I really like Vanilla Ice but this time line doesn’t seem to add up. Unless he had a house on Star Island and hung out with Escabor before he was famous, Ice somwghjng is off here.
Ice became famous the end of 1990. Escabor went to prison in 1991 to 1992. Then he was on the run in Columbia from 1992-12/2/93, which is when he died.
Anything is possible and Im not hating but someone else please look into this and prove me wrong-I want to be wrong.

Escobar loved to race dirtbikes and just anything really so this story is really believable. A lot of people don't understand how popular Vanilla Ice was.
A lot of Western pop stars in some cases are even bigger overseas, they don’t have the high school clique filter of what’s cool or hot currently that we do, before the cell phone age they’d be months or even years behind America in what’s hip or trending.
Vanilla and other celebrities names have been mentioned alongside Escobar for years.
When I went to Mexico, I got an idea of how big he was.
It’s also believable that “The Ice Man” here read Escobar liked dirt bikes, like the rest of us 😂 Why didnt he answer what year it was? That could’ve cleared up the believability.
Ice Ice Baby came out August 1990, but Escobar was in his prison (castle) from spring of 1991 to July 1992, then was hiding & on-the-run until his death in 1993.
So was he landing helicopters at Mr. Ice’s house _right before_ his arrest? Was he leaving his huge prison just to go hang out with Vanilla? 😂 Was he on-the-run & hiding and figured he had time to spare to do some boat racing with “The Ice Man”?

Bro, I went a a boat tour around star island. Saw ices house. If I remember correctly he had a little monkey running around his back yard but the coolest shit was when he showed up on his jet skie and went around the side of the boat saying hi to everyone.

The Odessa Project documentary was amazingly entertaining. Worth the watch. It's so hilarious how Vanilla Ice just randomly happens to be the reason for a Russian mob guy and cartel intermediaries to meet and they eventually come up with a plot to buy a full size Russian nuclear submarine with optional purchase of actual nuclear warheads when Russia was in shambles after the cold war
