Like “Wicked” totally does, especially since it’s not a theory, it really does try to rewrite the story kids loved so much. Main reason why, despite my even greater love for live theatre than for movies, I’m not a big fan
For me nothing ruins childhood I think this is interesting seeing movie from another perspective but everybody cannot do that. If I was a kid and watching this videos maybe would be traumatized but not now

While the sequel theories could have been in the minds of the writers of the sequels, that does not make the concept of the original movie different. The only one that kind of makes sense is the Harry Potter theory, but it is still fiction and entertains, without a need to delve deeper.
I majored in animation in college, so we learned a lot about Pixar. The man who came up with the whole idea of Toy Story revealed later in life that Andy is actually Andy Jr. And Andy Sr. passed away so Andy Jr. found a box of his dads old toys. And all the toys think Andy is actually his father. The name written on the bottom of the boot is actually his father’s.
Part 2 to this. The reason woody is so valuable is because he was part of like a send in box tops for a prize promotion that was cancelled. And they only ever made one doll for the promotion. And I can’t completely remember how Andy Sr. ended up with the doll, but that’s why the collector freaked out when he saw Woody.
You know, I play this game where there's a pic of Kevin and Jigsaw together; can't think of the name of the game now, but now the pic makes sense!! 0:44 Really Shrek improvs his name not the fact that Shrek could be the reason why there are no other ogres cuz in Shrek Forever After Ogres where everywhere when he made his wish or donkey could be one of the naughty boys from pleasure Island in Pinocchio 😔
@@Roeclean but who kept them away, once he had a buddy (Donkey) to constantly pester him? No one; they just didn't want to approach the stench of Donkey's farts. What about when Fiona came on the scene? Simple: just leave it to the woman, to take care of pesky invaders, esp once they started a family... Although, after each child was born, became the man's responsibility to protect his home and his partner from danger, while the woman recovered, physically. After that, it was up to both partners-slash-parents again, to not only protect their home, but to also protect the children from any possible danger.
I like the theory i once heard, that Wonka was the final incarnation of the Doctor in Doctor who. It makes sense in regards to his quirky appearance his high inteligence and sense of madness. Not to mention that his glass elevator could double as a Tardis.
Whilst reading Harry Potter, I seriously thought the ending line would say: “And then Harry woke up from his sleep, panting from the dream he had. Then he sighed deeply, finding his way back to reality, this is another day with the Dursleys.”
That's a really good theory. I've always thought that Grease was Frenchy's fantasy and that Sandy is a fictionalize version of herself. In reality, Frenchy was a nice girl in High School but she was an awkward loner with bad grades and big dreams. She drops out of High School to attend beauty college but unlike in the movie, she doesn't go back to school. Now Frenchy is a 30 year old hairdresser on her feet 10 hours a day, fantasizing that she is back in High School. And just like Sandy, she's the most beautiful girl in school and she is dating the most popular boy. She hangs out with the cool kids and belongs to The Pink Ladies. And most importantly, she stays in school and graduates...and then for some reason she goes to a fair dressed like a slut while her friends cheer her on. Anyway, in the end Danny whisks her away in his magical car and they live happily ever after. This would account for all the teenage characters looking like 30 year olds and why Frenchy was the only one to come to Sandy's rescue when she was being bullied by The Pink Ladies.
@@billmerryman5270I feel they made Grease 2 just to kill that theory. Now I never understood how Frenchy would be in school in 1962 when she was 18 in 55. Same with Eugene even if he was a freshman in 55 how the Hell is he still in HS in 62. Now I believe Frenchy would have stayed in touch with Sandy because she shows her cousin Michael around.
I’m pretty sure, in Back to the Future, that when Doc had the car come towards him and Marty, he was trying to prove how confident he was that it was going to work. He was so confident that he was willing to put both their lives at stake since he was so sure that it would work
The biggest problem i see with that Back from the future clip is that if Doc wanted to kill himself and Marty, why did he move when he knew the car would come back?
