This is a great development in an otherwise horrid season. Jasson, along with Wells, Pererira, and Oswaldo should gets at bats in September which should be a great time to acclimate them to mlb with ‘24 in mind. Very excited at this kid’s potential!

The last thing he needs right now is to be stressing over the language barrier. Some questions are easier than others, it doesn't hurt anything to have the interpreter there to help out whenever he's more comfortable answering in Spanish
There’s a big difference In speaking a language well enough to talk to teammates and feeling comfortable enough with how you speak it to be on live TV.

Also, just because one person feels comfortable doing it doesn’t mean another well I’m happy you speak Spanish in Spanish your second language would you feel comfortable going on national TV for one of the biggest sports teams speaking your second language

This is the only sport in North America of the major sports where we don't make the players learn and speak the language. This doesn't help with marketing the game. Nonetheless hopeful to see this kid stick and be dynamite!
He clearly knows English but to do a whole interview and what is a second or third language is not easy the kid is 20 years old on one of the biggest stages in the world playing for one of if not the most recognizable sports teams in the world if he’s not comfortable speaking English for a whole interview I don’t care as long as he is a good ball player

Learn other languages and you’ll meet more people and hear some interesting stories of their culture. It’s always a two way thing.
