- Prasar Bharati Central Archives presents 'Neev' a 13 episode series from the archives of Doordarshan based on life of students in a boarding school.
The television show portrays life of students in a higher secondary boarding school (up to class XII). Head boy of the school is Rakesh Kapoor (played by Karan Apoorva). His friends are Chatterjee, a geek, and Sabby and they have a rival group with schoolmate Francis.
Lives of students, their pranks, academics, inter-house rivalry, sports, how they adjust to life in a boarding school, separation from family and other topics are covered through the show.

90s really it is golden days no smart phone we were living our life in peace. Whenever I see 90s programme in you tube I get emotional and it takes me back to my childhood where during holidays each and every will gather in colony at 8 am we will start playing cricket till our mother didn't come to call us for lunch in the evening during power cut we used to play Antakshari programme of doordarshan like malgudi days, surbhi, shaaktimaan, shanti, raja rancho,Rangoli etc were house hold name when ever doordarshan will boardcast india cricket match it will be a bonus for us.
Really we have seen transformation in childhood every friend will gather in fixed spot if some one was not there we used to wait for him to start our game that was our friends.
Now whatsapp and Facebook friends they really suck.
I want to go back to 90s.

I was searching for this show since long time. Thanks for this upload. It brought back memories of the simplicity of early 90s and how close we were as community. Without social media, we were more bonded and social. Every school kid in that era could relate to all the aspects shown like inter house rivalry, preparing for debates and sports, exam blues. All these gem late 80s and 90s shows are such memory lane to the simple childhood we had. Such simple times when people would just come over in the evening to meet up without texting or calling.
I feel these shows depicted how we lived and the later shows of 2000 on cable started to show rather how we should be living and dressing. Specially the Ekta Kapoor dramas never ending sagas!

I am very much thankful to those who uploaded this serial. This is one of the favorite serials of my childhood which I was missing for a long time...was unable to forget and wanted to watch again...my dream came true...this time I enjoyed watching all episodes with my son again after many years...memories will be cherished forever, for sure!

One of my favorite serials, I would watch this without fail. Realistic and relevant even in today's time. This era of serials need to make a come back, not just for relishing old memories but also because such serials showed realistic life about students, the hardships they faced, the friendship forged for lives, there was no over dramatic scenes of overflow of glamour.

Old Doordarshan serials of 90's are evergreen they bring back our childhood days. Serial "Darpan" is one of those. I wish Doordarshan should upload this serial.
