but also gives coverage❤❤❤
gonna be honest: no. and here's my personal reasons why. - TOO high waisted. at that point just wear a one piece. - Bottoms are just not flattering at all. - Cups and pleats makes the boobs look saggy - Thin straps makes the chest look disproportionately elongated - Thin straps in general are horrible lmao, absolutely no support and WILL slide down your shoulders Improvements I would make: - More chest coverage/security. almost a compression-like fit but not suffocating (like a sports bra!) - Lower the high waist a little to just above the belly button - Make the leg cutouts a liiiiittle higher while still maintaining coverage. - Add a gather on the hip seams by where the leg holes are (if that makes sense) - GET RID OF THE BACKS THAT YOU HAVE TO TIE UP YOURSELF. it WILL come loose and you WILL flash people. I don't know anyone personally that likes having to reach behind you to tie stuff up. someone can also easily just -wOOP- and your top is gone.
the only problem i have w the improvements are the back ties… bc some ppl have a larger and smaller rib cage… it would be even harder to find a good fit… plus if you are that worried about it coming lose just double knot it… i’ve never had a double knot fail me
I disagree with alot of what u said I love high waisted but hate one pieces I have a high waist line and a bigger tummy I love high waisted stuff cuz it covers my tummy but I can still show a little skin with a high waisted bikini which I like also thin straps r not horrible as long as they r adjustable thick straps r awful they r painful and with thin straps I can loosen them and let them slide off my shoulders to give my shoulders a break I have very large boobs and iv always hated thick straps thick fabric and padding I usually get stuff with removable padding and take them out right away also I would NOT like to swim in a sports bra or anything with compression fit also a tie up top is great and means u only have to make sure the cup part fits the rest will fit no matter what size or shape ur body is
omg me too!! it’s literally so hard now days. like girl if you want to wear a thong pop off but personally i have to wear my swimsuit in front of my religious parents. i can get away with a two piece but i don’t want to send them into a coma.
I tried the crossover high waisted bikini bottoms from aerie once... I keep rebuying them now because I love them so much!! I sound like a sponsor lmao but they're seriously awesome because they have full coverage and i don't feel like I'm gonna flash anyone while I'm swimming
I think people probably voted based on their insecurities and not based on what would look good on their body. For example; I always love the “ Cheeky“ look on the model but when I ordered a bathing suit in that style and put it on I realized what I like and what looks good in my body type are different….just food for thought!❤
Honestly, they shouldve gone to another designer instead of her then. Blogilates' clothes are clearly made for someone comfortable and confident with their bodies, not for people who are insecure and nervous to show even a bit of skin
@@graconcrac accept they totally were cause calling someone a name and invalidating their preferences is very insulting Imagine if I called them attention seeking for wanting to show skin It's to the same effect Telling people their likes are cause of mental problems is extremely disrespectful
Insecurities r not a big thing nowadays and girls just easily walk naked without hesitation saying this is feminism and I think all those women's who voted for this r definitely the high value respectful women's
I think what a lot of people look for in a perfect swimsuit is better construction of a garment so it will last better over time, along with a nice fade resistant fabric. Those are important factors that often get ignored when trying to make suits cuter or more fashionable.
Good support without causing sore neck and shoulder blade area, flattering for small and big chests, doesn't have to be designs but navy blue for a black that might still be subtle but a little color, neon colors that are bright, and some basic colors that anyone can work with, coverage but flattering- period proof and if it's high cut it needs to cover 🙀 so that nothing is revealed- and maybe a longer top so it's less underwear vibes
They're a little expensive, but I really recommend the brand Jolyn (they have 1 and 2 piece and you can get them on sale or ive gotten some second hand in good condition if that doesn't bother you). I've had one of their swimsuits for basically 6 years thats been worn most summers 4x/week for about 4ish hours in the pool at a time, and then at least 3x/week during the rest of the year for club swim and it's still in very good condition. I finally started to notice pilling only recently and it hasn't impacted the wearability of the suit at all. Whenever I tried to buy a two-piece from a regular store I was super skeptical of all the fabric because I didn't think it would be good in the long term.
I think people may like this because of the coverage, but to me it looks a little bit off and it would definitely look unflattering on my body. Instead, you could pick ideas from other designs of yours, but make it light, waterproof and bikini material. For example, you could try and do the waist of the bikini as your crossed leggings (and this way you incorporate a little bit of yourself in the design), while still having the coverage (though I prefer the cheeky one or at least LESS coverage). You could even add the seams you put normally in your leggings to enhance the booty area of the bikini. And you could add bows or some cool decorations to the top (and even the bottom) as well as making it other color.
