Another awesome video Emma. The T31 from my experience is exactly as you mentioned. Don't try smash it straight away, give it time to establish and settle in. I myself tried pushing my T31 to its limits early on. The front yard recovered however the backyard has been a fighting battle ever since renovation. Definitely don't be scared to feed it high nitrogen. I've found it to be a high input grass to get the most out of it. Regular grooming and fertiliser will see it do some pretty amazing things.

how much sun does the back plot get?

I had parts of my yard spread about 3 feet into my garden but that was is the part that had the most amount of sun. In areas where it only gets 4 to 6 hours of sun max it does not spread at all. I guess it is a very different turf species. And yeah winter colour is not great but I can live with that against all the positives.

Some good info there! Keen to get a full season with both plots this year

@@lawncareaustralia8796 yeah and I think Tahoma really hates the cold. If it is protected from cold wind and frost it seems to hold colour better. There is no perfect grass type.

@@richardportelli1983 exactly right! My experience will be different to others based on my environment as well. So many factors! Keen to see the TifTuff and Ironcutter in neighbouring plots as well

@@lawncareaustralia8796 did you get hold of some ironcutter already? I have heard it's quite different from Tahoma and tif tuf.

@@richardportelli1983 no, but I’ve heard great things. Keen to see it for myself! Not going to lie, I’m just keen to play around with a few different varieties

Great update! What kind of dog is that? Kind of reminds me of a Bernese but brown and a beauty.

That front plot looks awful compared to the back one, not sure T31 is all it's cracked up to be for a homeowner

It doesn’t look that great at the moment, so will be interesting to see how it goes now I’ve fertilised it
