Kathryn Dorsey so he’s the only white rapper in the game??? Why can’t every white rapper sale like em??? lyricism, wordplay, metaphors, rhyme schemes etc.. is why he sales the way he sales..skill level he’s at the top.. two diamond albums #goat
Kathryn Dorsey did u even watch the video? 50 cent said em is THE best. What is wrong with youth today as they can’t read or digest information from a video. Good god have mercy
Kathryn Dorsey Those words were said early in his career when there were only black rappers, so that’s why that kickstarted him, but it can only take you so far, he became the “Best Selling Rapper of All Time” coz of his musical talent not coz of skin color, timing or any of that bs
I think people are forgetting the fact that Eminem STUDIED his way into hip hop. Read a dictionary every night, listened to countless albums, learned about different techniques, read about old school artist (he's one of the only artist that name-drops old school artist)...he is what you would call pure hip hop.
Yoke the joker - naughty by nature is Em's Favorite Song he said it on that ICE t Interview. " i didnt rap for months when i heard that song i was listening that song all summer " . Just try it the flow of Treach is the best ive heard
No matter what color you are you stay loyal to your friends. Eminem has always been a friend to 50. So when Jay-z came out and said Eminem was the most overrated rapper of all time this was 50's way of saying "get real". Much respect to 50 for not selling Em out because he's white.
Aug 19, 2014: In a recent interview with Music One, the Magna Carta emcee allegedly deemed Slim Shady the "most overrated rapper of all time." Ouch! Talking about the MMLP2 superstar's fame, HOV reveals: "I don't really understand the appeal of dude... He dropped a few hot verses back in the day, but he's been mad average for many years now. He is probably the most overrated rapper of all-time, but he did really well targeting his audience. He is a genius in that sense, but in the bigger scheme of things, there are a million rappers who were and are lightyears ahead of him." Apparently, Jay's simply confused why Em outsold so many other legendary hip-hop artists: "When you really think about it, it's ridiculous that Em has outsold so many rappers with real talent. 2Pac, Nas, Big and Kanye and myself would rap circles around him. I am not trying to take away from his talent, but in all reality, his catalogue can't match mine." According to Beyonce's beau, Shady hasn't released anything too exciting since his last collaboration on the hit 2012 track, Renegade. "The last hot verse he did was on my track," Jay muses.
The thing that makes me say Eminem is the GOAT is not only because of how good he is but because of the insane amount of work he has put into his career. He didn't get it because of the color of his skin. He got it because he worked harder than anyone else in the room and 50 knows that cause he's done the same thing which is why he has so much respect for him and is so humble about it. 50 can do nothing but show respect because when you see someone work as hard as you then you have nothing but respect for them.
raymaster972 for sure, think about it, Dr. dre took 50 and Eminem and Kendrick under his wing, all aftermath artist, and each one of them is the best at what they do, because Dre taught them and was real with them since day one, he wasn't fake with them like Jerry was to dre and nwa. They're the best by natural talent and dre teaching them and helping them become better with there natural talent
Lots of respect for 50 cent for telling it like it is in the business world. I agree that Em is da king. But I like 50 cent a lot for saying what he said.
I feel the same. 50 cent is a great one for saying that. What is sad is that so many of Em's haters hate him simply because he is white. Shame on all of them. No matter what, Em is da king!!! Heh.
The way 50 talks about Marshall in this video looks like a real friendship should look like. His eyes, his voice, his face. That's the kind of people we all need to have. Real, true friends that will be with us no matter what happens.
Why is everyone diverting from the main topic of the video? 50 Cent made it clear that if there is an artist who believes or is believed to be better than EM, he should be put in a room 1 on 1 with Em. It's that simple. I don't see the need for all the talks & arguing and blah blahh. 50 said we can compare them in anyway we want and Eminem would still come out on top. He even said he'll bet everything he has! It's unfortunate for some people, but it's the simple truth. The truth hurts, doesn't it?
Ehhh I don't agree I think Big L, Pun and Nas could potentially beat Em in a rap battle. Em never faced a top 10 rapper and MGK even though he lost slapped Em so hard with rap devil he was forced to respond.
That's why i like ma man 50 so much. Real hard working business man, rapper but not a fool, black strong beastman but not blind, proud of his origins but aware of
Eminem was the first rapper I've ever heard, back when I was a kid. And 50 Cent's The Massacre was the first CD I ever bought with my own money. To me, both of them are the greatest of all time, because both of them introduced me to rap genre. Both of them are extremely talented, they just have a different style. Not better, not worse, just different, and that's wonderful.
"Some people are born with very little; some are fortunate enough to have it all. When I grew up, we didn't have much. I had to hustle to get what I wanted... but I had that hunger for more. I didn't always make the right choices, but I learned from my mistakes." ~Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson
50 is telling the truth. There is a reason that no one wants to go against em. I wish they would though so he could bury each and every last one of them lyrically.
I'm sure it must hurt Jay-Z along with many others that Eminem is so good, but facts are facts. I could care less what color his skin is. His combination of wordplay, beats, mixing styles, humor and self depreciation is UNMATCHED. Almost every time I hear him on a collaboration, he's not just better: he's much more unique. Stop worrying about the color of someone's skin and recognize greatness when it's in front of you. He should be top 3 on everyone's list, whereas Jay-Z is maybe top ten. Great businessman, great beats.. But... No Marshall Mathers.. Period.
I find it so funny that so many people hate Em solely because of the respect he gets, hate to break it to you, but when a guy is adored by fans & respected by the rap community by even the legends, there is nothing to argue...
"And Eminem murdered you on your own shit!" - Esco. Hov is a brand, marketing genius, and businessman. But on MC'ING/ straight up RAPPING; Em takes that cake, fuck all that who sold more bullshit shit. Selling more records doesn't make you a better MC.
I freakin' LOVE 50 Cent, dude just says what he feels and doesn't give a damn what anyone thinks... Absolute legend of the game, and always gives props to Em, just like Em gives props to Dre. Legends respecting who helped get them where they are.
Jay Z is a good artist but to say he is better than Eminem is willful ignorance. Eminem's lyrics are without a doubt amongst the greatest in the industry, not just in hip hop period! Lyrics are the most extremely important aspect of rap music then delivery and Eminem has been more consistent than any other rapper I know. Jay Z on the other hand, his lyrics are very mediocre at best. Jay Z is a fantastic businessman but I think people are judging them based on their net worth not on the content of their music. I would however say there are black artists who are definitely on par with Em BUT as for Jay Z vs Eminem it's not even a contest. Even if you look at Jay Z's "Magna Carta Holy Grail" album, it was very poor relative to "The Marshall Mathers LP 2".
Dave Dass give me eminem top 10 eminem songs with meaning/substance.and lyrical ability and i give you jay 10 ten then we can compare them...em may have the adavantage but it's going to be closer than you think
I honestly can't be bothered to give you 10 songs as that would be time consuming picking them out, I can however give you 5 and you reply with your Jay Z songs.

