I know the feeling. The same happened to me and my family. We were traveling in South India when the announcement came. We were in Ooty and I just Withdrawn Rs. 20000 to pay the hotel bill. The manager refused to take the Rs 500 notes. And after two days we traveled to Banglore and the first thing next morning was to stand in queues to replace our Rs 500 notes to brand new Rs 2000 notes. A trip to remember..... On a fun "note" we had a blast spending all our Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes as the Banglore shops were gracious enough to accept them.
you have really learnt how to use your hands for eating Indian food. Tearing that piece of dosa, wrapping some potatoes with it and dipping it in the coconut chutney was perfect!
when in India skip chutneys and curd at open places....only have stuff thats steaming , piping hot..why risk trips to the toilet whole night .U r one gutsy travel vlogger .

Besan laddo is one of the fav of most of the indians. you should try motichoor laddo but from the best shop motichoor laddo made of ghee. and i recommend you to eat dhokla (snaks) , jalebi with samosa and Rabri imarthi . You are in delhi try to Eat it . you like it. GEt well soon

Ivana - Try to use ola e-wallet for your travel , my suggestion is that they to use that Rs 100 for other emergency use and try to reach any nearest airport or bank with your passport & Visa to get ur money exchanged . also try to get up early and find a ATM that's working & withdraw some money. it's gonna be difficult for some time now

Hi dear.. I will suggest you to go to indore. Its a foodie city. And you will definitely love there. At night at 8pm you will see a lot of crowd in sarafa market. Lots of yummy food is there. Please visit once there.
Awwwe ya it's terrible but in that weired situation in India, you can always go to any Gurudwara they will provide everyone free meals and in emergency place to stay as well..
if you are still towards the north side, that is around delhi then you should visit Himachal Pradesh.. places like Manali, lahul-spiti, tosh etc etc... or you can go to uttrakhand and visit nanital and other places that side... i keep on travelling in india alot, mostly the offbeat places... himachal pradesh is one of my fav places to visit... these places will be closer to visit.. there are so many amazing places to visit but depends of what kind of adventure you have in mind :)

I Ivana. I'm a serious fan of your vlogs .. The first sweet that u tasted was Milk Cake its made out of milk sugar and cardamom, milk is heated for hours until it thickens and then they add sugar, cardamom and Alum powder, alum is used to make it crumbly, alum curdles the milk so as to make it grainy . The second sweet is Besan Laddu ( chickpea flour balls ) its the chickpea flower roasted in ghee (clarified butter ) and sugar, as u were saying there was no peanut in it hehe .. The nutty flavour comes when u roast the chickpea flower in ghee . and sorry about the third one even I do not know about it hehe . we dont have that sweet in our region :p