In theory he recognises yoda cause hi is a jedi master But the events on star wars were a long time ago so Probably et is old a** f*ck or he met with baby yoda
They never said much about the species of Yoda/Yaddle/The Child... other than they live for about 900 years, and still look like babies at 50 years old... so perhaps ET’s species has met other’s of Yoda’ s kind, not just Yoda.

I always thought the same thing . His life was so eventful , why would they end it with anything but him still going thru life changing events but still loving your life and the people around you . Like he says "$h!+ happens"
In the book Forrest is his biological father but Jenny tells him that his son will never know him. She flat out tells him this other guy will raise him and be his father and Forrest has no say in it. Also she doesnt die in the book. She is just a terrible, awful human.
Never thought of the Dorothy and the wicked witch connection. Also, what if Dorothy was meant to become the new wicked witch of the east? This is why the ruby slippers when to her. Perhaps if Dorothy wore the slippers long enough, the slippers might have corrupted her and turned her evil. The wicked witch of the west wanted to kill her to prevent this from happening.

Here’s an interesting one, the Patriot who got his head blown off by a British Cannon in the movie The Patriot is actually the Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow.
My favourite Batman fan theory is the one where Bruce and his parents have all been shot by the mugger (lets face it, why would he leave a witness?) And the whole Batman story is the dying Bruce's last thoughts. Kind of like a reverse "life flashing before your eyes" where he's living out his whole life before he dies .Dark as hell i know but a cool theory.
How long of a last thought can someone have? How can he imagine a story that grandiose and larger than life in just a few seconds? That would also deem the whole franchise useless imo
@theillustriousone8324 , true. In fact, I prefer to think that he's a mentally ill man still haunted by the death of his parents, and the 'villains' he fights are likely abusive or misunderstood psychiatrists (likely both depending on who's who); Alfred, Leslie Thompkins, and Commissioner Gordon, as well as the Justice League members, are all the doctors or fellow mentally ill patients he reveres as good, and his allies the Batfamily are likely misunderstood abused/neglected mentally ill kids (except for Barbara who could be a psychiatric who pretends to be a superhero to keep them calm) he takes in. Maybe that's why in canon he's so abusive/emotionally distant to them and yet they keep coming back: it could be that his mind is so disturbed that he pictures them doing things he doesn't approve of (like murder), but since they are orphans whose parents likely abandoned them or have died, the Batkids (including Jason from time to time) still flock over to Bruce, who is the only adult to show them love they've never experienced before. Now wouldn't that be a dark take..
It's also possible that shrek paused to decide if he wanted to give his name or just walk away. As for wonka, he had the kids scouted out and he set things up for the kids to fail, eliminating them from the contest. He had no intention of harm. He even said that they were safe. The wizard of oz one makes a lot of sense cause all the main oz character represent a part of someone she knows and a part of her personality
As far as Forrest being the boys father, the way I took it was, that the whole point was it never occurred to Forrest to ask. JR was Jennie’s son and that was all that mattered.
If Wonka is a killer, then he's very bad at his job. After all, how many people died in "Chocolate Factory"? Augustus: Lost some weight. Probably gained 20 or 30 years of life. Veruca: Nothing a hot bath and a change of clothes won't cure. Violet/Mike: Permanently disfigured, but alive. Given that he precisely choreographed the whole journey, even knowing how many kids would remain at a given time, it's unlikely that he would fail if his intent were termination. He knew who would win. Had he not wanted to punish the four little hooligans, he could have simply ushered Charlie into his inner sanctum and made his offer right there.
