Thank you for promoting photographers! I'm a personal branding photographer, and you're SO right. Photographers can shoot so many more photos for you, we have some really expensive gear and we have spent years learning how to edit perfectly. Please support your local photographers!
This is the 3rd video in a row I've watched. You are answering questions that I didn't realize I had. Very inspiring. I have more of an idea of how to plan post out. Now gotta get to baking😃
Thank you for these thoughtful and thorough best practices, May! As a new content creator (three months in), I've gotten to the point where I'd like a bit more breathing room for the weekly scramble. Your video gave me such useful ideas!
Thank you so much! I’ve been posting randomly and really needed this to get inspired to get a schedule down. Super helpful 🌸 I am so inspired right now ✨
Great video! I love the idea about how to take care of your products. I never thought of that! Can you make a video about reels? Posting photos on IG is going out of style and reels is basically the only way to reach your audience now. Even the CEO of IG has said that video content is what is expected now
Also, I am absolutely horrible and keeping up with social media posts on my personal pages, I can go months without posting anything. So this video has me excited about the opportunity to not have to think so much each day about what to post.
Hey Mei! I remember in a previous video, you mentioned that having a scheduling software might affect your social media reach as algorithm does not really like third party posting. Mainly there are let's say 3 main platforms, Instagram / FB / Pinterest. Do you recommend using FB Manager for scheduling Instagram and FB posts and a third party software for Pinterest or to have all the 3 platforms running through the third party software?
Hi Charbel! Great question! Feel free to check out this blog post of mine for some reference: www.creativehiveco.com/best-tools-to-easily-schedule-your-social-media-posts/ Hope that helps! Good luck!! ❤️❤️
Amazing tips! I especially liked the idea of thinking of all the questions that people may ask about your product/service and creating content around that. Definitely incorporating this. Thank you!
I love this video! Its a gem especially for a newbie freelancer like me who is lost in the world of social media😅. I'll definitely binge watch your other vids. Thanks @Creative Hive!
Hi Mei! Just wondering. Should I only post once a day or I can post more? My products are party tokens for kids birthday and baptismal and most of my clients are mothers.
Hi Nia! You can post more than once a day but if you do I would make sure it is different types on content, and I wouldn't do it more than twice a day. If you post too much, it canjust becomes noise to your followers.
Thank you so much Mei! This has been super useful. I’ve just opened my IG account for my business and you’re absolutely right. It takes time to maintain and time that could be used elsewhere. I will definitely look at the scheduling software and am booked for a photoshoot of my products next week. Luckily I’m an amateur photographer myself and am in a photography group and know lots of them. I’m going to do exactly what you mention. Get loads of great pictures with variations and start compiling. Thanks a million. Kuljeet.
This is great! Thank you for this helpful information! Follow up question, for the next month do you answer the same questions again to write your captions?
Yes, I do! Sometimes I might change it up a little if I've thought of a new idea, but it's the same basic formula so you don't have to go crazy thinking of new things.
Hi! Personally, I no longer focus much on promoting my Etsy shop since I spend most of my time promoting my own website/Shopify. But here's a great article I found on Google that you may want to check out: deliverr.com/blog/10-effective-ways-to-promote-your-etsy-shop/
Hi Mei, thanks for the great video. I do have a question for you however. How many times per day should I be posting on my fb/Instagram business pages? I’ve heard no more than 2 times per day but I’d like to hear your opinion.
Once a day is pretty standard, and trying to aim for a consistent time. I wouldn't do more than twice a day because then you start to become a pest in your followers' feeds.
@@CreativeHiveCo oh wow I wasn’t expecting you to actually reply lol. But thank you so much! ❤️ I recently started an Instagram for my soap business and want to do everything the right way. I also am working on transitioning from Etsy onto my own website & it’s all because of you! Thank you. ❤️
Your posts are so helpful!! :) I have a question that has stopped me from moving further with my business. I am working on a handmade etsy store (dog and cat clothes/ personalized items) & POD shop (dog and cat funny art that I can't make myself). Both have the same idea, same target customer. Is it confusing to customers to market both under the same name and same social media account?
You could as long as it's clear what is made by you and what is manufactured elsewhere. You just couldn't really call it a handmade business since half of it wouldn't be.
Hello, nice video. Is it possible to batch upload Instagram photos using Creator Studio for a month in advance? And can you give permission for only certain access to IG to employees in Creator Studio?
How do you feel about computer generated backgrounds you can purchase? My studio is in the basement so I was thinking about using a “fake” room to display my art.
A lot of people use stock background images for art, and even print on demand t-shirts and mugs, so as long as it looks realistic and believeable, I say go for it.
@@CreativeHiveCo I took your advice and searched people I'd like to hang out with, same interests and hobbies but not the same craft or other makers. Lots of floral fashionistas and gardeners etc. I geared my last post mostly to growing flowers thinking, "if they grow flowers, they must love flowers and flower jewelry?" Lol. We will see. You are truly inspiring and I stream all your videos and 👍 them all. I sent you an email through your website about a video idea. Thank you so much for replying and so quickly!! 💓
@@CreativeHiveCo thanks to you! I'm trying to build relationships with a few influential gardeners. We do have the same things in common it seems. Hopefully when I reach out with my pitch, they will be open to it. Fingers crossed. I'm actually watching your videos now from a year ago. They are all still very prevalent! Tomorrow I'm hitting the road to pitch in person. You are right, having your own buisness is not easy. -you are always spot on-!! Thank you for all you do!

Here's some good information on Creator Studio. later.com/blog/instagram-creator-studio-guide/ It does look like you can schedule a ways out.
Planoly and later are not free? Should I pay??
It depends on if you want to invest in this type of service for your business and how useful you find the service to be.
How do you feel about computer generated backgrounds you can purchase? My studio is in the basement so I was thinking about using a “fake” room to display my art.
It's an excellent idea, actually. Similar to customized mockup images you can get from sites like Placeit. I say try it out!
A lot of people use stock background images for art, and even print on demand t-shirts and mugs, so as long as it looks realistic and believeable, I say go for it.
Very helpful. Thanks!

It may be that your followers are not your target market, or you aren't marketing to them in the right way.
