@@sonu1704 For getting into IITs, you either need to be a JRF or a GATE. Then, you need to appear for an interview with your research proposal. (choose a topic which is in trend or is related to some or the other emerging areas in literature. IITs are more into interdisciplinary kind of research)

I dislike govt universities for PhD admission. Admission is very tough. If you get admission guide would not cooperating with you and in iit/nit/state university average time for PhD 5 to 7/8 years. Where as in private university admission is easy and if you pay fees in time your PhD degree gaurnteeed within 3 to 4 years maximum . All recognized university of University grants commission same values , the PhD value depends on quality publications not university. So think twice before taking admission in govt university for PhD. Hip hip hooray for private university. Thanks.
