    Cat recommends that an engine with more then 15,000 hours on it to cut the counter bores.

    Do you have to pull the front structure with that tool if you are cutting number 1? It looks like a huge base.

      Nope! The handle in this tool slides in and out so as you go around. Your able to just move the handle away from the structure. Works out great. 👍🏼 it would probably be easier with the structure off. But not easy enough to make it worth pulling the structure. Thanks for watching!

      @@yourdieselspecialists I've used the smaller base and it has the same handle, but I like the sturdiness of this tool and was just wondering if the base cleared, but sure sounds like it does. Thank you for the quick reply.

    They need a tool like that to fire ring a block or o ring a head
