You’re a vey savvy person for 26 years old. Not many people your age would breakdown their cost of living expenses like you do. Plus you’ve got enough views to make money from RUclips. I’m very impressed!
Hey bro, as someone the same age with the same job but in Australia your videos are awesome. So cool to see how people live & build around the world. Keep it up!
Left Hawaii after living there (Wahiawa) for four years and moved to Colorado and have no regrets. Love four different seasons, little traffic, everything is much cheaper and I can visit family and friends anywhere in the states in less than four hours. I still like visiting Hawaii, but paradise has been ruined, primarily from crazy prices.
awesome Doug! You're right, it is making it tough for a lot of people with how expensive it is here. Family pretty much keeps me here, but I know my dollar would go much further elsewhere lol
My husband and I live on Hawaii Island. We have a good life here and take advantage of all the free entertainment like beaches and hiking, but I know how difficult it is for young families. I've worked with so many people who have to have a minimum of two jobs to support their children.
Awesome to hear Tammy! It's funny how I haven't really got out to the big island very much in my life; never went to see the volcanoes! Haha I went to Kona about 6 months ago and there's such a good vibe out there...excited to visit again!
Bro, this night be the most thorough cost break down l’ve seen XD Thanks for the great content. Was planning on moving to Hawaii to stay for 3months while working as a software engineer. Aloha!
Thanks, actual numbers! After reading so many comments on [social media site] complaining about cost of living but not sharing numbers, your video was a breath of fresh air :)
My maintenance fee was also about $350 a month. Then it shot up to $800 a month because they had to replace all the rotting rusted out pipes including a huge sewer line pipe. The place was built in 1970. So if you buy an apartment, in an old building, see if they already fixed the pipes or you'll be in for a big surprise.
Just discovered your channel today! Your great! Loved all the jokes. I moved here in December 2019, and will never leave. I love it. It's expensive, yeah, but worth it. Love the people, the culture, the food. I can't see living anywhere else.
Honestly that's comparable to living in a Chicago suburb. The only major difference would be housing. Our condo here would be about 2x's more expensive in Hawaii ( square footage/ amenities/etc). Dreaming of Hawaii 🥰
Great information. Yes, food is expensive whether it’s takeout or groceries. Love garlic chicken and chicken katsu. Rent/mortgage is high compared to the mainland.
Very Organized information compared to most people from Hawaii trying to provide this type of lifestyle info. As a Local Asian in Hawaii as well, I agree with everything here! As for our food spending, sadly, after me getting cancer, my mom has been compelled to buy the most pure, fresh, and organic food available on the island where she shops mostly at Down to Earth and Wholefoods for all the produce. Restaurants come out pretty much the same as what you've mentioned, but just her and I combined for groceries and basic commodities come out to: Monthly Groceries & Commodities: -Costco/Sams Club = $600 -WholeFoods/Down to Earth = $900 -Minwa Imports (specialty Korean Seafood Imports) = $400 -Cheong Kwan Jang (Imported Korean Red Ginseng) = $200 -Don Quijote/Palama SuperMarket = $500 -Longs Drugs = $100 -Amazon = $500 So basically $3200 per month because of the need for premium quality healthy food, and Japanese Imported Premium Shiseido cosmetics for my mom. For Housing, we are very lucky, but considering what my mom sacrifced (abusive and controlling husband for 40 years who tried to sell everything before he died and leave her hanging dry) to get what we have, she should actually own the house we live in. Fortunately, my mom is in the good graces of my deceased father's sister (he secretly sold the house to her without my mom knowing) who owns the house we live in, so we only have to pay the property tax, and utility bills. Per Month Housing Costs for Two People: Water/Sewage = $150 Electricity = $250 Monthly Property Tax = $750 for a $1.2 Million Dollar House (3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom, 2 car enclosed garage, living space 1,750 sqft) So, our Monthly Housing/utility Costs total approximately around $1,150 per month without mortgage or rent. We basically are living Middle Class, and Comfortable lifestyle with very healthy food, so our expenses just for food and housing are already over $4,000 per month.
