I am struggling to choose a space marine chapter, I like dark a angels an Imperial fist. I like to paint dark angels, i like the vanilla look of the imperial fists. Which should I chose?
I agree with Dutch (although it hurts to say so! 😭🤣) The Dark Angels are getting a huge revamp, that combined with the return of Lion El Johnson gives credence to taking them on. The Imperial Fists only have a few named character models at present but hopefully they will be getting the love they rightfully deserve in the days to come. As to another factor it is damned hard to get a really good finish on the Fists as painting yellow is a very steep gradient to climb! However either choice is sound and I hope you enjoy your chosen army! 👍✊
I've been kinda thinking of making my own homebrew Space Marine Chapter for some time, my idea is that they're an Ultramarines Syccessor Chapter that are essentially like a Loyalist version of the World Eaters in that they have a preference for close range combat and being proficient at melee weapons such as Chainswords, Chainaxes, and power weapons, my Chapter also has orange Armor since I wanted my Marines to look somewhat unique on the tabletop (if I ever get around to playing 40k again)
There're over a dozen loyalist chapters that are just that to be honest, no need to homebrew, flesh tearers, space sharks, black templars, white templars, could go on.
My next chapter will be the Red rockets, a loyalist chapter based on the death guard for their hardiness, the white scars for their rapid and deep strike capabilities and the iron guard for their ability to penetrate any hole. They’ll mostly use melta guns to spray all over their enemies faces. Color scheme will be a deep mahogany color with angry red helmets. They’ll be famed for their twin or triple hole breach tactics.
So who do you think the Carcharodons Astra orginate from? Most people say it's between Night Lords and Raven Guard while some argue for World Eaters. And then believe they are a hybrid...
Fun fact: After Ulanor and the War of the Beast, all Imperial Fists are Ultramarines. The Imperial Fists were wiped out, and rather than have it be known the Imperium covered it up.
I’m not normally one to reply to comments, but in this case just feels right too do so, as a loyal Imperial Fists (IF) player.... The event your referencing here is the War of the Beast. This happened in M31. The IFs were nearly wiped out by the Orks on a world called Ardamantua. The only survivor being Captain Koorland. He initiated The Last Wall Protocol, which had been set up in secret by Rogal Dorn after the Legions had been broken up by Guilliman. This protocol stated that should the IFs ever fall (either wiped out or below the strength to recover their numbers) the Successor Chapters of the IFs would be bound to tithe warriors and perhaps more importantly Geneseed and aspirants to rebuild the Parent Chapter and to show that mighty Terra was always being garrisoned by the Pretorions of Terra. So in short the IFs were rebuilt at this point from Successor Chapters, the Black Templars, Fists Exemplar, Crimson Fists, Iron Knights, and Excoriators. Most were Second Founding Chapters meaning that potentially some of the oldest veterans would have been Imperial Fists before the breaking by Guilliman. Thus the Imperial Fists are most definitely not Ultra Marines! ✊lol cheers and For The Emperor!
I was still a bit sick while recording this and my voice kinda gave out, hope you guys enjoy it though!!
Great Content! Keep them coming. As a fellow Lore Master I fully appreciate your efforts 👍😁
Flesh Tearers are just Blood Angels with aviator sunglasses and biker jackets
And live in the Bayou

Dark Angels have a lot of new things coming within the next year, so I'd definitely say that dark angels will be very fun in the next few years!
@@Dutch40KGuy thx for the advice

Oddly enough, I want to run the Lamenters. But idk where to start.
The Minotaurs won't really kill you if you ask about their lineage, they're just being ironic warriors!
Where raven guard?
No mortificators?
