You may not be a famous champion that everybody knows in a blink, but seriously Jon, this has to be the best content from a youtube channel on bjj concepts, technique and learning that I've ever seen. You offer so much more than fancy moves. It's quality instruction and crisp clear concepts to really help grasp the art of sport jiu jitsu. Well done!

Another great video. I really like when you cut in competition footage to illustrate your points.

I am really enjoying your channel. Keep up the theory stuff that is the best way I am learning. I can then apply it to many scenarios that may not be text book. LOVE IT!!!!!! THANKS!

Hey your videos are super helpful and informative, there really isnt a lot of concepts out like this explained in this great detail, if you could do a concept idea on the berimbolo, not how to do it but all the stuff that can happen as your inverted taking the back, thanks keep the awesome videos coming !

Hi Jon, loving the videos, they're really helping me.
I'm a white belt, feel like I'm doing pretty well, but I hang on to grips, or fight for a position a bit too long when there's no longer a chance of recovery.
I'd love a video based on this situation, say someone's almost passed your guard, when or how do you react, let go and make the best of a bad situation (or is that the right thing to even be thinking about?) .

As always great video. Been ddoing bjj for 2/3 months and from all the chanels Keenanonlin, Stphen Kestking, Knihght, etc . Exept for Atos. U seem to be most ""begginer friendly"" Since you do overall understanding of the position first (concepts) and than show some realy apliable techniques. Keep dooing your think. PS: smeens like im building my game of this chanel :D

Would like some examples of when they are sitting up if possible; as it's the game most at my gym play. I find it much harder to pass this type of guard especially when they are aggressively looking to come up for takedowns.

What do you think about the over under pass? Does it cancel out all the guards like DLR/RDLR/spider/SLX, etc Bernardo Faria seems to use only this one pass and he has beat many top level guys with it alone.

AA AA Over under is a great pass series and very effective way to impose your pass game on the opponent. In my experience it is a little bit harder to implement in the lighter divisions because of the size to flexibility ratio. It can be done of course but is I think more effective in the heavier divisions.

DerRapper 5000 I can do my next video on knee cutting against the knee shield then. A lot of people have a hard time with that position.
