I am not able to connect to my Neo Bike on Android any longer. Seems like it's broken after the update. Zwift on the other hand works flawless. Anybody else with that problem?
That’d be rad, but I don’t reckon they will because a good portion of zwifters would not have an engine that can run it. It’s a fine line between good graphics and speed and frame rate. Can’t have a glitchy simulator
To an extent, yeah, but I think you can optimise a lot more in the real world with positioning of your body and your race tactics than you can in MyWhoosh. I’ve been beaten in crits by a guy on 10 speed 105 and an old steel frame.
Watched the vid yesterday but came back to drop a comment as it was relevant - I signed up for the Basic FTP plan and added it to the calendar, did the FTP test today but the calendar hasn’t updated at all and I’ve had no confirmation of the result of the FTP test. It isn’t a major issue for me as I’m fairly confident at my set FTP level but encountered the bug so thought I would pass that on. MyWhoosh is perfect for me, only really interested in workouts for when the weather prevents going outside (which is quite a bit in the UK! 😭), not really interested in the racing or chat elements.
Mate, I’m sorry to hear that. Hope to see this patched soon. I might even flick MyWhoosh an email to let them know. Dunno if they’ll listen to me but clearly a few people have the issue. I’m sure your FTP was 350w.
I haven't ridden on it since the update to verify if there are any calendar bugs. But I like the offline mode and update to prevent losing rides mid ride. Curious to see how that is working. I'm not sure if Mybunch and the events page was on PC but it wasn't on Android prior. Cool features. It's funny I'm from Los Angeles and I'm planning on going to do the Griffith park climb with a friend in the next week or two for the first time and they added it in game so I get some practice first.
Haha that’s awesome. The MyBunch feature seems okay. I think it’s just adding bots to ride with you. Didn’t seem worth trying out in the week I’ve had it. The autosave has been a big problem for others but I’ve never lost a workout. Sample size is low though because I’ve only been on it for three weeks.
I was riding a longer route (mystic heights in columbia), about 80% complete when I noticed the "offline mode" then it reconnected. However the route tracking disappeared, and total ride elevation reset. Not a big deal but annoying
@@junglist_matty Yeah yesterday I did a workout. I run the app on my phone. Every time I'm using another app for a minute the app just closes. So when I check a text or change a song the app disconnects. No offline mode. It is better than it was because it will ask if I want to upload the workout whereas before I'd lose whatever I did. But still I thought it was going to work like every other training app and still run in the background. I have to go back and select the workout and skip the sections I've done and start from there. Not ideal
A video explaining how the MyWoosh link app works would be very useful. I'm not able to pair it with my sessions and can't figure how to do it. Riding without the phone to choose the turns and all the other stuff can be very uncomfortable...
Could someone explain to me why the graphics Whoosh, Zwift etc is so 2005? I mean I love zwift but the graphics experience could be so much better nowadays
So the issue is the hardware that people have available. Zwift and MyWhoosh are rendering graphics at pretty fast speeds compared to most games, while also having to do it on a range of hardware. Better to have toned down graphics and more users. That’d be my assumption.
So you copy the link to your zwift profile when prompted on the MyWhoosh page. When they ask for evidence, I went to Zwift and downloaded one of the photos of my last rides. It shows your level so they can verify. Does that help?
Looks epic, i want to upgrade to get better graphics! Currently on mw go. Any idea how good it is on apple tv as this seems too be the cheapest option to get better graphics ?
@burgess_and_his_bike ah, maybe I'll carry on mw go for the time being. I've really bought into it. Mw feels like a more complete rgt, the only thing it's missing for me is some mythical alpine climbs
I don't plan on racing in mywhoosh, free ride or training only. So if they put stuff behind a pay wall they still won't see my money! And if I do race then I can live with the result, as I do in zwift, because who knows what is real/true in these virtual races
Yeah encountered the bug when workouts uploaded to strava only though for me but not in the calendar annoying. Oh yea California on hi res is amazing. Yes I can see this going the way of COD DMZ/Fortnite et al pay to win and paying to getting bigger guns with no recoil lol (faster bikes). In the main they should also give you the option to sweat it out for the same bike, just accept it will be leveling up instead of purchasing instantly. I've seen so many people from Zwift complain they just want to ride and workout and not do any races and have tiered options. Well MyWhoosh eliminates all that and gives it people for free right now. So don't know what more they want/waiting for lol.
I agree. MyWhoosh is so good for just riding by yourself and banging out workouts and the two new worlds are gorgeous for that. Heaps excited to explore more.
Nice one! 👍 It does look good. The monetisation strategy is interesting considering there's not likely to be a shortage of cash behind the development of the game. Has to be the cheapest 'PR' the emirati will ever get so why gouge users and risk a bad rap as well?
Today I saw that my xp bar is not moving any more. I don't get any xp for workouts and I didn't get any xp for the group ride today? Has someone similar issues?