I clicked on this expecting everything to be way more expensive than what I pay living in a tiny town in Indiana but to my surprise most of my bills are MORE than yours lol! except for rent of course. but thats something I already expected. so now I feel better about feeling like I could be financially secure when I move there :)
Way cheaper than here in California, Marin County. 20 minutes north of San Francisco. I lived in Hawaii for ten years on Maui. I would check the rents compared to Marin, and live wherever they were cheaper. I worked in the Restaurant business and always made much more income in Hawaii. Hawaii always offered more benifits in employment. I always called Hawaii “User Friendly”. Aloha!

Gets me ALL my essentials. I notice that a block of cheese at a normal Hawaiin Grocery is 2 for 5. Here on the Mainland you can get 5lbs of Mexican Blended Shredded Cheese for about $12ish at Costco. You must be doing well for yourself as the cost of living is rather high in Hawaii especially on anything that isn't a Native resource to the islands. My Great Aunt and her Family Lived in the Honolulu Ghetto by the University of Hawaii for years. She'd order the cheapest thing in an tourist trap just to maximize off the free commodities that she otherwise likely could not afford. Most places like here a restraunt will tell you off, but I imagine they were so busy and had so much busy they could care less if a 50+ yr old woman was pocketing tiny soy sauce packets. 😅🤣 She Taught me a lot while is back Home in Honolulu About Living Frugal before I went back here to the mainland. Cheers Mate, Hope to move back to The Islands in the future.
Excellent video. I live in Las Vegas. It's getting expensive here as well. Saw you were eating at L&L. I had them last night for dinner. Chicken katsu as well. I'll be coming to Honolulu for 2 weeks in December. Maybe I'll see you at L&L one day. By the way, I just subscribed. Thanks.
Thanks bro! Most people don’t know about Don Quixote lol thats awesome. Was literally watching your affiliate marketing video last night haha, big fan of your stuff. Appreciate you watching and commenting!
I spend about 200 dollars to work and that's just a 30 min drive and back. The cost of grocery and food is more expensive where I live as well but I guess rent and mortgage is slightly cheaper compared to Hawaii. Thanks for sharing your work experience and lifestyle. I live in Canada right now but might consider moving here in the future.
I work in construction rn - I am working on moving to Oahu in the next 6-7 months… since you work in the construction industry as well, maybe your videos will really help!
gona move there jan 2022 to oahu with my tent and rucksack full on essential .great info thank u.i will explore this beautiful island for first time in detail
Ha! Gas in SF is over $5/gal. I was going to guess you drive a Tacoma.😂 I want to live in your condo complex, those are very reasonable fees, and free parking! Oh, this was 2yrs ago.
It seems like you got it pretty well living on O’ahu, you only gotta pay $27 for registration! Lol Jokes aside, I was born and raised on O’ahu. I just started living on my own away from family (still on island tho) and let me tell you, if my husband wasn’t in the military, we’d be struggling to get by. I’ve been a local resident all my life and boy was it hard. I am grateful to be where I am financially but there are many people on island who have to spend way more than you a month to get by. I remember working 3 jobs just to help my family with our mortgage payments and I still didn’t have enough to pay for other bills and loans. It’s tough but that’s the price you gotta pay to live in paradise. 😅🤷🏻♀️
It's been my dream to reside in Hawaii ever since high school. I was planning to go until we had a financial set back due to the pandemic. It's a shame that costs are regulated by location. Does greed come to mind? I think so. Much mahalo for the video. I'm happy for you and others who can live and survive in Hawaii. I guess, for me, it will remain a dream.
How did the pandemic make u broker? Unemployment boost was fantastic and stimulus checks. Free food stamps, hiring bonuses. Before the pandemic I had 50 dollars in my savings. Today I have over 140k thanks to the pandemic and learning crypto and stocks that was invested from stimulus checks lol
Loved the video! I dream of living there but content myself with visiting my timeshare every year. It is beautiful and such a treat for this Washingtonion who lives on the snowy side.
Oh wow! I went to school at UW haha not quite snowy, but was outside for the two hailstorms there were when I was in school lol. Thank you so much for commenting!
I get $3500 a month from my VA medical retirement.... I moved to PR. Bought a bad ass house here... Including mortgage, brand new 2021 car payment and food I pay $1200 a month, plus cellphone $100, internet $80, gas $100 a month. Etc. That's roughly $1500 and still have the rest to save, travel, entertainment etc. I'm good I'll stay in PR 😂
The cost of living in Hawaii sounds comparable to Seattle except for groceries. That is real high, but everything else especially housing is actually less the in my area.