The thing about coverage is that you could do, if it's possible, 2 options: one of full coverage and other more cheeky. To me, when it comes to searching for a bikini bottom that looks good on me, is finding one that would look similar to the type of underwear I usually wear. That way, I know the bikini will sit comfortably on my body.
Omg yes dude this is exactly what I was thinking! I was even gonna suggest the cross waist myself! Maybe it could be a halter top or a cross back strap to add some intrigue? Or maybe even the like crossover top design? I mostly like it shape wise but it just feels a little eh at the moment.
Wetsuits are so annoying to get on and off, and so uncomfortable! The swimsuit looks amazing, but maybe could you try to make a wetsuit for the water-sport people? ❤❤
I actually can't believe that no one wanted sleeves! My dream is a one-piece with a cute little long-sleeve shrug over top to protect me from the sun and wind. Edit: I thought about this way too much. You need to make a bikini AND one piece. And a cute, light, quick-drying long-sleeved shrug with some spf included.
25% wanted sleeves on a bikini and almost 30% wanted them on a one piece so, I'm not gonna do the math, but out of 250,000 people I'd say at least a few thousand agree with you
Yes! I burn easily and have moles on my arms and shoulders. My dad had to get skin cancer removed so I'm very conscious about keeping the sun off my moles and avoiding burns. Sunscreen alone is not enough, sleeves would be lovely and let me enjoy swimming outdoors.
I'm actually glad to see one pieces get that many votes. I love one pieces and often get asked why I'm not wearing a bikini, which i think is odd. I tend to be more modest, plus I burn really easy, so the more coverage, the better 😅
I'm a guy and I generally wear a suit or shirt or something, and that confuses so many people. Like, I could go shirtless! But I also burn really easily and prefer coverage. Plus, when I dive head first from higher up I don't want to end up without my shorts lol
I love the way she tries to find the perfect thing for everyone, even though it seems impossible. Blogilates, I love your energy, positivity and your kindness. Please never change!!!
Issue is, I literally already have that exact swimsuit and have seen numerous others like it. I think one of the things that sets you apart is that you listen to your audience, sure, but that you _also_ create unique products seldom seen elsewhere. Ultimately, you have to make what works best for you - your heart is the core of this company. Your vision is what caught our attention in the first place; we love you and the things you’ve created. If you make a swimsuit you’re happy with, we’ll be happy too. ^-^
💡 idea: what about making an existing design water wearable? I really love the dress skort design you’ve made in the past and I think it would make a great swimsuit.
Just remember that you can always make several version of a product. One thing cannot please everyone. If some people have specific needs, it's good that you wanna listen to them. That means that if two needs in one product contradict each other, you need two different product for those different types of clients. You're a great designer.
@Cloozy Of course, but she's pretty famous and successful. I know she makes multiple types of designs and I think we can successful launch multiple swimsuits and make up for the coast in sales.
Exactly. I think it’s important to remember that different people like different things. I have what some would consider the typical “model body” (thing arms and legs, tiny waist and nice boobs/butt), but I literally LIVE in one pieces. I just prefer the coverage for my own personal reasons. However when I do wear two-pieces, I tend to wear full coverage top and bottom - but not high rise, nor high thigh cut. I am 6’2” without shoes on and DON’T want to emphasize my leg length. I want to look 50/50 equal upper half and lower half. So it’s honestly really hard to find bottoms that aren’t high rise with high thigh slits. There’s nothing wrong with those styles for people who genuinely enjoy and feel their best wearing them, I just prefer mid to low rise short shorts and a triangle top for my two-pieces. 💁🏽♀️
I think the devil will be in the details with this design. Adding a cute tie at the front, crossing the straps, fun patterns/colors are going to make this look less like a basic, boring suit and more on brand for you. Like imagine a tie on the suit that mimics the ones on the high pony hats, pairing them together would be a moment! 😍
She probably just picked out photos from similar products online before she makes the final product just to make sure it’s what her viewers actually want
Do the V shape waistband, make the bikini top cover the ribs (maybe with cut outs? or do a corset style tankini!), and add flowy cap sleeves that can be either on or off shoulder. Also love the idea of two types of tops/bottoms that you buy separately to mix and match, one set being more modest and the other showy, so if you want more coverage on the top but not the bottom or vise vera. More modest set would be daisy dukes and corset top, showy set would be high cut and bikini top, sold separately so you can mix them.