I always get kind of emotional when I see this clip and I hear 50 Cent describe how M is a true friend for him. I think it's inspiring to see somebody like Curtis, who struggled during his whole early life, being able to put so much trust into another man. That's what you call true friendship right here folks.
@@cru-mbs3640 You can hear it in his voice and in the way he talks about him. This is what you call Blind Trusting. And it makes Curtis a millionnaire and a legendary rapper of his era.
I always liked 50. He always seemed real to me. Even if he didn't compliment Em. 50 still sticks by with Em, 50 remembers who helped him. Like how Em is with Dre
dan coolinism bogus lol. Eminem can do deep meaning songs. Only 1 name comes to mind and thats Tupac stop being racist against him dude its showing big time. Eminem is the 1st or 2nd best to ever do it check the sales on albums and Eminem’s track record. He went platinum numerous times and diamond as well.
dan coolinism you can still be racist. Name 1 rapper other then Tupac who is better I will wait. Godzilla secured Eminem’s legacy if anyone thought they could dethrone him he has given many chances called out numerous people Budden shut up cause he knows Emimem would dust his ass just like he did Ja Rule Benzino and MGK. I don’t know how you can be delusional enough to think any rapper besides Tupac has a chance at this point. Nas moved to 3rd after Godzilla because Eminem can do deep meaning songs and lyrical fast shreds. Tupac is what they call the godfather of hip hop thats only reason he is still up there as the GOAT but you out your mind to say any rapper currently in the game is better its no competition cause they don’t want it so they back down everytime Eminem has come at them they stay away if they try look what happens MGK is now doing rock music and is not relevant anymore. Don’t be racist or a delusional mumble rap fan anymore and accept greatness for what it is. Find another artist who has out sold Eminem.
@@ZGaming2018 Lyrically Eminem is the greatest, the greatest hip hop artist is Tupac no doubt the greatest rapper is Rakim My favourite rapper is DMX Lyrically Nas, Big Pun, Method man, Big L, AZ, Rakim and DMX are up there with Eminem Tupac wasn't the greatest lyricist nor rapper but certainly the greatest hip hop artist
To me there's nothing more motivating than when someone overcomes extreme adversity and rises to the very top of their field against all odds through sheer skill, perseverance, and force of will. I love seeing it, not just in rap but in other professions as well. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it is an amazing thing. This is one of the reasons Em is such an inspiration.
This is deep, I've never understood how Eminem wrote so much content and puts it on a record as though he's writing books. He's damn good, he bends words and everything makes sense and on point. 50 couldn't be more right.
50 cents loyalty to eminem is truly amazing even now with others dissing eminem 50 cent already stated he’ll mess some people up for EM 50 cent even stated as well that he holds eminem up there with his grandparents which says a lot
Eminem just is the best rapper ever, pac was great and wrote some meaningful shit, probably more than em, but lyrics wise em is just on another level, he just is!!
Daniel Kendall People say Em is the best because he's popular, and has a cult like following. Don't get me wrong, Eminem is a great lyricist, but everyone I mention is either lyrically close to, better than, or on par with Eminem.
I love 50 Cent. Not only does he make awesome music that I could listen to ALL day, but he's an honest person and mad cool. Plus, he's a tough guy and has been through a lot... AND he's from NYC!
White or not... you cannot deny Eminem's talent and greatness. One of the best to ever do it, anyone who says otherwise is just hating or jealous. Period.
I don't understand why people think that Eminem sells more records "ONLY" because he's white. Think about it! There are millions of people in America who have the choice to buy a Jay Z album or an Eminem album if people buy more Eminem albums(which they do) that means that there are more fans that would rather buy Eminem's album than a Jay Album. It's so simple. Eminem has way more fans that support him than Jay in terms of physically buying albums. Maybe some may shift towards the Em cd because they think it's better. Who knows. By his record sales this is how some rap fans feel because em has sold over 100 million records!
If anything hes underrated cus hes white, i agree it improves his sales, but respect wise being white is a disadvantage...think about it look how crazy black ppl are about biggie, yet Eminem imo is just as good if not better lyrically than biggie, but he doesnt get the credit because hes white
earnshaw1991 Exactly! He is better than everyones top(2pac,biggie). They did well with simple themes. but complex isn't the word for Eminem. He thrived in a black market!
Jay Marks Personally Tupac will always be the best to me because of what he talked about, he was for the people and rapped about real issues in almost all of his records, but yh Ems 2nd to me, but wont get the recognition because hes white lol
+Alexander Blomqvist Nah, if Lord Jamar says he's talented he's admitting Em is good. He knows he can't say Em is a wack artist. But look, Lord Jamar has his opinion and he believes Em is a great artist but not the best. Just cos he doesn't think Em is the best doesn't mean he doesn't think he's good. It's a matter of taste.
