Sir, greetings from Pakistan. Rustam is a classically trained singer and in this song as well it's more classical stuff by him throughout. The female singer is definitely Turkish . Loved the fusion of both cultures. Sir, as yourself rightly pointed out, it is a meeting of two cultures and music has no boundaries. Good music touches the soul. Brilliant observations and marvellous reaction as always. Just wanted to apprise yourself that there is an extremely strong and brotherly relationship between Pakistan and Turkey (new name 'Turkiye') not only at the Government but at people level as well. Pakistan borders Iran, which borders Turkey. I simply loved the song. Coke studio season 6 is brilliant. Wishing the best of luck for the speedy growth of this great channel. With warm regards

What a beautiful journey. Interesting fact: The song itself begins with an expression of the rare South Indian raag known as Abhogi Kangra - a raag rooted in a 5000 year old history and is unique due to its structure. Due to its scale being so different, very little work has been done with the ancient raag, something that Rustam Fateh Ali Khan now feels is something worth presenting to exhibit a feel that is one of a kind and thereby create a sound that, with the accompaniment of contemporary sounds, cements the raag’s influence in modern day music.Yes its a mix of Pakistani an Turkish with Serbian house band and Moroccan and African instrument players aswell and man that transition in middle. SUMRU plays Turkish part also with mention of Georgia (Country), alot of Turkish people must have Georgian heritage also interesting cz a lot Pakistanis have Turkish and Georgian heritage as a major tribe (major population) in Pakistan migrated from Georgia centuries ago probably via Turkey and I am one of them which was also proved via DNA tests and Georgia country old name is same as tribe name. There are also many common words in Urdu and Turkish even if not written in same way.
