I have to tell you. I grew up in Tampa eating Cuban bread and sandwiches (before they were paninis). Now I live up in Jax...and I truly miss this unique flavor.
I recently moved to Sims, NC from Miami, Fl. I lived there for 53 years. I would like to say that opening a Cuban authentic bakery like yours here in Cary, Clayton, Raleigh or Wilson in NC. Would be huge. There are “NONE” Cuban authentic bakery in these Cities. Please please open one in either of these places. All of us Cuban/ Latinos/ some Americans would love to have a bakery like yours in our home towns. Thanks you.
Hi very delayed answer lol but I was visiting last week and bought a few loaves and the palmetto leaf was there! I read an article that they have a guy that travels around throughout FL collecting the leaves but he was retiring. But at the time of your comment, perhaps it was a Covid thing? I’ll link the article if I can find it. Bread is still DELICIOUS!

I hadn’t seen real Cuban bread made with the palm leaf like that since I was a kid in Miami.❤
Cuban bread is the best bread I have ever had!
I lived in Tampa for 20 years, now I'm way too far away to get this wonderful stuff. GRR.
They have stopped using the palm leaf. Anyone know why? Price? Both Faedo & LaSegunda have stopped.
They have? Does it take the quality out? Does it no longer taste the same?
It's still the best bread/roll you can get in this area@@highlymedicated2438. I'm from the Philly area & miss the hearth baked Italian rolls.
