I mistakenly set any other app as pdf viewer and the problem was that the pdf was not opening and I was tensed as my school work was also not opening but after watching your videos was able to change my pdf viewer and I can open my school work opens again

This is driving me nuts The instructions don't work when I go to apps and I go to default apps I only see like six default browser default email default home screen that's it there is no option for default PDF there is no manage apps option there's no way to add a default it's just not there
When I tap on a PDF and files it always opens up in Google viewer I don't like Google viewer because Google viewer doesn't have a page view it only has a continuous scroll view which is a royal pain in the butt when reading a magazine
Adobe allows a page view now if I click on the three dot menu and go to open with then it opens it in Adobe how do I bypass this when I click on a PDF in files viewer I wanted to just open in Adobe but I cannot find anywhere where that default is set that it always uses Google viewer

I understand your frustration! Setting default apps, especially for PDFs on Android, can be slightly convoluted depending on the device and Android version. Don't worry, I'll help you through it.
Here are two methods you can try:
Method 1: Clear Defaults and Set Again:
Clear Google Viewer's Default:
Go to Settings > Apps.
Find Google Viewer (or "PDF Viewer" if it's not listed as Google Viewer).
Tap on it and look for "Open by default" or "Set as default".
If available, tap "Clear Defaults".
Set Adobe as Default:
Open the PDF file you want to set Adobe as default for.
Tap the three-dot menu and select "Open with".
Choose Adobe Acrobat Reader and tick the "Always use" checkbox.
This should set Adobe as your default PDF viewer for most cases.
Method 2: Check Advanced App Settings (Android 10 and above):
Go to Settings > Apps > Advanced > Default Apps.
Here, you might find various default app categories, including "PDF Viewer". If present, choose Adobe Acrobat Reader as the default.

I have a list of maybe six items under default apps and Google viewer and PDF viewer are not there
When I'm in the Google viewer looking at a PDF if I tap on the three dot menu and tap open with it does open Adobe viewer but I have to do that every single time
When I use the Google files app to look through my downloads of PDFs and I tap on a PDF it always opens it in its internal viewer and I always have to click the three dot menu and click open with and then it automatically opens in Adobe viewer but I have to do that every time there's no settings in the files app for me to change this there's no settings while looking at a PDF in the viewer to change this at the apps and default apps doesn't have an option for Google viewer or PDF viewer
I suspect my only options going to be to uninstall the Google files app if that's even possible and use a different file explorer but that's its own can of worms and also a pain in the butt especially since it's very hard to find apps that don't come inundated with freaking ads anymore
I will double check later but I believe this tablet is running Android 13 and it looks like a pretty naked Android 13 I don't see any bloatware