Great video! Pipeline dreams still just holding out in this time. I’m not 26 but i’m hoping I can trade the UK In one day! 🙏 I’m sitting in London and hoping to complete legal studies. I wished I had just been positive back some time ago, I always loved everything I saw about Hawaii. Thanks for the breakdown!
I’m at a community college right now so I can transfer to Hawaii Pacific University and focus on my major, I decided to go to a community college because I come from a small area in upstate New York so I gotta save every penny and I can get rid of my GedEds 😂... I honestly can’t wait to move to Hawaii but this will definitely come in handy when I need to move off campus. To be completely honest I’m slightly terrified but mostly excited, especially so I can get rid of the snow! Sorry this is long and I don’t know if it makes any sense but yeah 😂
Hahaha no thats so awesome Andrea! I would hate the snow too lol anything below 70 is too frigid. Im glad my video helps! It is expensive here but to me its worth it and I’m sure you’ll think so too when you arrive. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
You look happy first of all. Only thing I worry about is medical insurance, I live in Canada and it’s one of the few things I’ve never had to think about.
I lived in Hawaii in the early 1980s. When I moved from Denver I was shocked at the rents! In Denver I had a small penthouse unit and paid $325/month. I found a lower unit at 1350 Ala Moana and it was $800/month! I imagine it is $3k or more now?
As he said, most of his meals are free from parents or girl friend's parents. In the tropics buildings require a lot more upkeep so consider that too. He didn't include toiletries, clothing, or shoes.
The food is about the same price as the mainland....depending where you shop. I've seen food more expensive here in Pennsylvania. Gas in my city is $3.15 per gallon, my car insurance is $471, my rent is $1200 a month for a one-bedroom.
I used to play a lot of golf before the pandemic started but wearing a mask and practicing was just a little too overwhelming so I haven’t practiced in a while.
Hawaii looks like a beautiful place. I was suppose to go there for a week in August for a convention, but it was canceled because of the pandemic. This was a great video with some great humor😂😂😂.
I live on Maui. My rent and electric combined for 1 year is roughly $24,000. Not sure how electric on Oahu is so cheap, but here on Maui electric is sky high, my bill averages between $375-$400 a month! Maui Electric Company charges 4x the rate per kilowatt hour vs. the mainland, they have no competition, they are a monopoly and they take full advantage of exorbitant price gouging. With rent and electric combined, plus the costs of food, fuel, and basic household items annually the cost is right around $50,000 per year on the low end. Then there is vehicle registration, that little sticker on your license plate will cost you a small fortune as registration fees are calculated by the weight of your vehicle, i have a full size truck and my registration for it is $392 per year, my car registration is $280 per year. There are pros and cons to island living, as with anywhere. I dont recommend anyone to assume that they can move here and be happy. More often than not you will have to work so much that you have very little time to enjoy the place you live in. Renting is not easy, between having $5-$6k for 1st and last months rent, as well as a security deposit for electric. Also, there are a great majority of landlords that want to control your lifestyle once you rent from them, they will tell you how many people you can have visiting, the landlords come on property and enter residences frequently without prior notification, and alot of them will enter your home while you are not there. My biggest shock upon moving here was to see how very little business', properties etc.. are not owned bg local Hawaiians. The island is mostly owned by Filipinos, Japanese, and Canadians. Also, there is a HUGE problem with homeless people everywhere, and so many tweekers that are on Crystal Meth. There is ALOT of theft on Maui. The police generally have no interest in dealing with these people, therefore the problem is way out of control. This is the last of the Wild West for law enforcement, there is no one watching them or holding them accountable for anything, the corruption stems from the mayor on down the line. Most mainlanders come to Maui and don't make it but 6 months to a year before returning back to the mainland. One should thoroughly research everything before thinking about moving to Hawaii.
I used to live in in Hawaii working for a national company, I ended up having to move to mainland cause my salary was high, could not shelter by buying a house cause at that time housing was 600 - 800 thousand dollars, so my income tax bill was too much to pay uncle Sammy, every year I would set up a payment plan with IRS....... Now I retired in south Texas where its sooooo much cheaper and looks like Hawaii, I have the best of both worlds..... Mahalo bra! oh also great video........
