@@Buddy76cd yes I'm sure , Atari 8 bit is full of surprises, prince of persia for example. I had atari 8 bits since the 80s and I've said before that I'm so glad I kept them! So much fun.
I think it is a good thing to see real stuff done for the Atari. The combos really should be splitted to "original" and "expanded" Hardware. There is no thing like "Atari Pokey Stereo" . Also , very nice to listen to this somehow new Pokey style.
Thank you for liking this "new" pokey style!!! This "new" style has yet to establish itself on the Atari 8-bit... 🙂 Not everyone likes this style or doesn't believe that the Pokey can do something like that... I welcome your suggestion to set up categories - "original" and "extended"... 👍 But that's out of our hands... I've suggested it before and we'll wait and see what time brings... But just tricking with 4 channels is really fun!!! Let's see what the future brings... 🎶
That's not quite right!!! This tune already uses all four audio channels!!! You just have to listen very carefully... :) You hear the full power of the POKEY!!! ;)
@@przemekkobel4874 The Atari always had one POKEY inside. The Quad Pokey is a special piece of hardware particular for Arcade machines. If you follow your own logics, you could put a vector chip into the Atari, because they used it in Arcade machines. Atari offered to put a sound device into a cartridge. So a second POKEY could be placed in there. But then it is no POKEY anymore. There is nothing like a stereo POKEY. If they only put "dual Pokey" and "stock" in separated combos, thing would be more realistic.
Very nice! That pokey chip holds its own 40 plus years on.
Thanks so much!!!
Some chips still have to mature before their full potential is discovered... :)

We can only be surprised what else the programmers are developing... :)

Thanx a lot!!!
for me it's a winner, love the bass
Thank you so much!!!

You are right. Atari never made a double-POKEY chip. BUT they made a quad-POKEY. This tune uses only half of Atari's original hardware capabilities.

@@Buddy76cd Sorry - I was thinking too much about 'combo POKEY' thing. In this case I should put 'only quarter' instead of 'only half'.