0:44 Shrek Improves His Name 1:34 Kevin is Jigsaw 2:43 Forrest Jr. Isn't Forrest's Son 3:49 Willy Wonka is a Killer 4:47 Dorothy is the Wicked Witch of the East 5:57 Cameron Imagines Ferris 6:57 Doc's Heinous Crime 8:00 Calvin and Hobbes 8:50 Magic Isn't Real & Neither are Harry's Adventures 11:58 E.T.: Sith Lord
Maybe E.T. truly was an evil Sith Lord. I used the word WAS because he may have been changed after he met Elliot. They got to know each other and grew a bond that became strong. After spending time with Elliot and after his life was saved by him, E.T. Gave up his evil ways and never did anything evil with his sith powers because he knew that’s not what Elliot would want.
Forrest Jr. is named after his father. This is revealed in the movie. And do all of Batman's villains ask "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?"
3:25 i have a nephew that has severe brain damage and cerebral palsy this comes from complications when he was been delivered and doctor incompetence he has the mental age of about 2 maybe 3 years old but sadly for his dad that has to change his nappy still at the age of over ??? (ive forgotten when he was born i know he is over 30 by now maybe 35+) he is still fully functioning downstairs so trust me forist would still be quite able to get down even if he doesn't know where babies come from, heck ive known people that were still surprised that babies didnt come by stalk when they got pregnant but thats the 1940s for you people were a lot more innocent back then. that of course doesn't actually mean the baby is his i have a friend that's sure the kid is his but you can see it isn't but in the end it doesn't matter he loves the kid and he is raising her with love so in my books that makes him the dad and ied say the same goes for Mr gump.
I really enjoyed the Bond/The Rock one, I haven't heard that one before, but I can see that working and I am officially going to put the rock with my bond dvds.
Shrek name makes sense. Plot hole there is that his human cast seems to only speak English. But I like the idea of coming from the German phrase to scream
I once had a theory that the Trolls films took place in a post-apocalyptic world. But now that I think about it, it's probably the same scenario as The Lego Movie, since everything's made of fabric.
about that honorable mention with The Joker not being the murderer of Bruce's parents... isn't that just a regular fan theory about batman in general? a fan theory i've read somewhere is that none of the villains even exist, and that Batman is actually in a mental asylum, just imagining these villains. there's not even a batman. but we all know that it's Joe Chill who killed Bruce's parents. :)
I got one for you, The Beast is the bad guy in Beauty & the Beast. He kidnaps Bell, holds her dad hostage unless she stays with him. Plus Gastogne is a pretty solid pick for a husband. He only had eyes for Bell and would ignore the other hot babes in the town because he wanted to marry Bell and even organized a mob to storm the Beasts creepy castle and save the woman he loved. And does anyone remember the Beasts 1 rule? "Never go in the west wing". Well that my friends is littered with broken furniture and broken dishes (the servants he took his anger out on after the curse happened) he was ashamed of what he did to them so he banned all travel to that area of the castle. I never understood as a kid why everyone thought the Beast was the good guy and the strong handsome hunter was the bad guy? I mean, don't all women want a popular handsome guy who can provide for her while raising a family and doesn't look at other women? So confused as a kid
9. We find out in the new one that he started a home security business. 7. Yep. 6. "OZ the Great and Powerful" lends more credence to this, but it implies Glinda's real world self is Dorothy's mom. But then it also suggests this is totally a dream.
you know how anyone in Oz is a counterpart of real people Dorothy knows? The only exception is her aunt, she doesn't have a double. Someone says it's the good witch, but they are not played by the same actress. So the dead witch under the house could be the aunt double, and the good witch just simbolyze a mature Dorothy
I've heard a few of these theories before, but the ones I hadn't before now were really interesting. Also, I thought Shrek's name was a nod to the silent horror movie actor, Max Shrek, who played Count Orlock (prototype Dracula) in "Nosferatu".
I don’t agree with Forrest Gump. When he arrives to see Jenny, and she breaks the news to him that he has a son, he goes to talk to him. They sit the same exact way, and they both tilt their heads as they watch Bert and Ernie. As for her fatigue, she was a drug addict during the 70’s, sharing needles. Even though it was never said outright, she contracted Hep B, which would explain her always being tired, and Forrest never getting sick, as her fatigue could have her viral load increasing, but not enough to where she could transmit it to Forrest. As Jenny got more sick, the odds of them having sex would have been very low, as Forrest clearly wasn’t the type to demand sex, he just wanted his Jenny.