Been living in California for a few years and honestly we pay as much or more on most things, gas is at 3.50, groceries are pricy and my car registration was almost $300 on a 8 year old car. Our last apartment at 650sq ft was around $2200 not including anything. Although we do live in the Bay Area, Hawaii doesn’t sound so bad!
Wait. DId he factor in daily malasadas runs? That's were a lot of my money would go. Plus I'd be getting plate lunch like every day. My health costs would be super high because I'd also be 400 pounds. I can't afford to live in Hawaii.
I'm guessing judging by the date of this video that gas has increased there as well, but currently in CA it's about 6.50/gal. Thanks for the info and best of luck to you...
That's why I live Mainland now. No can afford Hawaii any more. I'm 26 single and bought house $368,000 lake front in the other Hawaii (Washington State) Hawaii born & raised
@@Darian-- Electrician, I tell all young people to skip college and learn a trade. You will make more Money, than you will if you had a college degree. IMO, The only thing college is good for is getting you in DEBT, and several years of you paying off student loans.
Living in both Honolulu and DMV ( burbs of DC) costs are kinda close on some items....except gas. Gas here ranges from $2.35-$3.35. Regional price fixing based off income taxes of residents that vary county by county. Example Potomac vs Beltsville or Hawaii Loa Ridge vs Ewa Beach.
We lived on Oahu for more than 20 years but moved away because we had reached the tipping point on traffic congestion, very high prices on groceries, high utilities prices, taxation on every purchase and the state and city governments' incompetent and wasteful use of tax revenue. The people of Hawaii are lovely and kind people, but they deserve much better from their state and local government leaders and officials. The upside of moving away from Hawaii was we were able to sell our nearly paid for home for way more than the original purchase price and were then able to pay cash for a much larger home in Nevada. Hawaii is a lovely place to visit, but it is very tough to live there if you are not a multimillionaire or do not have lots of family members there who will feed you and let you live with them for free.
They need to vote out the progressive liberals who put them in this situation just like California. All the doers are leaving states with similar policies.
so is it possible to come from Denmark (Europa) and live and work in Hawaii? (USA) really want to. not only because of the looks but also because of the aloha spirit.
Fr health insurance is a perk of Hawaii.. employrs ar required to cover 100% the premium costs. I pay $1000 month after my employer covers half for just myself and daughter.
HELLO FROM SOUTH AFRICA ;) Got you to read, 3 dollars a gallon is reasonable, in terms of dollars per gallon, you pay R11/L, we pay R14,65/L and at the moment it's kind of low, it was R17/L, our price is about $4/gallon and it's low at the moment, we're kind of happy, it sometimes goes to $5/gallon, then we struggle, but that is just another day in South Africa :D
Bro!! I been thinking about this forever. Love your vibe and I’m so glad I found your channel. Also just curious, are there any chem E companies in Hawaii?
Thanks Shawn! Appreciate you watching! And honestly not that I know of. Im sure theres a couple out there; i know a couple chem es that joined construction actually lol
I’m going to Hickam AFB for my first duty station and so is my girlfriend. Gonna go off base for housing. Thankfully I don’t worry to much about a lot of that stuff 😬 still gonna be very pricey though so a little mervous
The prime seems like a good deal there, even though shipping isn't faster - I would think shipping could get pricey if you had to pay it! I'm in the San Francisco Bay area and it's pretty comparable pricewise to live here vs. there. Hmm...
Awesome video. My girl and I are thinking of moving but damn just the moving cost is nuts. 2 bedroom house, 2 vehicles, and 2 motorcycles. I'd love to pick your brain.
the information is really helpful, and the humor is puntastic :) :). Love it! BTW, what employer pays for 100% of your health insurance premiums? I've never found that anywhere in the US, even working for the federal government: it might be less than you'd pay on your own, but you still have to pay a decent amount that comes right out of your paycheck.
Thanks so much Meg! And yes, probably should be more clear on that; it comes out of our paycheck but not nearly to the amount we would have to pay if it was on our own.
Thanks for the info, have been suffering through below zero and single digit temps for over a week here in the midwest. I am retired with an income that pretty much matches your total costs. being retired, I assume the cost would be less living in areas where I would not be dependent on working, is that correct?