OKAY HEAR ME OUT!!!! For the waistband, keep it high-waisted, but make it like your leggings design. I love how it made any waist feel SNATCHED. If you do not understand what I am talking about, it is the v-layered waistband. It is flexible, but also not ugly-looking, (actually it is quite cute) The high waisted is a great idea, but then maybe make the POINT of the v-layered waistband lower so it gives less granny pannies and more high-cut swimwear. Also, the top of the cups are curved in a way FAR too similar to a bra. Possibly, keep the bottom of the bra-part, but make the top more straight-lined to show some more cleavage and get that nice summer tan!!!! Let me know??? Also, if you agree please like so she changes it??!!! Love y'all
Love this idea! I also think more options for the straps would be nice. Some people look GREAT in straps like that, but other would also look just as great in a halter piece!
No hate. All your another deisgns are AMAZING. But this one is NOT IT. Neither one of the top or bottoms are flattering. EXSPECIALLY THE BOTTOMS. You should design one that YOU like. When you usually do that, these prices turn out way better.❤ Edit 1: THANK U SM FOR THE LIKES❤ Edit 2: ok I get it u don’t agree with me but it’s my oppinion so stop trying to fight me! Edit 3: I DONT WANNA BE THAT PERSON BUT TYSM FOR THE LIKES HAHA
I agree. This was a bit of a miss. But it’s hard to mishmash everyone’s tastes together from the ground up. It helps if we have a base to see and modify.
@@Hiii553can something not be both flattering and comfortable? Even if i would be "comfortable" in this, i would look like a bloated whale which would make me not want to wear it out. I would be uncomfortable with how it looked on me, making the physical comfort thing pretty null if i don't want people to see me in it.
this has me thinking, and i think my dream swimsuit is actually two different swimsuits. a sleeveless one piece with compression up top, full coverage on bottom, a high neckline, and side cutouts to show off the waist, then a bikini that has a high waisted high cut bottom, with a ribboned halter top (with cups!!!!!) and maaaaaybe some cute off the shoulder gathered sleeves just for the ✨️Aesthetic✨️. i can never pick between one or two piece swimsuits! id love to see a polled design but for a one piece suit
this is awesome! making them in matching prints and solids for the mic and match moment would be great too. sometimes ur feeling a lil cheeky and maybe sometimes ur feeling full coverage
The swimsuit is simple. If she wants to make it interesting, she should add two details to the bottoms. Like having a V slit the same one her anti-camels pants have. Also, maybe adding a ruching fabric to the but/back part. That could help. 💫🩷🏊♂️
Can you PLEASE still make a one-piece this would be a good option for the 47% that did NOT want a 2 piece + I would like to see what you can come up with for competitive swim! Anyway luv ur vids Edit: she has One called the bombshell one piece I think (go check it out)

@@violet-swimTHIS IS SO REAL. I HAVE TO WEAR ANOTHER SUIT UNDER MY MEET SUIT BC THEY MADE MINE TOO BIG AND APPARENTLY IT'S GONNA TAKE LIKE 4 WEEKS TO GET HERE AND SWIM SEASON WOULD'VE ALREADY ENDED BY THEN 😭😭😭😭
This is Cassie telling y'all that some of the suggestions you give her don't pop like you thought they would. She's the designer with the skill set. TRUST HER! ALSO, in my opinion high waisted swimsuit bottoms never did anyone any favors lol
To be fair it depends on material used as well. There's many material options and pattern options and it would be good to see it on different bodies. High waisted is much more flattering on many people.
High waisted looks flattering on many people mainly for the fact that if the cutouts are right if the cloths and textiles are of quality material it will really flatter the body it elongates the legs and the higher the cutout the longer the leg it also shortens the torso and hide the softness in the lower tummy for many people that are not a big fan of showing it off (like me pcos belly is real) of course if you’re more round and have a shorter torso it might not look “right” as in it might press into the skin more and it could shorten the appearance of the torso *too* much so then you just end up looking compressed which isn’t really a look I heard many people opt for in the fashion world
I love high waisted jeans, pants, shorts, & skirts. But high waisted swimsuit bottoms or underwear is a not a cute look TO ME, no matter what material or pattern it’s made with. There is just something about them that just doesn’t look cute on anyone, in my opinion.
I personally feel like the top is giving bra vibes and would be better if it had some element of design or like a criss cross somewhere. Besides that it looks amazing!
I think that more of a mid-waist would suit this instead of high-waist bcuz the swimsuit actually looks good! Also, I feel like you should make both one-pieces and bikinis
I just use a sports bra and shorts as my swimsuit. Super comfy and doesn't bring anxiety unlike bikinis or regular swimsuits. It looks a lot like your design but is more comfortable.
I would der do that but in many european places thats is not aloud especially in France and italy i think..in any case in the Netherlands you have to wear swim cloths made from.swim fabric a regular guys short isnt aloud bras or sport tops also not allowed.. in swimming pools 🤷♀️ but we have nude beaches no worries what to wear there..
