The Dream from the finale scene of Titanic. Composed by the great James Horner (1953 - 2015).
This is the original ending music composed for the end scene of the Titanic. Composed by legendary James Horner (1953 - 2015). In my opinion the most emotional ending scene in film music history. The combination of the scene together with the music reaches the highest state possible.
Maybe the Braveheart and the Terminator 2 ending scene are perfect too combined with the music!
I would like to mention that this video is a combination of two pieces namely the first part is from "A Life So Changed" and the second part is "The Dream". The Dream is the part when Rose is laying in her bed and gets her reunion dream.
Next to this I would like to mention that this was a request to do the Dream with this new setup. I believe his RUclips name is something like TheGreekPianist. Anyway here it is :)
This piano cover is based on this clip: y2u.be/0v-L-b3wF0g. Please check out the YT channel of Asia Raven Brook Pettus. It's amazing with a lot of short movie clips from the movie Titanic. Created by a real Titanic fan :)
SPOILER ALERT (for the people who haven't seen the movie):
I am mentioning a comment of someone else that says it all:
"In the final scene, Rose throws away the diamond (known as the Heart of the Ocean) into the ocean because thats where it belongs with the rest of the titanic. Its also a metaphor representing the fact that 84 years ago she let go of the biggest part of her heart(Jack) and so now she lets go of that piece of her heart to him. In the end she passes away in her sleep warm in bed just like she promised Jack. Also added is the fact that she dies exactly where Jack and all other passengers of the titanic did, therefore finally giving in to her fate of dying with him. In the final vision, after Rose has passed she reunites with all the others who had passed this time without any division between rich and poor symbolizing that all are equals in death. The clock behind Jack reads the time 2:20am which was the exact time the Titanic sank completely into the ocean. When you understand the significance of such minute details it just makes everything so much more special."
What is your favorite ending of a movie where the scene blends perfectly with the music?

Have a lot of fun while practising and thanks for your support!
Thank you I dint have a piano but I’m asking one for christmas
Thank You For This, This Just Brings Tears❤️😭 Its Amazing
Thank u
“Make it count, meet me at the clock” Jack gave that note to Rose at dinner on the titanic. But it wasn’t the only meaning of the note in the long run. As jack would have wanted, even though it would have been a lot easier just to die with jack in the ocean, she remembered Jack’s last wish and didn’t let go of the promise she made him. Rose made her life count and did everything they wanted to do together and then met him at the clock in the afterlife, that’s how I take Jack’s note. When old rose chucked the necklace that cal gifted her into the ocean, she let go of the worst part of her life, cal. And then as jack told rose she died an old lady warm in her bed. But technically she still died with Jack, in the exact same place he did, just 84 years later. I think even though jack dying was sad, it was still a happy ending which also had a lot of meaning, that in the afterlife there is no rich or poor, everybody is equal. Jack and Rose shall both live the rest of eternity together where they were happiest. Even though I wish jack survived and they had their happy ever after, I feel jack had to die in order for his message to mean something. Jack lived every day like it was his last and enjoyed life. It also shows that roses heart always belonged to jack as when she died her soul went to him, not her husband or her family. He was the love of her life and when she gave her heart to him she could never love anybody the same, I also feel like by rose taking Jack’s last name, Dawson, after he died she would have that part of him forever.
You are right
Wonderful interpretation and very similar to mine. You expressed it beautifully. Wish all our dreams remain alive with Jack and Rose.
Jack had to die
Now you made me cry!
Well, interpretation😭😭😭
💔💔💔
Hope Jack and Rose are together now in Heaven.
This version that you have created is a masterpiece, R.I.P. James Horner, congratulations for you my friend
The change of tone from F/Dm to A/F#m and combining grand piano with bagpipes, are probably two of the most beautiful, moving and emotional musical creations ever. Hymn to the Sea makes me drain my tear ducts every fucking time.
Sublime. One of my all time favourite scores. Horner is such an inspiration to me.
Absolutely for me as well! He was a legend!
A favorite beautifully played.
Thanks Marianne!
The main reason why I love the movie Titanic 1997 is because of the music it is so unbelievably beautiful! ❤️ R.I.P. James Horner, you are a gift to earth. And you sir whom made this video, you are a legend I hope to see more content like this ❤️❤️
The whole movie I'm not crying at all and then the ending scene ALWAYS gets me, so I burst into tears... xD
Same here! That's why I generally always avoid the ending scene on youtube XD
Beautiful 💕 gave me goosebumps and flashbacks to that heartwarming scene in the film. James Horner’s finest IMO.
Thanks Sarabi for still following me on RUclips!
Noud van Harskamp of course! You play beautifully! And so many of my favourites 💕
My favourite movie, my favourite ending scene, and my favourite song ♥️♥️♥️
Failed my calculus exam due to procrastinating throughout the semester but its okay I will study consistently from now on and study hard to make myself proud. (27/2/23 8:14pm)
Back in 1997 I was looking for this - it never existed and all I can say is thank you for covering this so perfectly. Felt the whole finale all the way to end before the credits roll
@@osx86x thanks for sharing me your thoughts with me🙏
It's so beautiful music. Thankyou sir for this music. Love from india 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
Thanks for your kind and positive words Shiv 🙏
This made me sob😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Amazing! This melts my heart! Great job, sir!
Thank you sir!
This was so amazing played, you are packed with talent ❤
Love you
I honestly cannot say that there is anyone else that can play this song so beautifully on the piano besides you man.
Good work, love from Cali
✌️
Thanks Mason! I appreciate your kind words. Do you like the subtitles? I added them recently☺️
Noud van Harskamp I really like the subtitles, it’s basically how I feel about the scene as well.. I personally think the ending to the movie is the best ending in cinema history. And James Horner is amazing for making such a beautiful song
The one sure fire way to know that it’s not just a dream and that rose actually died and went to heaven is because of when jack earlier in the movie said “You’re gonna an old lady. Warm in her bed.”
@@NoudvanHarskamp I love your music and subtitles ❤️
my favorite track (that isn't even in the official soundtrack for some reason?!) out of my favorite movie score of all time and you played it beautifully :')
Thanks!! Its indeed strange they never released this piece on any Titanic release😔
Damn it bro... beautiful.. just purely.. beautiful
Love the music 🥰
It wasn't on my plans to be crying today, but it's just so well played, thank you that
Awesome.
Nice piano I wish I can but..... 🥰😉😩😍
WOW increíble 😮🙂😁👍🎹🎵🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶
:D
the way this song starts is just so damn good... 0:05 - 0:15
Its indeed one of the best intros ever. James Horner composed pure magic with it💥🙌
@@NoudvanHarskamp James Horner and John Williams(aka Harry Potter, Star Wars, Jurassic park, etc) are my the best composers for me
Thanks man. You're the best
Thanks! I am happy to hear you like this version:)
@@NoudvanHarskamp Thank you for doing this. My aunt died today at the age of 93. She was a well-known Polish choreographer and ballet dancer. My uncle died in January this year. He was a ballet dancer and pianist. It was my aunt who gave me motivation to play the piano. She wanted me to be like my uncle in the future. On Saturday I recorded this song for her in my performance and she was delighted. I learned this from your previous movie.
Greetings
I am sorry to hear about your losses. Its nice to hear this piano arrangement helped you out! Stay strong!
@@NoudvanHarskamp Thank you one more time

