- In this video I compare the HiPa chainsaw chain to the very popular Oregon chain. Hipa is manufactured in Asia while the Oregon is manufactured in the USA or Canada. For a limited time, HiPa is running a promotion on saw chains Buy One Get One 50% Off.

Nice review Woodruff! Just seen Brad @ Firewood at the Furnace do a review on Hipa as well. My opinion on cheap chains is you get what you pay for in most cases. I’m interested to see your thoughts after some cutting and a few sharpenings. Keep us updated thanks for the review👍🏻👍🏻
I most certainly will keep you posted. I saw Brad's video as well. The true test will be the durability.
Thanks for sharing. Nice review. We will keep offering good quality chain saw chains for the lumberman.
Sounds good!
Thanks for the review.. Definitely keep is updated..😁👍
I sure will!!!
Will be waiting for the extended use and sharpening review.
That will be the true test for sure. I am going to use it this weekend and then resharpen. Then we will know how good the steel is.
Apples to apples I would like to see a raker gauge on each to start with. Chip size does help though. Maybe after a few 3 in 1 sharpenings would tell something too. Just good stuff!
I would say the raker on the HiPa was not as large as the Oregon. I am really anxious to see how it does after a sharpening or 2.
I missed the small engine parts video . I will have to go back and watch it . I am getting ready to do a HIPA video on a small engine . I received the parts today .
They seem to be hitting us all up to promote their stuff. It is a good approach to marketing in my opinion.
@@woodruffwoods Shows they have at least confidence in their own product. Let's hope it does not turn out to be over-confidence since the price difference is at least 2 times smaller than I would have expected.
@@ludosys4903 My jury is still out until I dull it and resharpen the chain. Out of the box it cut just fine but time will tell.
Will be interesting to see how it does after 2-3 sharpening’s and after cutting a number of rounds ! Nice demo 🪵⛓🪚👍👏🫡🇺🇸
I agree. I was impressed at how it performed out of the box. It looks to me like the depth gauge is lower on the hipa than the Oregon. That could be a factor.
@@woodruffwoods hope you will do a follow up in a month or so and state the results…..thanks Darrin ⛓🪚👍👏
@@Living-The-Dream will do for sure.
Seems like a nice looking chain. It would be interesting to see how long they hold an edge compared to the Oregon chains. Time will tell. Thanks for sharing!
I have been running it and so far so good. I am not a big fan of the anti kickback chains but surprisingly, they don't seem to be much slower cutting. I will be anxious to see how it is working after I do a sharpening.
Hey Darrin. Thanks for the video. I’m curious what you’ll think of it after a few sharpenings of each chain
I will be sure to report back to all of you!!!

My anti-tracker software prevented me from reaching the links provided. hmmm
You can find all the Hipa products at www.hipastore.com. Many of them are on Amazon as well.
Wait until you use and resharpen. Have a Safe Day
I am anxious to see if it has durability. Out of the box it was fine but we shall see. I will be sure to update you on how it holds up