Our expensive place to live in... I love our island but the prices from grocery, gas, rents, foods are going up... $800 paycheck is not enough to cover for everything. You gotta have 2 or 3 jobs to accommodate all these expenses.. I am very lucky to lived here in this beautiful island!
Love that you literally went through each and every expense of your lifestyle.....kudos for that. Great content.

Trying to move there in a year and a half realistically, seeing these videos always helps and confirms my research I’ve been doing. Thank you ❤️

Kienen Koga - Engineering & Finance in Hawaii that’s what’s up dude. Gotta respect that
Very detailed great prepared content. Thank you.
appreciate it!
Oh wow!! This video has been an eye opener! Thank you! But this should be compared to the basic salary too
Really good video! Thanks for the numbers and scenery! 🤙
I love this video, it's so chill and informative. I live in Southern California so it's almost the same costs as you.
Appreciate it! Thank you so much for watching! And yeah, pretty much in the same boat with high income tax too lol
I’m also in SoCal! San Diego lol
I love when I visit and still get the kamaiana discount. Always feel at home there but stuck here in Cali. 😩🤙🏾

-Cheong Kwan Jang (Imported Korean Red Ginseng) = $200
-Don Quijote/Palama SuperMarket = $500
-Longs Drugs = $100
-Amazon = $500
So basically $3200 per month because of the need for premium quality healthy food, and Japanese Imported Premium Shiseido cosmetics for my mom.

Hahaha thanks!
I always want to move there with my two kids as new life, I’ve been bored life in North Carolina such busy city🙄
Definitely a great change of pace! Haha
Agreed. Still living in NC. Bored as hell
NC has mountains and hiking.
How is that boring?
Come to Illinois. It's just cornfields.
You sound so pretentious.

The rent is comparable to Chicago but the thing that Hawaii doesn't have is ice and snow that make it hard to get to your job.
Very true!

Sorry to hear, hope you can make it out one day!
@@KienenKoga I hope so to, but it might only be a visit.
I'm good I'll stay in PR 😂
this was great info thinking about moving to the island one day
The cost of living in Hawaii sounds comparable to Seattle except for groceries. That is real high, but everything else especially housing is actually less the in my area.
I don’t even know how to feel about this expensive house/rent stuffs! Where I live (in a southern state) rent on a house is $600!
How big is the condo? How much is car insurance?
The food is about the same price as the mainland....depending where you shop. I've seen food more expensive here in Pennsylvania. Gas in my city is $3.15 per gallon, my car insurance is $471, my rent is $1200 a month for a one-bedroom.
I used to play a lot of golf before the pandemic started but wearing a mask and practicing was just a little too overwhelming so I haven’t practiced in a while.
hahah and golf in itself is already difficult!
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
Appreciate it Sonny!
Hawaii looks like a beautiful place. I was suppose to go there for a week in August for a convention, but it was canceled because of the pandemic. This was a great video with some great humor😂😂😂.
Haha yeah im super lucky to live here! Sorry to hear, hopefully you can make it back out here soon. Thanks for watching bro!
Love your personality dude hahah
haha thanks Justin!
I will continue to watch this for the grocery puns. Coming from NY, that's barley anything
Haha thanks! And yup pretty expensive over there too…probably a little colder too
Loved the humor!
Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!!
I love to live in Hawaii , it is so much outdoors activities
Agreed!
Do they have a farms market like mainland does?
You’re right! Sounds comparable!
nice video man!
Thanks!
Wait. DId he factor in daily malasadas runs? That's were a lot of my money would go. Plus I'd be getting plate lunch like every day. My health costs would be super high because I'd also be 400 pounds. I can't afford to live in Hawaii.
LOL!
Hawaii has food stamps, cash assistance, public housing, and section 8 vouchers. You can use your voucher to buy a house.
Wow 😳 people are living large 😅
ALOHA, I live in TX gas went up yesterday from $3.09 a gallon to
$3.15 a gallon at both Sam's Club and Walmart.
do you think that lower prices on amazon will deter people on the island from shopping locally
Thats a great question. Probably w combination of that and a little faster shipping would make an impact for sure
Omg all the delicious food made me so hungry 🤤
Hahahaha that was the goal! Thanks Emily!