I think also you have to ask if they are going to be active with the swimwear or just for sunbathing. That really changes what kind of bikini you need/want.
Maybe i have opinions a bit too strong on this because i'm brazilian, but the full coverage bottoms are so ugly, like ugly to the level i think not even my grandma would wear that (older people usually wear mid coverage or don't swim at all)
@@fulana_de_tal yeeees I'm Brazilian too and even tho I tend to be a bit more on the modest side, I think that's way too much coverage. And it would leave such an ugly mark.
@@fulana_de_tal Yeah, we definitely have a much more conservative culture with butt coverage in the U.S. Even European bottoms feel too revealing for a lot of the women I know.
I’m sure you can make it look better than this. The sketch of the design is awesome but the actual product looks like a failed attempt at making it or like it was done to purposely look bad.
Honestly i find it so hard to get a swimsuit that i can wear without having to shave or show to much. My biggest dream is for a designer as talanted as you to make a swim dress!!!! With paded cups built in shorts and cute✨✨
@@erinvanlyssel I've had a look at the skim swim dress but the only one I could find was one that was quite tight around the legs and I would really like something a little more flowy. Thx for the suggestion though 🤗✨
Whenever I go to the beach I feel so weird cause I’m pretty much the only one wearing swim shorts. I don’t feel comfortable revealing too much. Your idea is so cool I wish she made that!
This swimsuit is not flattering at all. I really hate it, and most people in the comments on Instagram hated it too. I think the bottoms are too high for a bikini and if you want that much coverage, you should just wear a one piece. The top is too sexy for bottoms so I think if it was higher coverage then it would pull the look together but it looks like two seperate pieces right now. I love how you listen to your followers though Cassie ❤️
You mean the end result she showed? Yeah it’s like she was trying to make it look bad. She does this with anything she makes that doesn’t fit her body type specifically. Even though the majority of women don’t have her body type. She did the same thing with the long skirt she made and kept saying she didn’t like it despite the majority of the comments saying it would fit their body type better than the short one she makes
@@milflover6969 I agree, her adding these comments about how she didn’t like them even though she is running the polls is weird. Not everyone is has a slim rectangular shape like her
@@suprememilkers413 exactly like what’s the point of asking people what they want? At that point just make what you want. Don’t ask just to criticize and pretend it’s bad
I think the problem is that you made it look too much like lingerie. You don't need defined cups like that for the top, and the bottoms don't need to be THAT highwaisted like shapewear. I understand this may not be your style, but don't make it look like that. You can make it cute but covered, I've seen it done by other companies.
@Xavier Plympton’s Tongue I understand that, and I'm one of those people. But for a swimsuit, I believe it's way too high. Usually, highwaisted bottoms come right above or at the bellybutton.
Yeah…Shes trying to go off what majority says, and sadly it seems the majority want to cover up as much as possible due maybe to low self esteem or conservatism. this is like a swimsuit from the 50s.
I like that you were listening to what people wanted. Also, I like that the model you used is not 'skinny' & has a 'good figure' - not big, but I like that you are so inclusive & you always 'walk your talk'!
Ummmm? You can buy a basic suit anywhere, I WANT TO SEE YOU CREATE. You are an artist and always create something I didn't know I wanted. Maybe your scourt design as a swimsuit bottom? I worry a lot about a sun burn so maybe create something cute but with a safe amount of coverage for the most sensitive areas. Like the long sleeve short sweater thing? I have never seen a long sleep bikini top. Maybe it is semi sheer with the cups?
Why would you want full coverage? Do you not want to get some tan? Do you want certain parts of your body to get tan and the rest of your body to remain pale?
I get that this is not the cutest assembly from a design perspective, but it proves that we are in a desperate need for a swimsuit with proper coverage that makes us feel comfortable in the summer. It's hard to find that lately!
The problem is that the same swimsuit on two different bodies can have totally different coverage. I have wide hips so "full coverage" bottoms work their way up into a thong on me, but the "cheeky" cut ends up staying in place better. And high cut bottoms are considered revealing to some people, but again, stay in place better on my form.
@Nicole Ayala you are completely correct in thinking it's close to 1950s style swimwear. The only difference is 50s bikinis had mire rouging at the sides on the bottoms and more stylised tops.
