I think yoy guys need to talk narratives around rookie versus the WNBA existing stars... a lot of new people knows the rookies but sometimes they dont know how they go up against the W stars. These are exciting stuff 🎉

If anything is deserved 27yrs ago it's the owners actually making some money. I'm a new fan to the league and support future growth, but let's stop this whole "they deserve" talk. Earn it with positivity on/off the court.
Amen. There seems to be such air of entitlement in the W unlike other leagues. I keep getting told what the new fans knew to do and learn to be “respectful” of the league. It’s gatekeeping at its best.
Lol bro did you not listen. NIL played a huge role into getting these athletes in front of our faces. They have always been going hard this whole time. 27 years is a long time to sustain a league so people were already interested. The argument is if NIL can change the trajectory of women’s sport why didn’t they invest in these girls before. A lot of it Misogyny. If you actually watch them play it is actually an entertaining product. Anyone who fights for a goal is something worth watching. So Yes they have always deserved this. I played on a team in college that went 0-11 never made playoffs never sold out anything WE STUNK but we had charter flights 😂😂😂. A D1AA program that went 0-11 or 1-10 multiple years in a row is getting chartered all over the country but those women couldn’t. Stop invest in these women because YES THEY deserve it.

@@kenswift12345 You have this opinion because you’re not familiar with the history of the league and what has really held them back for so long. The Aces and the NIL has allowed them to do for themselves what the league wouldn’t do - market themselves. You don’t turn a profit without investment. There isn’t a business on earth that works that way, yet the WNBA has operated this way for a really long time and have been treated like a side project to the NBA. That’s why they’re scrambling now to meet the demand.
I think instead of judging people based on what they’re saying now calling them entitled, maybe find out why they’re saying it. These women are not looking for handouts.

Relax,don't take that as a slight on Angel, because I think she will be good for the Sky. However, Caitlin is on a whole other level marketing and revenue-wise. it has already been quantified that Caitlin is projected to be worth over 100 million in added revenue all by herself.

There one and one reason only the W is getting record eyes is Caitlin. Not aja not Stewie anyone else. It is estimated clark will brin an additional $100 million this season. That's why they will get charter. Aja doesn't get a deal without Caitlin. She is always entertaining even when she's off. There's not one player past or present that could have taken that iowa team to the final. In fact without Caitlin I'm not sure that team would have sniffed the sweet 16.
The wnba had $60 million in revenue in the 2022 season. That went to $200 million in 2023 and that was also due to Caitlin. She Jacked up interest in women's basketball period. I, and I am not alone, watched my first WNBA after the women's final in 2023. That's driving eyes and interest. She is the best women's college basketball player ever. And the W better get on board and quit bitching. Here's the opportunity of a lifetime. There are tons of great players in college that will be joining this league in years to come but you only get one Caitlin.
Teams are not to bigger venues for the Aces, Sun, Lynx, Sparks or sky. Only the fever.
