He was underrated for many years, even decades. But not any more. He’s considered one of the most talented bassist on the planet. I don’t think we need to worry that JT is not receiving the recognition that he deserves. Just ask anyone that knows anything about the industry who’s the best and they will point you to John Taylor.
I'm a total metalhead, been all my life. But Duran Duran has always stayed with me no matter what... Tons of great songs and it takes me back to the 80's. There's just something that always talked to me with this great band. Still sounds absolutely fantastic, wow. The setlist is everything you could ever want. Well done boys!!!

You obviously didn't listen closely. From at least "A View to a Kill" forward he was straining in his upper register. Sounded hoarse as hell. Did fine in his lower. I am just glad it is him singing and not a track.

Taylor in my opinion is one of the all time best bassists to come out of the UK. Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, arguably the 'tier one' bands as part of the 'New Romantic' UK music genre still bring it. Sadly Span have had a terrible history of disputes over song writing royalties and endless litigation, however when they 'have' reunited Spandau Ballet still fill arenas globally. Duran Duran, having a 'forced' change on guitars due to their original/founding members health problems also are still as relevant today as they were in the 80's. MANY 'New Romantic' bands + artists went on to leave an indelible mark on not only their home domestic UK market, but globally. Simon's voice still holds up extremely well, and the band's still tight. Thanks for this.
Let me tell you something interesting. In Brazil, Duran Duran is huge, several hits, a legion of fans, as for Spandau Ballet, just "True", which was an average hit. Not big, that a few people remember, but almost no one knows the name of the band.
I can’t believe how Simon’s voice cuts right through everything and you hear him so clearly so strongly what an incredible voice so much control and power and beautiful tone
People all on their phones not enjoying the real experience. It’s so sad 😞This is seriously the lamest crowd I have ever seen. No one dancing, clapping and singing. Unbelievable because Duran Duran is amazing live. I am 53 and would have been going crazy on every song and not on my phone.
With all due respect to Duran Duran great band, all of the non lame people were at the other stage watching tones on tail's first concert in 40 years 😉
ruclips.net/video/DsYQkBgGgys/видео.htmlsi=paxRpXzk_PcYmWDN I totally agree. But look here. People are without phones, jumping, singing and dancing like in our times. They are the old fans. Look at Simon and John, Roger how happy they are with this participation and involvement. Even Nick smiled, incredible 😉🤣 I was so moved to see this and tomorrow I will be there for the second concert that they had to add given the sold out of the first date and the request. I have to say this time, proud to be Italian for the warmth and passion that we have❤

I'm really happy to see a band still as good and credible as Duran Duran. When I was 11/12 years old I was already too fanatical for David Bowie and Heavy and Punk music that I almost despised this band. Later in the years I understood that I was very wrong about their real value and that I underestimated them perhaps because of their enormous commercial success and, more than anything, because of the loud and irritating emphasis of the many Duranians in love...! Today I would be happy to see them live but I have to settle for this video show which opens with the splendid "The Chauffeur", one of the best songs ever, which retains an immortal charisma along with many of their other historical pop-rock masterpieces. Long life and satisfaction to Duran Duran!
They were so amazing. What a great show! That opening video definitely looks like it was intended for Planet Earth, BUT I was so happy the opened with The Chauffeur.