Personally, I wouldn’t bc it’s not the design for me. But, I absolutely love how much work you put into this and how you actually asked people what they wanted ❤️
Not a pro designer here but just some opinions: the waistband is very straight, and I feel like curving it a bit while keeping it high wasted would give a more snatched affect and adding line across the curve would make the bottoms less blank. As for the top, maybe making the straps thicker and making the bow sewed in, because I can never tie those properly 😅
Even you know we werent thinking that love! Go with your gut and make your own design and let us help you modify it! Still be creative and dont let what others want too much get in your head ❤
that would! it would probably be so hard to make though with all the colors and options. i could definitely see this working as more of an etsy shop kinda thing!
I’m very nostalgic for a swimsuit I had that I was nine years old that had shorts. They were so comfortable. It was like boxers, but in swimsuit material and I think that’s what we all want.
Yes!! Why do men get to be comfortable, and we have to worry about flashing ppl at every move, about razor bumps, or what our butt looks like... I would love some high wasted, flaring and flowy shorts, with a cute pattern that would be not only more comfortable but also more flattering (imo)
A swim dress would be amazing! Especially since I am very busty, bikinis are an absolute no for me. If I wear my high impact bra to the beach I need something covering it that looks cute.
I would love some of the current athletic dress designs tweaked into a swimdress. I am also very busty and on the tall side, so torso length is always an issue for me with one-pieces.
@@p0kepix3lseveryone has a unique relationship with their body. some people like me! are cool with having their tummy exposed by a bikini but don't feel comfortable without coverage on their ass. it's ok if u don't like the full coverage look!
Idk, cups are hard bc you have to personalize a lot more, and if you don’t they can be uncomfortable. The rest just feels a little average. 🤷🏼♀️ you always have cool unique stuff and styles, but this doesn’t scream you. (I think you noticed that too lol) Just my thoughts :) love your channel!! ❤❤❤
This is definitely something I was looking for when I was looking for retro bathing suits. All it needs is the picnic blanket design and boom! Retro swim suit!
Puffy sleeves and bigger top for more coverage ..i actually saw many Korean store having those, suppperrr cute and covered the right amount ,the top can even be worn elsewear with a skirt or pants
I think the problem is that every part was polled separately, so things that don't go well together ended up mixed
Yes, she needs to just separate the two items and pick a piece that goes better with each to make them separate looks
Yeah I would rather have a different design for each category of polls cause people have different tastes. There doesn’t have to be just one.
@@sarvin4471 yeah like plus size will have different choices than itty bitty titty community.
Yes exactly.

The perfect swimsuit is subjective to one’s own preference
Yes, exactly, thank you
Wow that’s crazy what a revolutionary idea :|

I'm still waiting for the day when swim shorts become popular and accessible
I get swim shorts because I think they are so comfortable and I don't have to worry about my bottom hang out while playing with my kiddo.
It's either;
1) For men, no space for a butt and too much fabric at the front
2) Too short, it doesn't get past your butt
3) Doesn't realize women have wide hips, and it just drapes weird and boxy
4) Sooo few choices. From a catalog of 1000 bikini's there will be only 7 swim shorts or something.
I LOVE SWIM SHORTS you don't have to worry about shaving every single time you want to go swimming

But like, those pieces are part of the shop..

Ok but granny panties have the comfort and coverage. Maybe not great for a swimsuit though, I'd prefer shorts
Did you just said Granny Panties ? This design has been popular since the 50s and worn by one of the most beautiful young women at their times and looked great. It is actually unnatural these days to show as much skin as possible. I want to be able to swim i don't need dental floss while out there. Yas
@@EssentialBluewhat you mean by not make sense?

Right it’s so weird to me that I’m literally like in underwear in front of god and everybody I’ve ever known
Add in a curved/ V waistband and it will look more snatched. If you’re going for full coverage in the back, there needs to be something else going on, like hip ruffles or a funky print so they don’t come out looking like grannie panties
You should do a digital mix-and-match piece design and let people vote on the results, that way they can see the final product of their votes and adjust accordingly
YES THIS ONE!
For the life of me, Cassie PLEASE at least consider designing a tankini that ACTUALLY LOOKS NICE. Every single one either has a boring, unflattering design, or is super sporty and way too brightly colored. I know u would do amazing if u would want to make one
Edit: I saw some people mentioning shorts, and I completely agree.
I've literally only seen, like, 5 other people wearing it and they were all 50+😅😢😢
I would love like a swim tank top that is tight to the body and has a cute pattern that does not give old lady!!
Geode Swimwear has a bunch of cute affordable tankinis! :)
Idk, tbh I’m heavily biased towards string tied bikinis and this swimsuit is the exact opposite of what I’d wear lol

ikr high waisted i’d disgusting and makes me feel fat asf
I HATE the bottoms but gone top is fine
Same lol, literally almost everything in the polls was the opposite of what i would've picked
- Cups and pleats makes the boobs look saggy
- Thin straps makes the chest look disproportionately elongated
- Thin straps in general are horrible lmao, absolutely no support and WILL slide down your shoulders
Improvements I would make:
- More chest coverage/security. almost a compression-like fit but not suffocating (like a sports bra!)
