Worldwide Persecution of Christians Worst Ever, Now Rising in Sub-Saharan Africa

- Open Doors released its 2023 World Watch list this week, and North Korea has returned to the top spot as the world's worst persecutor of Christians. Worldwide, Christians are now facing more persecution or discrimination than ever.
Although fewer Christians died for their faith in Christ last year, Christian persecution is increasing to the highest level ever reported.
According to Open Doors, a ministry to the persecuted church, one in seven Christians worldwide now experience high levels of persecution or discrimination.
"Part of the reason it is getting worse is because it is getting worse in more places. Particularly this year, we see the spread of Christian persecution in sub-Saharan Africa," explained Linda Pearce, Open Doors U.S. interim CEO.

Persecution that will not happen today but also in the time early christian during the time of apostols after Christ death. They are persecuted because of Jesus Christ. and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Christians was arrested, flagging, tortured and killed because of their faith of Jesus Christ, they offered their life. Jesus said if you want to be my deciple taje up the cross and follow me. Because Heid the king of Judea under Roman Rule forbidden to preach the gospel. And Apostol Peter arrested an put to prison. While on the other hand Mary, John Mark, James and other deciples at home pray and fasting for Peter imprisonment. And the Lord God answer their prayer. God sent his angel and wake up on him while on sleeping and rescued him to escape from imprisonment while the guards still sleeping. When Peter arrive home and knock the door. Rhoda open the door and she is astonished that Peter alive and she called Mary and the deciples to thank Jesus and praise him exceeding joy. In times of persecution everyone should pray and fast night and day for God escape them AD save their live. And God will do miracle for them. We must pray and fast Christians around the world who suffered great persecution.

It seems to me that Christians are apathetic to sufferings of other religions.

It is not sad because the reward that awaits those who face persecution is massive! Just as Jesus and his disciples were persecuted. Just as the apostle paul rejoiced in his suffering we must be willing to do the same! The prophecies are fulfilled:
Romans 5:3-5 "We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.
And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation."
Matthew 10:22 "And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved."