Wow. You forgot to mention that in ''Calvin & Hobbes'', that damn tiger was always ambushing him and roughing him up, cause, you know cays like to stalk.
I like the honorable mention of GROUNDHOG DAY and I love SHREK, FORREST GUMP, FIGHT CLUB, the HARRY POTTER franchise, E.T. THE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL, and the honorable mentions of the TOY STORY franchise, JURASSIC PARK, and THE ROCK!
One everyone overlooks in these comparisons is the Casino/Sister Act connection. Sam is Vinny and Ginger is Connie. The real fun part is who Deloris is actually bassed on and why Bette turned the part down.
I've always thaught that Shrek made up his name, otherwise he wouldn't have esitated when both Donkey and Fiona asked his name the 1st time they met him.
They essentially confirmed the Jurassic Park theory that the dinosaurs are not true dinosaurs when in Jurassic World when Dr. Wu, while talking with Mr. Masrani about why he created the Indominus Rex with such traits as camouflage, says that all they had ever done was play with the DNA, experiment with their creations, and if the genetic code was pure the dinosaurs would look vastly different, but what the park's visitors, and thus the park's owners want is giant lizards with sharp teeth (I'm paraphrasing that last part :D ).
I don't buy that Forrest Gump theory. Why would she name her son Forrest is he wasn't the father? And even if he wasn't, the fact she named him Forrest shows that Jenny wanted HIM to father her son.
Ok, the Toy Story one is kinda obvious and not really dark. It's very apparent Andy's mom is a single mom. And the Jurassic Park one is exactly that - genetic expirements. Jurassic World takes care of that long-awaited explanation with the line, "You didn't want dinosaurs, did you? You wanted monsters."
I think Forrest Jr was Sr's because there was a scene showing how they had the exact mannerisms when sitting down. That shot signified that it was his son because we all thought he wasn't initially.
Life is full of rivers, the ones who succeed are the ones who build bridges. The ones who don't are waiting for an imaginary boat to take them across." -The Shades

I think Haley Joel Osmond is Forest Jr’s father in ForestGump because that kid looks A LOT like him.
That Kevin being jigsaw theory just makes the home alone movie 20 times better
Odds are Shrek has never been asked his name before he met Donkey

Watchmojo uploads film theories that will ruin your childhood.
Me: Oh boy, here we go again.
I did saw a Xenomorph in Star Wars in one of the comics does that mean anything
I did saw xD omg
No. Easter egg
What comic was that from?
Bold of you to assume I had a childhood 😂🤣
Luna Lovegood: "You're just as sane as I am."
Somehow that's not comforting.
Fun fact : spiders, octopus, lobsters etc have blue bloods.
0:44 Shrek Improves His Name
1:34 Kevin is Jigsaw
2:43 Forrest Jr. Isn't Forrest's Son
3:49 Willy Wonka is a Killer
4:47 Dorothy is the Wicked Witch of the East
5:57 Cameron Imagines Ferris
6:57 Doc's Heinous Crime
8:00 Calvin and Hobbes
8:50 Magic Isn't Real & Neither are Harry's Adventures
11:58 E.T.: Sith Lord
In the 1989 movie, Joker was the killer of the Waynes
Maybe E.T. truly was an evil Sith Lord.
Since when were Fight Club and Saw kids movies.
And Forrest Gump too. It's definitely not a kid's movie either.
Good point!!
calvin and hobbes, and home alone were the things being ruined in those instances
I mean kids who r immune to horrors but still......
Did you know clown fish can change their gender if their mating partner dies... now you know why Marlin was really looking for Nemo!
