Could you do a showcase on Angelica Kauffman's works with Ariadne? I adore her paintings!!!

Yes, I've been thinking about covering Kauffman for ages. Is there any reading material or documentaries you'd recommend?

CORRECTION: one thing to note is that "Feast of the Gods" which I reference at the end is painted by Bellini and Titian

This was the most amazing thing I've watched on RUclips this year. I absolutely loved your explanation and detailed breakdown of this painting! I think I have a crush on you! But I digress...Ariadne has been my favorite person in Greek mythology since I was a child. I'm an smitten by her many myths and endings. While the God of Wine can be considered a Twice Born God, then Ariadne can be considered a Twice Immortal Goddess.
If you break her life down, she was the Grandaughter of the Titan Helios via her immortal mother Pasiphaë, a witch goddess herself and Grandaughter of the Sky God Zeus via her human father King Minos.
Most of Greek gods and demi gods or half gods seem to gain their immortality, from the mother's line. How many of Zesus'male children were born mortal compared to his female line? How many children born from Helios had mortal offspring's? If you compare the Titan and Sky Gods, their daughters and then grandchildren, you'll see the it's no doubt that Ariadne was clearly already immortal through her mother. It has been said that all the daughters of Helios had bright yellow irises , rays of sunlight shines through them. Ariadne herself should , in theory have her mother's genes in that regard and have bright yellow irises, after all Ariadne means Most Holy after all. Or Holy Maiden.
So she was already a goddess from birth and probably didn't immediately know it.
Then she falls for a mortal man who was a semi direct son of (supposively) Poseidon, Theseus ,who abandoned Ariadne, then falls for the Wine God, son of Zeus.
When Ariadne, commits suicide out of grief by hanging herself, she is resurrected by Zesus later and once again made immortal. But before that we learn she traveled with the Wine God into wars and was killed by Aretmis. Or in other myths turned into a stone statue by Perseus via Medusa's head.
In conclusion, she's immortal once by birth, second through Zesus.

P.S Look for my urban dark novel depicting the immortal life of Ariadne in a way that has never been told before once I publish it sometime next year ( going through the editing phase now.)
