- the PlayStation 2 Slim was released 20 years ago. my PS2 Slim was owned and played since it's debut in 2004 even before i ended up with it. this unit, however, after 20 years of play is finally being laid to rest. i'v had great memories playing games on this device (mainly Bionicle: The Game), but the overheating can not be overlooked and as a result we can't trust this console anymore for fear of it causing a fire. i will be getting another PS2 at some point (hopefully Christmas), so yeah. i'v enjoyed playing this console for as long as i did, but now it's time for the PS2 Slim to rest in peace. what are your fondest memories of the PS2/PS2 Slim (if you had one)? i hope y'all enjoy this video and thanks for watching! ^_^
I remember feeling like I lost a family member when my ps2 died years ago. It shaped my childhood and adolescence with so many happy memories during dark and depressing times.
20 years is a good run, dude. My original Nintendo didn’t last that long.
Rest in peace PS2 slim I got one and thankfully mine hasn't acting up yet also that big cord that you showed off goes to a Xbox 360
😢😢

Thoughts and prayers
How hot? Mine feels warm, kinda like “operating temperature” and I’ll leave it on for day or 2 sometimes. Maybe I shouldn’t do that anymore
20 years

@@torment4723 it was intentional
@@ThatDudeCalledMax Well good job on acting stupid cause i don't see any pun in there.
@@torment4723 why did you think it was a joke?
@@ThatDudeCalledMax So it was just you pretending you can't write?
That's why it's better to get the fat original because it has fan build into it when the ps2 slim does not the only thing that ps2 slim does is that it loads and play the game faster...!!!
If you have the know how you can always open it up and repaste it/clean out the dust maybe causing some overheating
rip
You can replace the thermal pad in there for way cheaper than buying one
thats fucked up
