If Izzy has truly been getting better in the practice room, he should within the first five minutes put Pierra on his back if possible. But make Pierra think about the takedown, then be crafty like Izzy usually is. Ok if the fight ends in the first 2 rounds Pierra wins. Anything past 10 minutes Izzy wins. Currently Izzy is the better MMA striker because we have seen it enough and how good he got and how quickly. That doesn’t mean his dance partner this time doesn’t have the ability to go strike for strike with him, but I do think Izzy will be in more trouble a year from now, so smart on him for getting this fight now while Pereira is still learning it. In the end, it’s MMA and it’s UFC. Which means anything can happen. They are both badasses with the ability to change their own destiny as well as their opponents. Quickly.

Their both tremendous at most strategic facets of striking. I think po atan is best as a hunter. He can take shots, trade, and either try to walk someone into a trap, or keep tracking, and firing when its there, till he gets the prey. Fashion curve can trap well to, tho i think there are distractions in how they each seek to do so, and while i consider Pereira is a pretty damn good counter striker, especially with the sinister fist, that is an area where i give Adesanya a top tier rating. He's even more consistent than Silva, albeit with fewer highlight reel, "the blow he needed, when no one thought it was still there" wins. when it comes to putting yourself in ralph wiggums levels of danger, just by trying to hit another human, you really can't do much better then trying to swing at adesanya.

Alex is a better Kickboxer but Izzy is a better MMA striker... The four oz gloves make all the difference (I've fought bare knuckle, in small gloves, & 10oz. In the big gloves you can use longer combos & throw harder shots since you don't have to worry about defense as much since you can just shell up). Alex won't be able to just shell up & walk forward & corner Izzy. As he walks forward, he'll get countered since a Dutch style guard doesn't work in MMA (there's too much space for counters to slip through). Also Izzy isn't as reckless now & he's spent the last 24 MMA fights relying on movement, range & angles rather than shelling up to defend himself. Alex will get countered hard in the first & then he'll either rush in & get TKOd or he'll fight a boring fight & Izzy will win by Unanimous Decision. In kickboxing Alex might beat Izzy again, but in MMA right now, he loses 7/10 times due to his style that was created from fighting in big gloves. It doesn't matter who hits harder if Alex can't touch Izzy.

izzy is an amazing and confident fighter, and i think he’s always known he would get the win…. this is the first time i truly feel, he doesn’t know the outcome of this, he knows there’s a 50 /50 chance he may be a highlight reel… and i don’t feel he’ll
be able to pull this one off. this is the absolute MOST important fight of his career. his entire career and legacy up to this point, will be judged on the outcome of this one fight… period.

even his friend camps are saying thats a 50-50, Alex has Izzy fandom praying for a takedown, just a different gravy, the best brazilian pure striker in history, by a long shot. The guy has historys killing everyone on everygim across brazil, he even trained at chute boxe some time, every brazilian fighter looks up to him at a " red belt" striking master... hes really that guy.

  • @marksraab900

Several boxers, most notably Vasily Lomachenko has been using that machine for 8-9yrs now. Used for maintaining Eye-Hand reflex via CNS. As you age, speed and reflexes decline. Its widely believed that practicing with such reflex machines does assist (like doing any applicable training method) in maintaining reflexes and cerebral electrical messaging, which directly affects movement/countering etc. Sounds crazy but its not new and seems to be spilling into MMA as well. As this sport evolves i would expect to see evolution in training methods. No matter how cool it seems saying anything outside whats done "normally" is a waste of time. IF that were true than ALL forms of training are a waste

Enquanto Alex Pereira vai entrar no tatame leve.

Adesanya is fighting not to lose. For the first time, he feels pressured to fight to win. Precisely in the fight where you have the best striking guy, champion in two kickboxing divisions and who beat you twice. When Adesanya entered the fight he said I'm 100% better than this guy at striking, boxing, kickboxing. Now he won't be able to think about it anymore.

If Adesanya had him nearly KO'd multiple times with the big gloves my assessment would be that he'd have been slept long before he got Israel with the left hand....🤔
