I’ll never forget. I was 18 and in my first year of college. Before I left for my morning classes, the first plane hit. At that time, we didn’t know what all of this really was. They were still saying it could have been an accident but it was hard to believe something so horrific could even happen.
I remember driving to school, glued to the radio in utter disbelief. By the time I got there, the second plane had hit. Classes were cancelled.
I drove home in tears and when I got there watched the unraveling news and cried with my Mom.
It was indescribable. I still cannot even imagine how all those who were directly affected feel. Those who were just there for a day. Those who called off sick. Those running from the black smoke and falling rubble. All the children who lost parents, people who lost loved ones. My heart will always break for those who were at the heart of this tragedy that changed things forever.
    We will never ever forget.

On this day I was 11 years old. My dad turned on the TV and it said breaking news. I thought it was something I seen a million times before but what I saw next wasn't what I expected. I saw the first tower that was hit. I saw the flames . I felt every emotion. Going to school the next day I felt silence. I couldn't hear anything for awhile. My 2 uncles that were in the military then were called to duty. At That moment i felt like everything was about to be worse . Towers were hit then my uncles were called to duty. I wondered what more could happen that day. this morning I stood at attention for those lost for the heros lost for my uncles . I stood in front of the TV as a reinactment of how I stood in front of TV when the towers got hit.

I can still picture where I was in the classroom and all the kids that were seated next to me, as we looked on to what would shape history forever.

I was 25 years old and a head cashier at Home Depot in Monrovia, California. I was getting ready to set up registers when the first plane hit. Everybody at the time thought it was an accident but when the second plane hit the other tower we all knew that something was deadly wrong. Everybody panicked, and ran out of the store. We ended up closing the Home Depot, my general manager, myself and another associate and went home. I remember listening to Howard Stern, at that time he was on terrestrial radio 97.1 Free FM talk and it was the first time I ever heard him not in a happy or jovial mood or in an adolescent tone, but very clearly in a nervous, scared, and very serious tone; it’s a day that I’ll never forget. The heat source has to be 5000 degrees to heat the metal up to 2000 degrees.
The damaged section of the tower may have leaned due to the impact but it didn't.
Damage to the structural beams would've had to occur along the bottom of the tower to cause failure of the entire structure.

While the fate of the car’s passengers remain unknown for now, the accident could easily have killed its occupants. Judging from the impact, the Audi could have driven through the metal guard rail at high speed. The occupants of the Audi have survived this gory crash.
