      I disagree, Although we have non agressive policy, we also have assets all over the world that we need to protect(military bases, ports, economic zones in foreign land, etc). hopefully, these assets will be growing in numbers in coming 20 years. We need to secure them and for that a capability intervene in 30 min at any position the world is necessary.

      @@SonuKumar-xs3ge While It is true about economic power defining the Non Agression part...India already sits right on top of the global supply chain geographically....If we retain control over the Indian Ocean we have the control over entire supply chain of resources of the world....and 5 Aircraft Carriers, Andaman, Nicobar, Lakshadweep and The Islands we have on lease or have logistics access to like Assumption Islands, Maldives, Seychelles and the port's like Duqm, Chabahar, Changi, Egypt, Israel, and in the near future Gwadar....would be more than enough to do that....That alone has the power to bring the world to its knees without shooting a bullet....And Pacific, Artic and Atlantic are inaccessible to India....US has this very god gifted position to have direct (land) access to 5 of the 4 oceans of the world (North and South Atlantic on the East Coast, Pacific on the West Coast, Artic on the West of Alaska) that with their money and Dominance policy gives rise to such a dominant navy....so we must focus on that one ocean where US does not have a major presence(It does but there are other navies here like Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian and Indian Ofcourse ...)

    Indian Navy can have 4 aircraft carriers . INS Vikrant and its sister carrier and 2 LHDs can act as Aircraft carriers with LCA Navy as main carrier fighter similiar to approach followed by America class carriers of US Navy which are big LHDs.

    2 repeat order of INS Vikrant makes sense for Indian navy. This will help us to replace Vikramaditya asap. 5 years per Vikrant means 10 years. Average lifespan of aircraft carrier is 30 years. This means Indian navy will have a period of around 18-20 years for INS Vishal.

      @B&B no brother obviously not. I have 3 suggestions
      1. Atleast 2 fixed wing aircraft can act as Tankers by carrying as many External fuel tanks as possible and do buddy buddy refueling
      2. Have a drone like MQ-5
      3. Have tanker Version on V22 osprey.
      If u think properly. We have a lot of options

    • @alphatrnmemes9462
      @alphatrnmemes9462 Год назад

      @@Stephen7344 in all options the buddy refueling is viable and practical option!
      But i do hv few points to suggest like as far as i can get from past/recent articles published:
      as navy is recalculating its assets and they r trying to go beyond IOR!
      With 2 AC in operation in near future navy as already started thinkin abt carrier deployment beyond IOR!
      As we know Vikrant is going to b operationalize by end of this year but the actual deployment will b only possible after 2025-26!
      Before this it will sail in IOR and do exercises with different navy's and they will develop their tactics for operations!
      Whereas its CBG components r still either maintenance/refit or under production.
      Delhi class is under refit
      Nilgiris r under production
      By 2025-26 all will join the navy and will form CBG for vikrant and hoping till then few of Rafale will arrive!
      Now deploy Vikrant in SCS we need strong CBG and lethal airwing!
      Now the real problem of aircraft takeoff weight matters.
      In SCS we can't airborne with less wepons but also we can't airbornes for just few hour coz of less fuels:
      So the best option is dedicate Few aircrafts on carrier for buddy refueling but this will hamper actual capability of airwing and its like underuse of capability!
      So my point is just try to acquire permission to few countries in SCS for accessing their Base for deployment of our tankers on these bases!
      If Malaysia/Philippines allow us to use their bases for our tanker so they can increase of airborne time exponentially!
      Having tanker in airspace for refueling is best way and this is possible if we have either bases their or permission of few countries to use their base.

    • @Stephen7344
      @Stephen7344 Год назад

      @Ãlphãťřøñ Mëmëš having tankers in the Airspace near SCS is one of the worst decisions we can take rn. They have a huge RCS and can be shot down with AWACS killers. Plus we already deployed Ins Vikramaditya with INS Delhi And 3 other Arliegh Burke class destroyers of USN in SCS once somewhere in 2020 or 2021. That also was a one time thing. No country will risk sending an entire CSG/CBG near china.. cause the Chinese are stupid and need the smallest reason to start a war and they can start by sinking yr CSG if they get too close. US lost 2 Carrier strike groups minimum in every simulated conflict with China. Our navy will be purely a Defensive Navy.. will not conduct missions in SCS. Only nuclear powered vessels can venture that far from home land. None of our Aircraft carrirs will go that far during a conflict.
      Anyway. The point is.. Buddy buddy refueling is best rn and is also being used. Other way we have V22 osprey cheaper than MRTT
