Once you have a specific time in God's presence (at your prayer altar) then practise by faith, first speaking to God as though you see Him there ( you already know He is there) You might not hear His voice immediately but He definitely will speak to you ....dreams, visions, trance, inner witness, etc Firstly be sure to have confessed and affirmed to genuinely repent of your sinful ways.