He’s had such tough life! And he’s come so far! What every human on the planet doesn’t realise is that! If you put enough work in life, everyone can reach everywhere they want! 👊🏽❤️
that is 100% a lie. a lot of people put their heart and soul into it and never achieve anything. we’re all slaves to the millionaires and billionaires.
okay lets jump on the issue of him being white. The fact that he is white means he actually had to work twice as harder then somebody like Jay or any black rapper especially rappers like Lil Wayne, for him i have no respect at all. EM was hated in rappers battles mainly because his is white. Its like in one of EMS songs he say 'people only see that i am white ignoring skill' And 50 said himself that yes Rap is Black music, and for some its hard too accept that you have a white dude doing better. LordJamar who said he would not even put EM in his top 20 or even 50 of best rappers. Now that is pure ignorance and clearly him being racist. He said that EMS music is not for him its just different. Okay cool but you will ignore EMS skill just like that and put above somebody like Lil Wayne or Drake ??Get da fuck out of here man!! EM could put any of these rappers to sleep.
Coming up I agree it was harder and starting out but once he hit the main stream and was successful it was muchhhhh easier because white people were looking for someone to listen to in the rap genre and Em was that guy so anyone who was white and liked rap or never would have given rap a chance before got behind Em.
+Abigail Weller you guys realize that Em was popular in a lot of black populations when he came out... Like in Nigeria (largest black nation) for example... I remember in my high school days, Em's music was so popular that you couldn't avoid his music... Especially when MMLP came out... On the radio... In bars... Everywhere... Em's music was virual.. I'm guessing his music was loved because it was actually very good... And not because he was white..... I didn't even like rap before I heard Eminem, and it wasn't his colour that got me attached to his music
+Oluwatobi Falade I was in high school back when Em came out, and I was already a fan of hip hop but what got me really into actually listening to lyrics intently was Em. Dude was funny as fuck. From then on I payed attention to lyrical content. He just so happened to be white, but his humor was what attracted me to his work. He was saying shit no one had said at the time, not in the mainstream anyway.
***** well... I'm not white... I'm black African actually... But you're the one here that sounds racist... Nothing bad in admitting a white guy can rap.... And yes, Eminem will pull a crowd as big if not bigger than JayZ will in Nigeria and most black countries
People often think give due, sincere respect to others, especially in any profession that can be very competitive, would lower your own value/respect in the eyes of the audience through relativity. But it's not a zero sum game, respect is not money or time. Everyone can benefit. (rare cases occur like mayweather chose to take on the role of a villian, but this is very specific circumstances and is 1 in a billion exception, not the norm). This rings the same tone as Tiger woods, who is mostly of African descent with a mix of asian, native american, and even caucasian. We all know golf is not exactly the game for everyone. But during his era he got the respect and love from general public. There are always gonna be haters hidden in the shadows but majority of people sees MERIT, skill, not race.
If we are talking album sales and the reach worldwide 50 Cent and Eminem completely destroy Jay-Z. There isn't a place you can name where they haven't heard of 50 or Em. Jay-Z is huge artist as well but album sales wise he's no where near 50 or Em. Jay is HUGE in America, possibly the biggest artist in America. They adore him for some reason, but if you've ever traveled the world you'd know 50 and Em are basically worshiped like God's overseas. 50 Cent and Eminem are two of Hip-Hop's biggest selling artists period, 50 sold over 35 Million albums with only 4 albums out, name another artist that did that? Only one you can name is Eminem. No opinions here, just facts.
jessie toussaint 50 Cent isn't a better lyricists than Jay-Z. BUT 50 Cent can orchestrate a better song than Jay, by that I mean 50 Cent can write better hooks than Jay-Z, even Jay himself admitted that. You can get proof of that by 50 Cent having more #1 songs on the Hot 100 than Jay-Z. 50 has 3 #1 Hot 100 hits while Jay only has 1 which took him until 2009 to get.
Thats what im saying, when you have people on the other side of the world tucked into holes knowing about Eminem, then that means something. This is no longer a black/ white thing. Eminem is bigger than life.
Who cares what other people across the world thinks. Eminem is not better than Jay-Z in no way shape or form and 50 is no where near Jay-Z. Jay-Z is better lyrically than 50 and makes better songs. And Jay-Z makes better songs than Eminem.
50 preach baby. That right there is 💯 % respect for the skills not color not race nothing just brutal honesty. Respect to EM. For doing what he was NOT supposed to be able to do!! 🐐
He always gives out truth wether you like it or not... Seen a lot of his interviews and he always has his moments where he breaks things down to the real reasons behind people's actions

