❗NOTE: The poles of the ark could possibly have been through the shorter side. While making the video I was also confused on this. Exodus 25:14 don't mention which side it is. Most of the representations of the ark is on the longer side. It also makes sense naturally as it would be easier to carry the ark if it was on the longer side as it would distribute the weight better than if it were on the shorter side. Most of the ancient culture in middle east and Asia and Even Ancient Egypt (which Moses and the Israelites would have been familiar with) had a special carriage for royalties called palanquin. Mostly its design was to have poles through the longer side. I think this is what the ark was meant to represent where the Priests carry on their shoulders the presence of their true King - The LORD, the King of the Universe. Thats why this is mostly depicted as on the longer side. But I dont think it matters doctrinally which side it was on. And if the bible has omitted it, dont think it matters much. BUT PLEASE NOTE IT COULD HAVE BEEN EASILY ON THE SHORTER SIDE. If you have any thoughts on this please do share. Thank you 🙂
Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Hope you enjoy the journey through exodus. There some videos on Leviticus as well, you might find it useful once you finish Exodus. God bless you as well 😇
oh the ark we must find the ark everything relys on the ark we are doomed if we dont find the ark dumber and dumber stop looking for relics jesus is in heaven not in a wooden box.
i am not sure who you are addressing this to. This video is an accurate word for word description of Exodus in the bible. No comment has been made on anything close to what you have mentioned. I am not sure why you assumed people who made this video or those watching it are looking to find the 4000+ year old Ark. Firstly, your assumption is wrong: No one is on a mission to find the lost ARK like Indiana Jones here. Secondly, Christianity has its roots in the Old Testament and no Apostle or Church Fathers has ever wanted to detach the Exodus from the biblical corpus. All of the Old Testament including the Tabernacle and ARK points towards Jesus . People need to taught more on the OT as they will understand the full riches of GOD's Glorious work. The bible is a whole theme building up towards a final end. The tabernacle design was given to Moses According to the Pattern of the One in heaven. In the words of the LORD Jesus himself : " If you believed in Moses you would have believed in ME" - which means learning of the tabernacle doesn't lead you away from Christ but leads to him. So if you are really concerned about people believing in Christ, you should be more than happy for people reading and studying Exodus, for they point to the Christ, who has enter into the heavenly realities (of which the earthly tabernacle was designed) to sit at the right hand of the Father. I hope this brings clarity to your statement.
