Thanks so much! my professor made a video explaining to set the pixel size in the interpolation to .0001 and i got a big black box and then i could not cut it and this was so helpful! finally
What do the numbers in the scale themselves (those you can see next to the colour when he's choosing the colour ramp) represent ? Is it just where the rainfall was the most dense in the area ? Or is it something else as well ? This video was very helpful either way !
Hey sir! Great vid. I happen to have a single raster file and I would like to interpolate it. (plus the polygon of interest with no attributes). You happen to have a vid on that?
How can i interpolate with two or more attribute fields (for instance like wind and rainfall in this vedio). What if i have to Interpolate considering both the values.
Hi Sreelekshmi, At a time single attribute values can be interpolated. You can interpolate wind and rainfall separately and overlay it for better understanding and visualization.
Hi Amol Rupakheti, thanks for your valuable comment. Extract Values to Points Tool can be used for your analysis, which extracts the raster values to point.Thankyou
Hi Ms.Ashwini B, Create a point shapefile and plot the location. Finally use extract by points tool to get values of the particular location. Thanks for your question.
Hi Mr.Cricket Highlights, Please check the link you get valid points www.researchgate.net/post/Is-there-a-minimum-number-of-required-samples-data-points-for-IDW-Interpolation-in-GIS
Hi Mrs.Anuja S, The boundary map is behind the raster image because, you might have added the boundary first and after that you might have executed the IDW. Hence IDW is the latest file, hence it was automatically added on the top your boundary. Thanks for your valuable question. I hope your doubt is solved.
this is a very beautiful video. so i have tried out the same but the minimum and maximum values displayed doesn't capture all my data. how do we make sure that all data are being captured?
Hi AKIDI FIONA, can you please elaborate the problem. Why do you feel the minimum and maximum values displayed doesn't capture all data. thanks for your valuable question.
Hi Ms. Sena Ecem Yakut, These station monitor rainfall, so you can measure the amount rainfall in the particular location. Each station records the rainfall, that can change due to various conditions.
@@TerraSpatial Hi sir, I'm actually a beginner with QGIS and I can't quite understand your question. But I emailed to you the pictures of my problem. I hope you could help me sir, for this would be beneficial for our thesis :(( Thank you
Hi Mahansi Rirhandzu, what type of attribute field have you choosen. While creating attribute field for rainfall or temperature choose field types as number not text. Check it please. Thanks for your valuable question.
Hi Haruhit Kunwar, thanks for valuable feedback and comment, I don't have any social media account right now. Maybe you can mail me, please check in channel description, thank you.
Hi Gutoof Osman, Please check the shapefile it must have values, for rainfall it should details of rainfall 100 or 20. For running IDW some values are needed. Secondly select the appropriate attribute which having values. Thanks for your valuable question.
Very informative professional video without unnecessary words, all is relevant and to point. Thank you
Thanks for your valuable comment 👍

Helped a lot! Thank you
Hi Mr. Lowiek, thanks for your valuable comment and support.
thank you ,this helped a lot btw which version of QGIS did you use in this video ?
Thanks for your valuable comments, I don't remember the version, it can be qgis 3.14
Thank u...i wanted to create heightmap from a gpx file...🎉
Thanks for your valuable comment 👍
Good video How we can make interpolation with rain fall interval (eg 500 - 750, 750 -1000, 1000- 1250)

Thank you for the video. How can I extract the values at the set of points that I want?
Hi Amol Rupakheti, thanks for your valuable comment. Extract Values to Points Tool can be used for your analysis, which extracts the raster values to point.Thankyou
Hello! How can I use this technique for a time series data? Thank you
Hi Asmita Subedi, please set the time interval, for example year, then do it individual for selected year one by one.
how to get value of rainfall for particular pixel or lat long
Hi Ms.Ashwini B, Create a point shapefile and plot the location. Finally use extract by points tool to get values of the particular location. Thanks for your question.
Sir, I wanna know about the minimum number of sample stations in IDW method?

How you can add this data in station?

can you tell the usefulness of this technique?
The IDW does not show up after I click run, why?
Hi Mr. Vincent Cheng, What version are you using and what's the error message?
I need help sir. After choosing my vector layer for the IDW Interpolation, no "Interpolation Attributes" showed up. :((
Hi, Is your vector point ?. For Interpolation - point vector suits. Thanks for your valuable question.

tried this but on interpolation parameters my parameters aren't coming, only latitude and longitude

Hi, how do we make gridded maps of maybe 50,100 or 200m resolution. Then, are we able to interpolate the daily precipitation data by IDW?
While interpolation you can set cell size Mr. Crispus Allen.
can i get that sata file that you have used
Hi Mr. Abhiram D B, i don't have the file. The video is made 2 years ago and i couldn't find the file.