Thank you! I have to get into the suites one day when I have more time🔥
Really good! Loved it.
Good job bro, I’m a big titanic fan! R.I.P James Horner, he will be missed, who’s with me
Love the musica
Great! I like your Interpretation.
I played this piece over and over again!
How do you make the effect with the lights?
Amazing.
I was listening to this beautiful song as I was reading the subtitles...., great written btw....and then it says "she passes away in her sleep warm in bed". WAIT, WHAT?! I believed for almost 22 years that she's just sleeping peacfully after she told this heartbreaking story. So after all she passed away "in the ocean" anyway, where the Titanic sank.
But now the final scene where she kissed Jack on the stairs makes more sense.
And of course- well played :))
Well they never gave a “clear” answer, the director says it’s up to the audiences opinion. Some say she died, some think she’s just sleeping. IMO, the idea that she’s just sleeping is actually pretty depressing, because if you think about it, imagine that ending scene was just a dream, and then she woke up and found out it was all nothing.
i love this sounds
Sounds amazing Noud!Great work my friend!
Thanks George!
Beautiful
Got goosebumps! Beautifully played
Thank you!!
I love it! Thank you for your video 🥲🥰
I have played the yours version of this song by adding extra instruments like bagpipes + Oboe and harmonium etc.
I am inspired by this Song very much
Though yours version is always great

TITANIC🥺😥😭
I'm listening to this while looking at life of Lucille Randon who just died at 118, the oldest person, she was born in 1904. This beautiful piano over a photo of her young and beautiful in 1923 😢
Beautifly done! Best cover thus far
Thank you🙏

Very nice! Greece from Germany

Me encanta el piano y tus videos
Beautiful🖤 now do this to the 8 minute version of "Freedom/Bannockburn" from Braveheart and life would be perfect🖤🖤
That is one of my favorite Horner cues! I already did that but you want me to make it with this setup? What kind of Color represents Braveheart do you think? :)
@@NoudvanHarskamp yes, do a synthesia for that one😁🖤🖤 dark blue definitely, at least to me, reminds me of Braveheart🖤🖤
Anyone in mid 2024 listening to this masterpiece? James Horner will play this song whenever resurrect in the afterlife
R.I.P. Bernard Hill

@@NoudvanHarskamp i lost it because of goggle date of birth my real age is actually for now 12 years old on may 3 2022 im 13 years old
Hey ! You can add some multi-instrument like bagpipes in the end like bagpipes or strings
Will you try to make it will sound more real !
There are no bagpipes used during this score so I wouldnt add them.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
О Боже, этот кавер прекрасной мелодии получился лучшим! Спасибо! Привет из России

Stay safe and stay healthy. Take care of yourself.
Stay safe out there as well.
uffffff
VEEEEERY NICE
Everyone would remember the bouncer opening the door and the people waiting.
James Cameron must've really done some historical research since he both wrote and directed Titanic.
Nah when Jack dies, it kills me-
I wish you could do tutorial for beginner.. Like c1, c2, c3, c4.. And the keys. It will easier for beginners to actually try to learn.
Do you have an example for me? We can discuss this further via my website if you are interested on: www.noudvanharskamp.com
@@NoudvanHarskamp I'm sorry. Just saw the comment. For example like phianonize lesson. Where you can see which key you're pressing. Like c3, g1. B2 and so on. I can link the video. ruclips.net/video/PvRYAmslJqE/видео.html

Hi. I was wondering if you would be able to play Hymn To The Sea and Rose's theme in the I'm Flying scene in Titanic. Your Titanic stuff great. Might as well play the Titanic soundtrack for piano tutorials. Lol.
That is actually a good idea! I am planning to do more Titanic Piano Tutorials! I already did Hymn to the Sea but not with this new setup as it will make it easier to learn.
