When he graduated in 1986? He was only 8 years old that year. Try 1996. Also, all the shows you mentioned didn't exist in 1986, and he joined the cast of Days of Our Lives in 1997.
Also, while Supernatural is often classified under "sci-fi/fantasy" it falls more under the "fantasy" genre, and technically under the "supernatural/horror/thriller" genre. It's not sci-fi.

Nice, that you don't forget to mention his new role in "Big Sky" as Beau Arlen, the new sheriff in town. It's so hilarious, that he
has no idea about car engines, complete opposite to Dean Winchester. I'm looking forward to the next season.
In my opinion the chemistry between the actors is not very good in this tv show, but then Jensen Ackles appears in the last
episode of season 2 and suddenly the chemistry is there. Can't wait for season 3.
