🌟 Explore the elegant and intimate Bel-Air home 🏡 of the 40th President of the United States, Ronald Reagan, and his First Lady, Nancy Reagan. Nestled in the affluent neighborhood of Bel Air, California, their ranch-style house is a testament to their love and impeccable taste.
Join us as we take a virtual tour of this mid-century modern gem, where the Reagans resided from 1989 after leaving the White House. The property, generously purchased by their friends, offers nearly 7,200 square feet of living space on a lush 1.29-acre plot. With stunning views of downtown Los Angeles and Century City, the home features three bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a sparkling swimming pool.
Discover how Nancy Reagan’s superstition changed the house's address from 666 to 668 St. Cloud Road. Admire the exquisite interior designed by Ted Graber, who previously worked on the White House family quarters. Graber’s 'soft modern' style and Peter Schifando's expertise created a harmonious blend of traditional and modern elements. From chinoiserie to fine antiques, every piece in the house was thoughtfully curated to reflect Nancy Reagan's refined taste.
See the unique collection of 27 elephant models, symbolizing loyalty and wisdom, and learn about the couple's favorite gathering spots, like the inviting living room with its quilted chintz sofas and personalized needlepoint pillows. Delve into the library, their personal haven, filled with leather-bound volumes and cherished memorabilia from their Hollywood careers.
The Reagans' home was a retreat and a venue for entertaining notable political figures, including German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, and British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. Nancy Reagan's signature hospitality shone through with her elegant table settings and famous pomegranate iced tea.
Sadly, Ronald Reagan battled Alzheimer’s disease for over a decade, and both he and Nancy passed away in their beloved Bel Air home. In 2016, the property was acquired and eventually demolished. Despite this, the legacy of the Reagans' residence lives on, reflecting a conservative yet deeply personal lifestyle. Join us as we uncover the beauty and history of Ronald and Nancy Reagan’s Bel-Air sanctuary.

@@fashionmomentswithellen"Are?" From what I understand, both, the people & the home, have been, thankfully, and properly, discarded & disposed of. I might add, though, at least, in the 80's, these and other republicans were required to mask their dark spirited ways, unlike today, where they flaunt their evil idolatry & mongrelism, as if it were a virtue! My dear, Helen, one should not fall for the temptation to admire glitz & glamor, when it is being used for the sake of darkness in government.

Was it replaced with a McMansion? Seems like it's a trend right now to demolish iconic homes. Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger recently demolished the Zimmerman House. Some of these people have too much money for their own good. Meanwhile, people struggle to find affordable housing.

He was a fine man, a great president, and part of a lifelong love match with Nancy.

My husband and I had the opportunity of attending a fund raiser event for Governor Reagan, and Mrs. Reagan. As every day Christian conservative patriots, it was an honor to meet them. They treated us with respect and interest in the fact we were from President Nixon's home town and knew his family. Moreso, this country is all the better for the God given knowledge and wisdom of President Reagan during his tenure.

    •  3 месяца назад +1

"As everyday Christian conservative patriots," you say that as if it were a GOOD thing, Nancy. My Lord of Light, Truth & Wisdom is anything BUT a "conservative." My Lord does not endorse lies, hatred & deceit! Perhaps you are foolishly, unaware that you're worshiping the Dark Lord of the Underworld. My Lord made his Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, riding humbly, on a donkey. He most certainly, did not ride in, as a king on an elephant! What is more, if he were voting today, he would wisely choose 😇Heavenly Blue over 👹Devil Red, naturally, I'm sure. By the way, Ronald Reagan was a criminal. Have you not heard of the Iran Contra Affair?

Maybe you could ask Uncle Ronnie how Nancy liked his sex slaves in the white house. Or who really ran the show in the white house after being the former director of the CIA. His own hand picked or I mean hand picked for him vice president. They bought the house with the 666 address for him to remind him of who he worked for his entire 8 years. Or I should say so he wouldn't forget who put him there and kept him there. All of this is right under your nose but you still choose to believe in the fairy
tales put before you by the new world order boys who have been running this country since JFK threatened to banish them. They got rid of him.

I voted for him, thinking he would get our hostages out of Iran. Only later I learned his team worked to keep the hostages IN captivity until after the election. The word "traitor" is used very casually these days, often used to mean "not a nice person." But yes, Reagan was one.
