Girlfriend asked "what are you watching?" to which I replied "willian walker wood working video; the Bob Ross of wood working". Struck me on the fly as I said it, but extremely accurate. Love your videos!
I feel like I just went to the spa. The gentle music, the smell of sawdust in the air, the shissh of the handplane. And the bonus addition of seeing a talented woodworker make and admit a mistake (oh I am a Grandmaster at that part) was the icing on the cake. Beautiful slab, artfully filmed and presented, and wonderful skills. Thank you for the video.
My first real “fine” woodworking was a class to make a Nakashima replica conoid chair. After this video, I’m thinking of making 5 more and a table to put them around.
Thank you for The Word brother. I subscribed to your channel today. I am looking forward to as many videos as you care to produce. May God richly bless you and yours.
I really love that you included the mistakes and troubleshooting. I worry too much when i make mistakes in my woodworking. Not happy that you screwed up that cut hahaha but it’s comforting to know even professionals arent perfect. Love the vid, table looks incredible!!
I'm a hobby woodturner and furniture maker. I've just finished a dining table and spent today making the components for a coffee table so this video is right up my street. However, it has also shown me I have a long way to go to be considered competent. I have the basis though as I'm "nuts" about beautiful wood.
Im not one to comment on videos and this may honestly be my first comment on RUclips period but i love the table and the history behind your connection. Its inspiring to watch. Thanks Joey Council
Thnx for showing the mistake. I live close to nakashimas shop and he influenced my work and I hadn't realized it until I was an adult. I saw a chair in the Philadelphia museum of art and it dawned on me his importance. His work had help mold me in an unconcious way and I'm glad his inspiration drove you to create such a beautiful piece.
I'm not sure what it is about the style of your videos, they are absolutely mesmerizing. Fabulous work! I hope you keep it up to inspire the rest of us, like myself, lowly garage wannabes. (not actually that bad but just too much work in the way!) Also a HUGE Grizzly fan! Thanks again. Pat
that is a great video and a brilliant result. It's a beautiful top and your detail work was awesome, but it's the base and those joints that really get me. Excellent job!
Great craftmanship and a spectacular piece of wood. Your client has a beautiful table. OBTW..I have never made anything without mistakes. I have been woodworking for a long time. My goal is to get the number down to one or two. To me, it's not about not making mistakes, it about how you deal with them. I admire Sam Maloof and took great encouragment when I found a small booboo on a piece of his in the Renwick Gallery. It was on the underside and not visible. I am sure the other people in the gallery were surprised to see me on the floor inspecting the bottom of piece. Flawless in every other aspect. But strangely that little booboo connected me to him. Not bad..
When you said, “as always...thanks for watching.” I was about to click to another video...I noticed there was a few mins more at the end... so glad I watched it all! The lady of the house reaction was special! The piece of furniture you made there is very beautiful!
I liked so much of this! I would have liked your charcoal epoxy mix to have filled every void on the top. Thanks for showing your mix-ups as well, it makes me feel like I can do this one day. Great and beautiful build. Make your friend a stamp!
Wow. I subscribe to a lot of woodworking channels, but I always look forward to yours the most. Your work absolutely blows me away, and the way you style your videos just makes my heart ache with envy for your talent. Nakashima's work has always been inspiring to me too, I think he would have been happy to see this. PS, thank you for also showing your mistakes. I make them all the time and they drive me nuts and make me want to give up. Seeing that you make some too helps bring me back down to earth
I think this is my favorite table leg joinery I've seen. When you cut the one leg wrong, I audibly groaned - it hurt to watch, because I've been there before. (Just on a lesser level!) That wood is spectacular, and the table was worthy of it. Really nice work!
This is stunning. I love your willingness to show the challenges you faced in that tricky joinery and epoxy work. A technical question: I find big dadoes to be an ordeal. At this point in my woodworking adventures I've done them by killing router bits or by making a million Skilsaw cuts and finishing with chisel and shoulder plane. How do you decide between roughing them out with a bandsaw vs. going for it with the dado stack? I bet those dado stack cuts are long and messy.
Absolutely loved the ending of this video seeing the response of the final result. To me as a woodworker that is so rewarding thank you for sharing that experience with us. Keep up the great work you always inspire me to be better with every video and this one was no different.
Great piece of wood! I have a huge slab of tiger maple that resembles that piece but thicker. I am down to the finish, although I am not sure I want to use Rubio Monocoat on it. I want to really pop the figure of the tiger, so have to attack that first. Great video. The legs and base are beautifully. Yup..always brand your pieces.
Incredible piece and a worthy tribute. I actually live about 2 miles from the Nakashima compound. Seeing his work is a big part of what got me into making sawdust.
The soundtrack during the second quarter of this video (Dry Assembly), it was very "Interstellar-like", like the scene in the movie where they have to match the rotation of the damaged space ship and take it out of orbit... yeah like that. Your video's soundtrack reminded me of that... It heightened the anxiety of having to not just complete the task, but to complete it with perfection. "Come on, TARS!"
Thank you for including the screw up, we all know it happens and it demonstrates honesty. Nice work hombre.

