Attabad Lake is the newest lake in the world. It is one of the longest and contains pure water. It was formed in 2010 due to landslide and engulfed whole village of Attabad.

The area name is Hunza Nagar part of Gilgit Baltistan province and from here (via Hunjreb Pass) China having access to to CPEC Gowader port.
World's top ten mountains are located here except "Mount Everest" which is in Nepal with no importance for hikers because its Steady and easy to hike.
You Just read about the death rate during hiking of Nanga Parbat,K-2( second highest Peak in world with just difference of almost 200 feet),Gasherburm-1,Gasherburm-2,Raka Poshi due their high verticle angles.
So that's why Gilgit Baltistan is highly important for their tourism and its Strategic location .
You got lot of Videos on you tube of Americans,European directors and hikers on K-2 Skardu, Hunza.