- Lower the high waist a little to just above the belly button
- Make the leg cutouts a liiiiittle higher while still maintaining coverage.
- Add a gather on the hip seams by where the leg holes are (if that makes sense)
- GET RID OF THE BACKS THAT YOU HAVE TO TIE UP YOURSELF. it WILL come loose and you WILL flash people. I don't know anyone personally that likes having to reach behind you to tie stuff up. someone can also easily just -wOOP- and your top is gone.
yesss all of these were exactly my thoughts
amazing feedback i agree with every point you made!!!!
yessssss!
the only problem i have w the improvements are the back ties… bc some ppl have a larger and smaller rib cage… it would be even harder to find a good fit… plus if you are that worried about it coming lose just double knot it… i’ve never had a double knot fail me
I disagree with alot of what u said I love high waisted but hate one pieces I have a high waist line and a bigger tummy I love high waisted stuff cuz it covers my tummy but I can still show a little skin with a high waisted bikini which I like also thin straps r not horrible as long as they r adjustable thick straps r awful they r painful and with thin straps I can loosen them and let them slide off my shoulders to give my shoulders a break I have very large boobs and iv always hated thick straps thick fabric and padding I usually get stuff with removable padding and take them out right away also I would NOT like to swim in a sports bra or anything with compression fit also a tie up top is great and means u only have to make sure the cup part fits the rest will fit no matter what size or shape ur body is
Omg yes ! I love the high waist hight hip vibe but have been struggling to find one that is still full coverage in the back !

I tried the crossover high waisted bikini bottoms from aerie once... I keep rebuying them now because I love them so much!! I sound like a sponsor lmao but they're seriously awesome because they have full coverage and i don't feel like I'm gonna flash anyone while I'm swimming
Try target!! They have full / mid coverage high waisted bottoms !
I think it's best to pair with some black shorts they go well with everything but yeah I totally feel so otherwise
I think people probably voted based on their insecurities and not based on what would look good on their body. I've always wanted a swimsuit with underwire cups! I didn't know it was an actual thing 😮
This is great! Personally though I prefer thicker straps
i also like the thicker straps!!
same, definitely
Yeah more support and looks seamless
Definitely
Exactly the same for me! That’s literally the only change I’d make lol
Would love a bathing suit short with your cross waist design. As long as the top is supportive and I don't feel like I'm falling out I can vibe
wtf is a waterproof bikini????
People don't know what they want until you show it to them... Design what YOU love, and plenty of people will love it too!

I'm a guy and I generally wear a suit or shirt or something, and that confuses so many people. Like, I could go shirtless! But I also burn really easily and prefer coverage. Plus, when I dive head first from higher up I don't want to end up without my shorts lol
One pc suits never fit. With all the different body types out there I suspect this isn’t unique to me.
I think bikini with low waist but good butt coverage ( give us swim shorts option too) and sexy halter top would be perfect !!
I have to say that your words are so sweet! Keep being kind 😊
💡 idea: what about making an existing design water wearable? I really love the dress skort design you’ve made in the past and I think it would make a great swimsuit.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Yes!!!!
Or the onesie!
Her tiered skirt would be amazing as a bathing suit. There aren’t that many bathing suits with skirts, and she could get that part of the market
Yes that would be an adorable swim suit!
GIRL SHOW US YOURRRRRR THOUGHTS!! I BET THAT SWIMSUIT IS BOMB, DON’T JUST KEEP THOSE THOUGHTS TO YOURSELF!!
Ily Cassey!!
I love your stuff🤩! Can you make a one piece with full coverage next?
Just remember that you can always make several version of a product. One thing cannot please everyone. If some people have specific needs, it's good that you wanna listen to them. That means that if two needs in one product contradict each other, you need two different product for those different types of clients. You're a great designer.
@Cloozy Of course, but she's pretty famous and successful. I know she makes multiple types of designs and I think we can successful launch multiple swimsuits and make up for the coast in sales.