This is an accurate statement of 50Cent on Eminem.. Let's not forget that 50Cent is one of the topselling artist of this generation.. But as good as he is, he knows when and where to put his place when it comes to the discussion of who's the best MC alive today.. It doesn't matter if you're a LOVER or a HATER, the fact of the matter is that EMINEM is the king of HIPHOP today and has been for the last decade.. He is FORBES "Top-selling Artist of the decade (2000-2010)".. That means that no other artist regardless of what genre they are, has sold more albums from the past decade than EMINEM.. That alone is the reason that he is the King of HIPHOP and his contemporaries knows it that he's untouchable on that regard!

Respect for 50 Cent & Eminem !

I love 50 Cent's loyalty. It's the reason I am a huge fan of 50 Cent.
same
That's why i respect 50 cent 1:01 . Some people can't accept the fact that Eminem is one of the best . I think 50 deserves more awards too
E MM... I think you still didn't get it... Not one of the Best... 😒he is ''t'THE Best" rapper. The goat.
E MM he didn’t say one of the best he THE best. He has surpassed EVERYONE. Fair play to 50 for saying that to
Kathryn Dorsey so he’s the only white rapper in the game???
Don't bite the hand that feeds you. 50 is loyal and a real dude. You don't find people like him now days. I respect that.

Damn he sounds so well spoken and educated besides all his trolling he is really smart and humble and loyal
Made it out Jamaica Queens and has become a mogul. Don’t get that without brains.
I think people are forgetting the fact that Eminem STUDIED his way into hip hop. Read a dictionary every night, listened to countless albums, learned about different techniques, read about old school artist (he's one of the only artist that name-drops old school artist)...he is what you would call pure hip hop.
+M oh thanks for clearing that up for us all, mr. grand arbiter of rap... Fucking idiot lol

