  • The University of California San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Center is regularly ranked among the best hospitals in California and the nation, and a variety of Operating Engineers are working hard to make it even better!
Members with McGuire and Hester and Malcolm Drilling are among those currently working at the site of UCSF's flagship Helen Diller Medical Center at Parnassus Heights campus and performing the work necessary to construct the New Hospital at Parnassus Heights (NHPH). This is all part of UCSF's Comprehensive Parnassus Heights Plan (CPHP), which is providing 10-years of good work for Operating Engineers, while making it possible for the medical center to serve more patients, and do so in the best possible facilities. Upon completion, this project will add an additional 336 beds (for a total of 682), provide 71 Emergency Department bays and create space for 7 more ambulances to serve the surrounding communities.
