What most of the people are missing is with what temperament a serious candidate is writing the prelims paper, although no one was ready for options in 2023 but no one was also ready for factual questions in 2024, which makes it even harder, as lots of silly mistakes were committed.

I am giving exam from last 3 years, and first time I did polity and economics question wrong. I think people highly underestimating this paper

Started with getting 98 in GS and now after 1week+ getting net 82 in GS1, so anybody saying the paper was easy is just bluffing !

This is so true ma'am. I felt the same. Initially the paper looked easy and straight, but later while solving them, it was like a trap set by UPSC. Thank you for bringing this out, as everybody who didn't give is saying it was one of the easiest exam. So I can completely relate to it. Thank you 🙏
Silly mistakes ke alawa bhi there were many close options and they deliberately put options jisme tukka lagane pe wrong mark hoga if you are not having precise information.
Am getting 98 in paper 1 and csat main 110. Wrote Mains in 20, 21 and 23.
And yes iss paper main hawa nikli meri bhi.
So 85-90 chali jaye cutoff wahi bari baat hogi.

I totally agree to what you said ma'am. It's easier to predict high cut offs while sitting in AC.

Yes.. exactly..last year not a single institute predicted less than 80..even insights told 81 to 82..this year insights predicted 85 to 87..where as PPL are saying 90, 95, 100, kuch bhi

Same i also found 2023 paper easy because although options was difficult but questions were easy only just by eliminating data i was able to reach answer😢😢😢 but this year i suffered headache for 2days

Completely agree...one thing all need to understand that UPSC never makes easy paper....it may look like....same was with me when I attempted questions, I was thinking paper is based on the earlier pattern and 2023 pattern is no more but I had no idea ki paper is easy because when I was doing questions I was feeling that and ultimately I analyzed the paper and found that there were many silly mistakes, even coachings are not sure about 5-7 questions.... All who are clearing CSAT and scoring 75+ in GS should start preparing for Mains immediately....all the best 👍

Mam aapka isbaar prelims GS m kitna score aa rha hai?
Last year was difficult this year was trap. People who are claiming 85+ , sit in AC hall and solve the paper . I'd say cutoff will be almost the same like last year, if not more or less. Last year CSAT had scope of elimination, this year, at least 17-18 RC were difficult.
Let’s see how much the cut off goes but I agree that the wasn’t that easy as being hyped all over.
@@SelfhelpgroupforUPSCYes madam, many people did silly mistakes. I'm good at polity , still went wrong in dissolution question. I think many people will be doing such mistakes. Also last time comprehension were relatively easy, this year it was very hard. That's why I did mathematics first and then started comprehension.

Is it true that there's variation of 10-15 marks in answer key of UPSC n coaching!? Bcoz im scoring 100+ in CSAT but in GS its between 60-70. I know mera nahi hoga, just asking..
Yes, it happens. This time there are some doubtful questions. Moreover, even the coaching institutes are not having same answer key. So, it’s just a matter of 4-5 questions having different answers when compared with official UPSC answer key.

@@SelfhelpgroupforUPSC exactly and that qn right above red sea vala!!! that pipeline one!!! upsc statement is oil and natural gas carrying bbut it carries only oil!!!! and all big coaching valas say that the statement is correct..........and that vermin one too!! i think that qn wud be cancellled!

I am not able to qualify for CSAT for sure, was completely relying on RC and my score is 97 in GS but I am out in CSAT then how can cut off go above 95? People like me are definitely going to feel danger of CSAT fail...

@@SelfhelpgroupforUPSC thanks, means a lot, i never wanted this situation but ultimately u never know what happens in this UPSC journey...cleared 2022 pre with good margin...failed 2023 pre with good margin but this time getting 68 in Vajiram and RauIAS key but Vision is giving 65... quant and reasoning is sorted just need wishes in One RC ka questio🤞
RC is subjective, just one question right and you will be in. Moreover in 2022, I was getting exact 66 through various keys, not at all more than that. But in the final score, I got 70. So it just has to be your day, rest everything follows. Wish you all the good luck🤞
