Yea, kinda wish Meg was endgame and much more difficult to take down, but had amazing loot to go with it.
They were like that in the beginning but later got nerfed.
From what I've heard they used to be strong and hard to beat, but then Rare decided to add them in as a random spawning entity so they got nerfed significantly

Meaning you spend too much time doing the exact same tactic. It's why boss fights have phases, cause you'd get bored doing the same thing again and again.
This could have been the greatest games of all times,all they needed was swords fights,gun fights the ability to own ur own territory and invade others territory swim roam freely around the map,choose ur own pirate team I don’t think I’m asking for too much look at Skyrim at that came out almost 15 years ago .
You can actually own your own ‘territory’ once your get a smuggler by getting a kingpin. Then you can take over ports, earn ‘smuggler’ coins and buy OP guns or nice cosmetics with it!

Glad to see this game has more interesting events than the ship PVP. I was concerned with what I had seen so far but this looks fun.
Honestly I am slightly concerned about the PVP unless it's changed recently you can buy equipment like cannons and special ammunition with real-world money or at least that's what the developer said in a few articles I've read I don't know if this is changed I'll look into it after this comment but if that is the case it's going to be hell for players that just bought the game to have fun
@mr.exodus3844 yes you can customize every single weapon on your ship, even have different left from right cannons 😊
This game has great ideas but its too much arcady, too fast pace like call of duty
Honestly it was the hardest quest yet
Took me 2 hours of tries in 1v1 to defeat it
Some people told me about the ghost ship, I haven't done it yet

Probly just set sail length for speed, then turn turn like any other vehicle in a game. You control the ship, not a character on the ship.
Plus it's trying to be as mainstream as it can, cause it's ubisoft.
A lot of gameplay makes it look like a casual arcade game. Doesn't seem to have localised damage and things like taking down sails or other strategies. Just spam attack. Reminds me of Bloodwake about 20 years ago.

I think just ship battle (except if you are in the town)
You can only disembark at hubs I believe. And you can't explore on random islands or freely move around your ship which is a weird design choice.

IMO it looks cool as a small part of a bigger game, but doesn't tick the necessary boxes to be a standalone.
The Beta version only allows a player to get to a certain level. The full game allows you for bigger ships, but also to own your own Pirating business/Homestead & the action moves closer to India (an entire new map) so clearly, there are more features not seen in this 1st part of the game where you're only a contractor for another Pirate.

I see a lot of people complaining, but given that Ubisoft added DLCs content for pretty much all of their games, I think this 1st version release will get more content over time too. I'm not getting the Premium version, but eh, I'm getting the regular one for sure. I love ship battles so much that I've played both AC Black Flag/AC Rogue a few times each. I thought AC Mirage was a disappointment (for me at least), but still enjoyed the lush, visual Art of Baghdad. Skull and Bones looks great in 4K.

This is more like a mobile game. Good at first five hours but becomes repetitive and tedious on the next 6 to 10 hours.
Rapid fire sht and the arcadey mechanics is soon bad. Why can't they make it like black flag. They have the fucking blue print! And they missed it!

Seems like this game doesn't know what it wants to be. I don't see any passion or identity at all. Mechanics are weird with instarepairs and cannons that heal, instasink mechanics, modern weapons in a game that's meant to take place hundreds of years ago. The audio is all over the place and extremely overwhelming. I wanted to be excited for this game but it looks like an absolute travesty of a dumpsterfire. It doesn't even look pretty. This idea would probably be fun in a PvP mobile game.
Possibly been twisted over the many years it's been in development. Repairs should be over time, pulling the crew off rigging or cannons so you need to think strategically about when to repair. But I suppose they want to bring in all the casual guys.

Don't know about shilling but I've seen a few SoT streamers playing this. Online pirate games are such a niche that developers know targeting SoT streamers will bring in people who may be quite interested in this. I'm somewhat interested but doesn't look like it'll have the longevity of SoT with it looking more casual.