And not every cup shape etc is for every body type
This
@@kategreen1482 I was surprised majority voted for cups since I don’t see many bathing suits with cups
Personally I find it to be a boring design
Literally looks like grandma underwear attempting to modernise on the top half
Fr
I think it's not the final design tho? She might as well add more to it later, it's just the basics here
Yeah it just looks like ugly underwear and a bra 🤔
Yes!
yess
I agree! If it were a one piece then absolutely
I do agree
No hate. All your another deisgns are AMAZING. But this one is NOT IT. Neither one of the top or bottoms are flattering. EXSPECIALLY THE BOTTOMS. You should design one that YOU like. When you usually do that, these prices turn out way better.❤

YES i 100% agree
Abby its not about how flattering it is, its suppost to be how it can make it comfy enough for yourself in every way
@@Hiii553can something not be both flattering and comfortable? Even if i would be "comfortable" in this, i would look like a bloated whale which would make me not want to wear it out. Ye same
DEFİNETELY (altough i can't buy it...)
yes, yes, yes!
this has me thinking, and i think my dream swimsuit is actually two different swimsuits. a sleeveless one piece with compression up top, full coverage on bottom, a high neckline, and side cutouts to show off the waist, then a bikini that has a high waisted high cut bottom, with a ribboned halter top (with cups!!!!!) and maaaaaybe some cute off the shoulder gathered sleeves just for the ✨️Aesthetic✨️. i can never pick between one or two piece swimsuits! id love to see a polled design but for a one piece suit
I think you should make all of the different top and bottom pieces, but designed so that you can mix and match.
Yes bc I certainly don't want my butt out 🥴
This is the way
So....Skims swimsuit range then
this is awesome! making them in matching prints and solids for the mic and match moment would be great too. sometimes ur feeling a lil cheeky and maybe sometimes ur feeling full coverage

i would loove a longsleeve swimsuit! so great for sun coverage without needing to worry about sunscreen on arms.
Second this
Yesssssssssssss!!!!!!
I think this would be perfect as well as more coverage for the top so there's no chance of your boobs slipping out
I too.
Agree!
The sleeves were gorgeous
Loooooove the poofy sleeves! I hope you make another version with them!
YES

Yes! Love that idea!

Anyway luv ur vids

High waisted looks flattering on many people mainly for the fact that if the cutouts are right if the cloths and textiles are of quality material it will really flatter the body it elongates the legs and the higher the cutout the longer the leg it also shortens the torso and hide the softness in the lower tummy for many people that are not a big fan of showing it off (like me pcos belly is real) of course if you’re more round and have a shorter torso it might not look “right” as in it might press into the skin more and it could shorten the appearance of the torso *too* much so then you just end up looking compressed which isn’t really a look I heard many people opt for in the fashion world
I don’t like high waisted because the are very unflattering and actually makes my stomach more prominent.
I love high waisted jeans, pants, shorts, & skirts. But high waisted swimsuit bottoms or underwear is a not a cute look TO ME, no matter what material or pattern it’s made with. There is just something about them that just doesn’t look cute on anyone, in my opinion.
As somebody with a gut, highwaisted swimsuits do a lot of people favors, thank you very much🙄
You should design a onesies version(some people might be insecure about their body and prefer a onesies)
i would prefer a regular waisted one, but i would still totally buy this!
YES PLEASE
You can tell majority of the votes were made by insecure people. If you're not comfortable with a real swimsuit just wear shorts and a tank top.
Love the full coverage. I just think for the bottoms, you can keep them, but making it a skirt/skort would look cutier.
Does the water dehibit you from movement in that? If not then I may try that
@@mallowwings Not that I have noticed.
Bikinis that are for swimming sports are often very similar to sportswear cuts but they dry a bit fastet😅
tbh this is IT
f tired of how exposed i feel in bikinis
boxer like short and comfy top are the best
surfer style
I would der do that but in many european places thats is not aloud especially in France and italy i think..in any case in the Netherlands you have to wear swim cloths made from.swim fabric a regular guys short isnt aloud bras or sport tops also not allowed.. in swimming pools 🤷♀️ but we have nude beaches no worries what to wear there..
I think also you have to ask if they are going to be active with the swimwear or just for sunbathing. That really changes what kind of bikini you need/want.
That’s key - something I’d be vacationing in/at the beach would not be the same as going to an amusement park or a pool
I- UWEH- I- BUT THE POOFY SLEEVES- THEY WERE SO CUTE! 😭
YASS 😢
We need more swimsuits with puffy sleeves!!
@@UsagiMimiChu yes!
@Cheeto oh- just relised how dumb we are 😶
She is a genius for doing this , I've been loving her workouts years, and I can't wait to buy her stuff she's worked so hard on.
Omg I’m dying lol she is right the bottoms can be between cheeky and full coverage I love the high waisted idea and love the bra top
The bottoms could also be color-blocked to give the illusion of a more modern shape while maintaining coverage.