Home Alone theory is nice , rest is way too farfetched
I once had a theory that the Trolls films took place in a post-apocalyptic world. But now that I think about it, it's probably the same scenario as The Lego Movie, since everything's made of fabric.
It would explain why troll 2 is so weird
You should do top 10 movie intermissions, the one from HELP! Being number 1
Even when I was a kid, I never believed that was Forrest's kid. Always thought Jenny was pregnant before going to him
about that honorable mention with The Joker not being the murderer of Bruce's parents... isn't that just a regular fan theory about batman in general? a fan theory i've read somewhere is that none of the villains even exist, and that Batman is actually in a mental asylum, just imagining these villains. there's not even a batman. but we all know that it's Joe Chill who killed Bruce's parents. :)
I got one for you,
The Beast is the bad guy in Beauty & the Beast.
I always thought that Groundhog Day was about reincarnation and the evolution of the soul. I love that the movie mentioned it in this video.
That's an interesting thought. I adore this movie. I'm 65 and everytime I see it I cry.
I always wondered about theories and I’ll be honest I love seeing where the persons mind goes with these!
I've heard a few of these theories before, but the ones I hadn't before now were really interesting. Also, I thought Shrek's name was a nod to the silent horror movie actor, Max Shrek, who played Count Orlock (prototype Dracula) in "Nosferatu".
Count Orlock makes me think of Dulock Lord Farquads castle
@@FrighteningFettuccine "Do you think, maybe, he's compensating for something?" (8/23/2022)
I actually like that Shrek fan theory!
I don’t think Shrek not having a name at 1st would ruin anyone’s childhood
Literally 😭💕1% of people who's reading and watching this may there parents Live More Then 100 Years
With Good Health 🤘💕>>
Lol I just realized that the F on the letter for shrek was the facebook F
That Forest gump theory is depressing 😢
Here my childhood theory ross Gellar secretly gave up Ben to foster care that's why he dissappeared not movies but still funny
The child has a mother...
That's not funny, it's sad. I grew up in foster care.
I've got a good one... The dog in 'The Grinch' is a Christmas puppy that was thrown away then taken in by the Grinch
10:16 Loker never did in the first place! The man who killed his parents was named Joe Chill (Comics and Dark Knight Trilogy)
Holy cow that song at the beginning was like New New Wave.. so 80s. I liked it. lol
Forrest Jr not being Forrest's son is probably true. Jenny was pretty sexually active and forrest would not be any hard to hard to decieve
Calvin (child), Cameron (teenager), the Narrator (adult). All the same person
I would not hold it past Jenny to lie to Forrest about him being the father.
But maybe she thought that Forrest would be the best person to raise him
They essentially confirmed the Jurassic Park theory that the dinosaurs are not true dinosaurs when in Jurassic World when Dr.
Na ET's a Jedi. Since he recognized Yoda and said "home" then clearly he's a Jedi
8:53 I can hear the *Harry Potter fans* screaming of hearing this theory 😂😂😂
My forest gump theory:he escaped a mental hospital and repeating tv documentaries, news, etc while putting himself in them. He's just crazy,DUH!!!!!!
I don't buy that Forrest Gump theory. Why would she name her son Forrest is he wasn't the father? And even if he wasn't, the fact she named him Forrest shows that Jenny wanted HIM to father her son.
That home alone theory is very believable since a lot of the traps in home alone are very similar to saw traps
Not to mention that a lot of pretty f*cked up stuff happened behind the scenes of the Wizard of Oz
I think Forrest Jr was Sr's because there was a scene showing how they had the exact mannerisms when sitting down. That shot signified that it was his son because we all thought he wasn't initially.

Well bloody THANK YOU Watchmojo, you have COMPLETELY ruined my childhood.
Anyone else who kept stopping the video to read the Calvin and Hobbes strip?
We should try Asking E.T if he loves democracy or not.
Love the one about Kevin in jigsaw!!
highly doubtful
Imagining Harry Potter being from someone's childhood just makes me feel so old.