50 is genuine.
No matter what color you are you stay loyal to your friends. Eminem has always been a friend to 50. So when Jay-z came out and said Eminem was the most overrated rapper of all time this was 50's way of saying "get real".
Much respect to 50 for not selling Em out because he's white.
When did Jay Z say Eminem is overated?
james sterling Jay-Z went on a little racist period rant.
+Matt Williams And he said Eminem is overated? But when? Can you give me a link please. Thanks in advance
Aug 19, 2014:
In a recent interview with Music One, the Magna Carta emcee allegedly deemed Slim Shady the "most overrated rapper of all time." Ouch!
Talking about the MMLP2 superstar's fame, HOV reveals:
"I don't really understand the appeal of dude... He dropped a few hot verses back in the day, but he's been mad average for many years now. He is probably the most overrated rapper of all-time, but he did really well targeting his audience. He is a genius in that sense, but in the bigger scheme of things, there are a million rappers who were and are lightyears ahead of him."
Apparently, Jay's simply confused why Em outsold so many other legendary hip-hop artists:
"When you really think about it, it's ridiculous that Em has outsold so many rappers with real talent. 2Pac, Nas, Big and Kanye and myself would rap circles around him. I am not trying to take away from his talent, but in all reality, his catalogue can't match mine."
According to Beyonce's beau, Shady hasn't released anything too exciting since his last collaboration on the hit 2012 track, Renegade. "The last hot verse he did was on my track," Jay muses.
+Matt Williams Thanks
I swear 50 Cent should've won the Grammy in 03 for Get Rich or Die Tryin but lost to some one hit wonder band. Straight BS
That whole album is absolute flames.

ezolboo Some band called Evanescence
TheSFCEmpire415 You're fkn shitting me... Did that onehit wonder rock band actually win all that?
yeah 50 joined them on stage when they were doing their acceptance speach haha
The thing that makes me say Eminem is the GOAT is not only because of how good he is but because of the insane amount of work he has put into his career. He didn't get it because of the color of his skin. He got it because he worked harder than anyone else in the room and 50 knows that cause he's done the same thing which is why he has so much respect for him and is so humble about it. 50 can do nothing but show respect because when you see someone work as hard as you then you have nothing but respect for them.
Damn...so much more respect for 50 after watching this.
You can tell 50 Cent is a smart individual. And he understands business better than a lot of people.
raymaster972 for sure, think about it, Dr. dre took 50 and Eminem and Kendrick under his wing, all aftermath artist, and each one of them is the best at what they do, because Dre taught them and was real with them since day one, he wasn't fake with them like Jerry was to dre and nwa. They're the best by natural talent and dre teaching them and helping them become better with there natural talent

It’s not crazy, it’s honor and integrity,
Lots of respect for 50 cent for telling it like it is in the business world.

Loyalty.
50 is a real G. His loyalty to Em proves this.
This is honestly the realest talk in Hip Hop.
I respect everyone who respect Eminem. respect for you 50
Why is everyone diverting from the main topic of the video? 50 Cent made it clear that if there is an artist who believes or is believed to be better than EM, he should be put in a room 1 on 1 with Em. It's that simple. I don't see the need for all the talks & arguing and blah blahh. 50 said we can compare them in anyway we want and Eminem would still come out on top. He even said he'll bet everything he has! It's unfortunate for some people, but it's the simple truth. The truth hurts, doesn't it?

I didn't always make the right choices, but I learned from my mistakes."

No bullshit this is one of my favorite videos on RUclips ever
Dave Dass give me eminem top 10 eminem songs with meaning/substance.and lyrical ability and i give you jay 10 ten then we can compare them...em may have the adavantage but it's going to be closer than you think

dan coolinism bogus lol.
@@ZGaming2018 I'm white 😂
dan coolinism you can still be racist.

Also Extremely Business Savvy

+Damiano Cavaliere The nigga put 2 chainz over Em; pish posh.

that is 100% a lie. a lot of people put their heart and soul into it and never achieve anything. we’re all slaves to the millionaires and billionaires.
okay lets jump on the issue of him being white.
***** Want some fries to go with that salt homie?
***** well... I'm not white... I'm black African actually... But you're the one here that sounds racist... Nothing bad in admitting a white guy can rap.... And yes, Eminem will pull a crowd as big if not bigger than JayZ will in Nigeria and most black countries
He sounds so knowledgeable and educated.

***** so are you saying 50 is a better rapper than jay because he sold more records than him?
jessie toussaint 50 Cent isn't a better lyricists than Jay-Z.
***** jay ghostwrote still dre...if that's not making better songs than 50 then what is

I've always liked 50 cent, not his music so much but the man behind the music.
That's honesty and respect on a WHOLE other level 😎❤👊.
I love 50s honesty, integrity and just it is what it is no matter what
