Ahh the A330. I've never been on them neither been to Bali, even if I live in Indonesia. I'm actually quite suprised that there were two floors in the lounge. Thanks for the great tripreport, Felix.

If you're lucky you might get the new Garuda diamond seat configuration business class for Jakarta-Denpasar route. Unfortunately, it is mostly used for international flights though.

Simply Aviation because it is mostly used for medium-haul routes like CGK-SYD or CGK-HKG, they use the a330 on short-hauls exclusively on DPS-CGK since the demand is high

It's the old IFE. The new one are much better. 😆
NB: Newer GA A330-300 has 1-2-1 config (diamond seating they said)

Yes few airlines have 1-2-1 config for business class since that was actually first class config. Traditional business class config is 2-2-2. Singapore airlines and Cathay Pacific also have the 1-2-1 biz class for long routes
This business class is like Air Asia Xtra 's lo-cost premium flatbed .
The old ife looks ok, is responsive, many entertainment. Unlike Malaysia Airlines, ife has slow response. Even the new ones

@@ES.7122 Cant its airline property, some airline make the headphones conectible only to their device which some unique port. So its useless. Btw the ticket you pay is already include fee for blanket, pillow, headphones, or other amenity kits
In my opinion, this airline can be deserve 3 or 4 stars.

Big plans for such a short route especially with there being about 6 other carriers flying that route. Still Garuda Indonesia is one of my favourite airlines and Bali is one of my favourite places. I am so jealous!!!!!!!!!!!

I could feel your surprise for GA. As I'm surprise as well from what I get for routes between LHR-AMS (Similar FT) on either BA or KL. Or even AMS-ARN on SK flight. Thank you for your review about GA. Cheers from Bali
Comparing to your related Economy flight, the one main difference seemed to be the reclining seat and legroom. Otherwise, the two classes were much the same - and both good!

You should try Garuda's new Super Diamond Business class seats in the future, the new seats are featured only on the newer A330-300s

Note : 6:51 is one of the "nostalgic" Part of the flight since Garuda has never changed the Safety Demonstration video since early 2012! And always. Great video man!

From 2007 to 2012 I worked for an American oil company and was as much as possible banned from flying Garuda because of their safety record. Which was a bit awkward because I had to fly to Indonesia quite frequently from Perth WA. But how things have changed for the better. BTW with the complicity of my secretary, I used to seek onto Garuda anyway coming back home.