Maybe i have opinions a bit too strong on this because i'm brazilian, but the full coverage bottoms are so ugly, like ugly to the level i think not even my grandma would wear that (older people usually wear mid coverage or don't swim at all)
@@fulana_de_tal yeeees
I'm Brazilian too and even tho I tend to be a bit more on the modest side, I think that's way too much coverage. And it would leave such an ugly mark.
@@fulana_de_tal Yeah, we definitely have a much more conservative culture with butt coverage in the U.S. Even European bottoms feel too revealing for a lot of the women I know.
@@livia9148 same, i tend to prefer more coverage, but this is just too much, and i agree, it would leave an ugly mark
Omg yessss that would be so cool!
I know it’s not who you’d probably want to design it but Skims has a swim dress and other more coverage swim options (like shorts and long sleeve)
@@erinvanlyssel I've had a look at the skim swim dress but the only one I could find was one that was quite tight around the legs and I would really like something a little more flowy. Thx for the suggestion though 🤗✨
Yeah, I really liked swim shorts as a teen & swim skirts
Whenever I go to the beach I feel so weird cause I’m pretty much the only one wearing swim shorts. I don’t feel comfortable revealing too much. Your idea is so cool I wish she made that!
This actually looks like every bikini I've bought in the last 5 years. Agree with every design choice
Same, I don’t like the bottom
I think the high waist could have worked if it was high cut leg and or cheeky at the back
You mean the end result she showed?
Some people like bottoms that are that high waisted.
@Xavier Plympton’s Tongue I understand that, and I'm one of those people. But for a swimsuit, I believe it's way too high. Usually, highwaisted bottoms come right above or at the bellybutton.
It doesn't look good, to be honest
Agreed 😬
Yeah…Shes trying to go off what majority says, and sadly it seems the majority want to cover up as much as possible due maybe to low self esteem or conservatism. this is like a swimsuit from the 50s.
Disagreed
fr
I agree
Actually you can’t find that type of swimsuit anywhere I look everywhere trying to find swimsuit bottoms that are full coverage
Why would you want full coverage? Do you not want to get some tan? Do you want certain parts of your body to get tan and the rest of your body to remain pale?
@@SilverGreenEyes18 because i don’t feel comfortable wearing bottoms that are not full coverage
@@SilverGreenEyes18No, I don't want to get tan....
I get that this is not the cutest assembly from a design perspective, but it proves that we are in a desperate need for a swimsuit with proper coverage that makes us feel comfortable in the summer. It's hard to find that lately!
This! Why 90% swimsuits are just two triangles?
@@polinka5621REAL like istg have you been in target recently??? The bottoms are TINY and the tops aren’t much better.
agreed, it's like women clothing is still made to please hetero men's eyes
i love my granny panties and i think they look nice
The problem is that the same swimsuit on two different bodies can have totally different coverage. I have wide hips so "full coverage" bottoms work their way up into a thong on me, but the "cheeky" cut ends up staying in place better. And high cut bottoms are considered revealing to some people, but again, stay in place better on my form.
So basically a 50’s style swimsuit, love it!
A 50s style swimsuit would be long sleeves and pants lol
@Ava no it wouldn't. You're thinking 1910s swimwear.
You’re right! I am, sorry about that lol
A very 50's style! Even more so if the straps were a halter style
@Nicole Ayala you are completely correct in thinking it's close to 1950s style swimwear. The only difference is 50s bikinis had mire rouging at the sides on the bottoms and more stylised tops.
The problem with swimsuits is that it’s impossible to be flattering on everyone 😅 this one kept me on my toes, kept picking all the opposite choices 😂
Personally, I wouldn’t bc it’s not the design for me. But, I absolutely love how much work you put into this and how you actually asked people what they wanted ❤️
love how you consider your customer's opinions. One of the best entrepreneurs I've ever come across
As a teenagers this would be the best swimsuit options. A lot of the swimsuits made are too revealing/not comfortable.
Waaait this could be good
this !!!!!
This was my thought on the bottoms also
Even you know we werent thinking that love! Go with your gut and make your own design and let us help you modify it! Still be creative and dont let what others want too much get in your head ❤
Ahhh I'd like to have a "build your own" sort of thing with all the options you've suggested! That'd be so cool
that would! it would probably be so hard to make though with all the colors and options. i could definitely see this working as more of an etsy shop kinda thing!
I love that.
It would be super pricey lol, but maybe worth it
I kinda wanted that puffy sleeve one. 😂😂
I like that your design are always flowy and have cool cuts. This feels very basic? I‘d love a longer top that is waist snatching but still a 2 piece
Ahhh the one with sleeves I love it!!! I really want a feminine two piece but can still cover a good amount so it's reliable in the water