I gave it a crack last night, but the FPS is terrible at 20/30 on a decent machine. Switching between Ultra and low settings made no difference at all. I'm not able to connect to direct connect, and there are stuttering moments. Did I get a good workout? Yes, but it just feels sluggish, in my opinion. It needs a lot more work. Are you using the standard or HD version of the app?
Europe soccer championship that’s going on now is sponsored by Qatar 🇶🇦 and nobody cares. China had the Olympic Games and nobody cared. UAE 🇦🇪 is the best cycling team and nobody cares. So I also stopped caring. I’m not dying on a hill alone.
So this has changed too. MyWhoosh is now called MyWhoosh HD and MyWhoosh Go has been rebranded as just MyWhoosh. That will run on slower or more “basic” hardware.
My work laptop has an integrated graphics card, aka, it doesn't have one. It's an i5 from 7 years ago or something. I can run mywhoosh go on full blast, I did my first ride yesterday in Mubarak town. I saw his name literally 1000x. Graphics are gorgeous
I laughed when you said some rich dufus buying skins in a game... Then I realised I own $2000 worth of skins on Steam. However, its a bit different cause you can actually sell them for money...
Yeah look I get it. If there is a crazy concept bike or a superman kit that comes out or something really gimmicky like that and it only costs $10 I’ll probably do it to be honest. I spend enough time on there and it’s free. It’d have to be cool though.
Sorry to hear it mate. Have you tried the more basic version of the app? Used to be MyWhoosh Go and is now just MyWhoosh. Seems there’s a few issues with this
I’m not sold on the idea of importing your level from Zwift. I don’t think you can import your Fortnite level to Modern Warfare? I use 4 different eCycling platforms currently, and I like to keep track of my progress on each of them. You have your total cycling stats/progress on Strava or the like. This import thing is meaningless IMHO.
@@burgess_and_his_bikeyes, but it is not like you lose your progress on Zwift or any other platform, it will be still be there if you return. Why can’t I import my 50K+ real world KMs, I worked hard for them? 😉
Good points. It's unfortunate that MyWhoosh is denigrated because of its funding (while the UAE team itself is quite liked), as if the western tech giants had any better moral standards. Yeah, graphics are amazing in your video, but on my old laptop the settings must be set towards the minimum to have a fluid motion and it truly looks crap. Zwift looks much better on the same hardware. Also the details appearing when they get closer are annoying, low-res placeholders would be so much better. indieVelo has the same problem (less with better render settings), Zwift is again the clear winner here for me. Importing the progress is the most populist move ever. I guess I'll never do it because I like to see my clean progress ramping up, but I see it being appealing for many jumping off the Zwift cash train. I wonder if they will remove the duplicated activities if you import from both Strava and Zwift? Btw it's easy to upload an artificial fit file in Strava, so you could go through that back-door and get virtually unlimited progress/coins in MyWhoosh?!
Agree with you on the first and second points 100%. I don’t care about levels ramping up but at the same time I don’t really care about levels. I in no way advocate that cheating haha.
transfering lvls is stupid. Your level is status in game, not from another game. Why not demand/ask for your real world experience to count as experience then? It's a game. The idea that you want to cheat the game because you want to swap is bonkers. Micro-transactions exist in most games. Some use it to pay for the game and keep it free for most aspects..some like WoW have both. If the game becomes subscription as well as buying better gear then its dumb too. Pick one or the other. If you want people to buy and subscribe, purchased items should only be aesthetic and have no real world advantage
Mate your name is definitely fitting 😂 Agree on your second point but disagree on the first. I think the levels are arbitrary anyway. It literally does not matter what level you are. I think it’s a genius move to attract Zwifters that are holding on. They should include a special bike like the Tron bike if you transfer a profile over that has that unlocked. Then I think you’d get a heap of them.
Btw. you CAN import your real world experience into myWhoosh as one of the options is to use the data from Strava which is likely going to contain your virtual and real-world mileage.
I will say the level system is completely wild. I am level 16 with 800km and a friend has 27,000 km at level 11. Another is level 15 with 400 km. As far as I can tell there is nothing about the level progression except MyWhoosh saying, "the more time you spend in game, the higher your level."
I think it has to do with what you complete. If you do workouts or races I think that helps more than just free rides. They also seem to have an achievements system that nets you points but I dunno.
I am not able to connect to my Neo Bike on Android any longer. Seems like it's broken after the update. Zwift on the other hand works flawless. Anybody else with that problem?

I liked the coached videos. Very good for short zone 4-5 rides.
Yeah it’s a pretty cool feature
Thanks for the update ! Those man made trees are actually iIRL at Singapore (Gardens by the Bay)
Really? Thats crazy. Gotta see more of this world.
I was going to mention the Gardens in Singapore. They are impressive.
Given that the game is free, I don’t see the issue with any of the power gel stuff.
In fact, I might even get a myself a silly little skin
I’m with you on this providing it isn’t pay-to-win. I would be suckered into buying a sweet skin if they release superhero kits or something.
@@burgess_and_his_bike , but isn't it pay to win in the real world, if you want to get the results you have to pay out for the lighter bikes etc
