    this is why I hate working on Macs with blender - none of the tutorial keys work for me! I can't left click and drag - don't even have the fn key on my keyboard ! IMO they're not the best computers for 3d work and they make it so much harder to be intuitive

    Wow, Thanks so much! this is really cool, is there anyway to adjust the randomness or the rotation of the scattered objects?

    all I get is an orange line that never goes away and some lavender spots here and there that are not my object. ? How can I screw this up? I made a simple cube. applied all transforms. colored it brown. Selected my box then my plane then drew and it made an orange line then it put a FEW purple spots out but in solid, material or render view, I dont' see the 85 instances of my box it SAID it put out. any ideas?

      did you press ENTER? my numpad does not sense me pressing enter, I HAVE TO use the Giant ENTER BUTTON below the backspace, above the shift.

    • @TruthSurge
      @TruthSurge Год назад +1

      @BunnyBunniee nope. I had no idea that I needed to press the enter key. I later discovered how to manage to do it. It works but I realize it's kind of clunky. I have a few other scatter meth0ds to use l8ke gscatter and my own geonode thing I made from tutorials but I was just seeing what this one did. Thx for the reply.

    In my add ons list in Blender 4.2, there is no option for the Scatter Objects add on. Has it been removed or renamed?

      You have to install it in blender itself by going to preferences -> Get extensions -> search and install Scatter object -> then check the Add-Ons section again

    is it possible to scatter an object not on a plane, but for example on a model of a hand? Because I can't do it

    How to attach object to scatter?

  • @WillFalcon
    @WillFalcon 9 месяцев назад

    If you just hide an object it will appear on render, so its really annoying.

      One method I use for that is reducing the alpha blend to zero

      u can turn it off from rendering and viewport, it's a separate sub-object in the scatter collection