You are a true artist. In the furniture you produce and the way that you portray it. Thank you.
The matching benches really complete the project. Congratulations!
Pettigrew Woodworks They enhance the set as a fully developed composition. Beautiful materials
I love his use of the natural resources and try to keep the natural look. The knots are just part of the beauty in the wood.

Love it. There is no angle where you cannot get a "beauty shot" of this piece.
Beautiful table! That grain is incredible! I am sure Nakashima would be proud.
George would be proud! Thanks for sharing this process. The energy and craftsmanship is on point
Supper sweet man! love it!

Also a HUGE Grizzly fan! Thanks again. Pat
BTW, I really appreciate the honesty!!
We all make mistakes, MOST just aren't honest enough to put on "tape"!
Absolutely STUNNING table and great video as usual.
I follow only woodworking channels on RUclips and I follow quite a few. Yours, is on of my favourites, right now. Congrats for the awesome work.
that is a great video and a brilliant result. It's a beautiful top and your detail work was awesome, but it's the base and those joints that really get me. Excellent job!
So beautiful. Wow.
Absolutely beautiful! George is smiling!
Nice! I love the dark coloured bow ties and epoxy with the dark legs. Great table, great movie :)
Truely wonderful. Two craftsmen at work. A pleasure to watch.

Excellent work! Big fan of the Nakashia Conoid style. like how you narrate your videos along with music and keep the tool sound in but not to loud.
Great job guys! Really beautiful.
Beautifully made video and build! Thanks for using Rubio!
I do believe George would be very proud of your effort. In a word, magnificent.
A gentle approach and build. The respect for the timber and process of transformation is its legacy. Well done.
Loved the end with your customers, great touch.
Her reaction was well worth it. Good job man.
Simply stunning!!! I am so great full to see another video of yours. I always look forward to them, and hearing your stories.
Definitely a piece of art.
damn, that wood and that style, just perfect!
Wonderful work. Thank you for it, and for continuing George Nakashima's vision. 👁️
I liked so much of this! I would have liked your charcoal epoxy mix to have filled every void on the top. Thanks for showing your mix-ups as well, it makes me feel like I can do this one day. Great and beautiful build. Make your friend a stamp!
Amazing craftmanship, impressive slab, superb video production. Thanks for sharing
Outstanding brother! I love Nakashima as well👍🇺🇸

The figure on that is outstanding! Well told story and beautiful workmanship!
Beautiful and a really inspiration to me.
Love your editing style
One of the best storytellers in this space. I love the ending shots of the install and family, it brings it all together.
Great Woodworking as always. But for me form of narration and your way of making movies is masterpiece:)
Wonderful piece. I wish i have the opportunity to make something like that someday
Stunning as always William. I never tire of your story telling and your woodworking is always equally amazing.
Fantastic Will! I love the table and the video.... This was a great way to spend 18 minutes on a Sunday morning... two Thumbs way up!
really beautiful table and nice video stunning wood
Gorgeous table, great work guys
A beautiful piece well made, a beautiful story well told.
New to your channel and from a fellow custom furniture maker... VERY NICE! Your passion for the 'artistry' and appreciation for design shines.
Amazing execution! The emotional response I had at the end was a surprise, but welcomed in this time. Hope everyone is well.
Absolutely gorgeous! The craftsmanship is just so astounding! I loved the video. Your work just keeps getting better!
Excellent work. The delivery was great to see.
Beautiful as always.

Beautiful piece of art!
MAGNIFICENT!! A real piece of art. Love it.❤️👍👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love it! Beautiful job!
Beautiful piece
You have inspired me to go outside of my comfort zone keep up the amazing work
Nice job, thanks for sharing.
really nice piece and a great tribute to the attention to detail of Nakashima. I am curious about the grain direction of the butterfly keys.
Keys should be installed with grain perpendicular to the piece they are being installed in. Is that what you are curious about?
Incredible piece and a worthy tribute. I actually live about 2 miles from the Nakashima compound. Seeing his work is a big part of what got me into making sawdust.
Your videos never cease to amaze. Easy to watch and beautiful craftsmanship.
Absolutely stunning. Wonderful job!
Beautiful table

Utterly bad ass Will! Nice story telling as well. Stay safe.
Nice work, love it, would love to have a chance to work on piece like this
That’s beautiful man! Your stories get to me as much or more than the wood working. Just stunning!!