Is Hawaii really hot? I can’t with hot weather I live in Texas and can’t stand the humidity
Average temperature is 78 degrees
Living in both Honolulu and DMV ( burbs of DC) costs are kinda close on some items....except gas. Gas here ranges from $2.35-$3.35. Regional price fixing based off income taxes of residents that vary county by county. Example Potomac vs Beltsville or Hawaii Loa Ridge vs Ewa Beach.
Very interesting. Yeah we don’t have that large of a range of difference
Wow, the supermarket fresh food was super expensive.
you deserve it man 👌👌🙌🙌🙌🙌
We lived on Oahu for more than 20 years but moved away because we had reached the tipping point on traffic congestion, very high prices on groceries, high utilities prices, taxation on every purchase and the state and city governments' incompetent and wasteful use of tax revenue.

Best comment!
@@robertm.6583 I live in CA and i'm doing just fine. Best state in the US
so is it possible to come from Denmark (Europa) and live and work in Hawaii? (USA) really want to. not only because of the looks but also because of the aloha spirit.
In Sweden we pay almost 8 dollars per gallon of fuel
Thats a lot!
Fr health insurance is a perk of Hawaii.. employrs ar required to cover 100% the premium costs. I pay $1000 month after my employer covers half for just myself and daughter.
Never thought that gas prices are that high in Hawaii. I pay about 1.1 euros per liter.
damn!
HELLO FROM SOUTH AFRICA ;)
Got you to read, 3 dollars a gallon is reasonable, in terms of dollars per gallon, you pay R11/L, we pay R14,65/L and at the moment it's kind of low, it was R17/L, our price is about $4/gallon and it's low at the moment, we're kind of happy, it sometimes goes to $5/gallon, then we struggle, but that is just another day in South Africa :D
Awesome Video and View!!🙌🤙Aloha🌈🌺
@5.47 Gas prices here on Prince Edward Island Canada are 1.32 per litre of regular (-89 octane) which roughly converts to $5.28 per Gallon.
Wow. I live in Auckland, New Zealand and we pay $2.20/litre (NZD). Thats roughly $5.8/gallon (USD) when converted lol
hahaha I shouldn't be complaining!
@@KienenKoga I'll consider construction if Chem E doesn't work out ;)
There are also the refineries in Oahu.
Any advice for finding a place to living for a few months in Oahu? Websites to look at, etc. Thank you!
Probably craigslist would be best.
I’m going to Hickam AFB for my first duty station and so is my girlfriend. Gonna go off base for housing. Thankfully I don’t worry to much about a lot of that stuff 😬 still gonna be very pricey though so a little mervous
best of luck!
The prime seems like a good deal there, even though shipping isn't faster - I would think shipping could get pricey if you had to pay it! I'm in the San Francisco Bay area and it's pretty comparable pricewise to live here vs. there. Hmm...
yeah you're probably right. Yeah San Francisco is expensive too....maybe a few years in Hawaii! haha
Hawaii is such a beautiful. I am planning to apply in universities in hawaii for my undergrad what do u think about it ? Great video
just make sure UH has degree programs that you're interested in; then I'd say go for it!
@@KienenKoga thanks a lot for ur response hope I make it to the beautiful island of hawaii
Bruh. Tell me, is the food organic? Like really organic? More like I’m in Africa or Jamaica type of organic?
Awesome video. My girl and I are thinking of moving but damn just the moving cost is nuts. 2 bedroom house, 2 vehicles, and 2 motorcycles. I'd love to pick your brain.
$6 for eggs!! Where I live those are organic but even then that's really high!
the information is really helpful, and the humor is puntastic :) :).
@@KienenKoga Oh OK gotcha - thanks! Thanks again for your videos! :)
Ca gas prices are the same only higher in the summer.
Thanks for the info, have been suffering through below zero and single digit temps for over a week here in the midwest. I am retired with an income that pretty much matches your total costs. being retired, I assume the cost would be less living in areas where I would not be dependent on working, is that correct?
yeah I heard its rough out there...best of luck to you John. Congrats on retiring! And i think looking at tax friendly states helps too
Can I ask what do you do for a living there?
Our expensive place to live in... I love our island but the prices from grocery, gas, rents, foods are going up... $800 paycheck is not enough to cover for everything. You gotta have 2 or 3 jobs to accommodate all these expenses.. I am very lucky to lived here in this beautiful island!
We truly are! Living other people's dreams to be out here! Thank you so much for commenting!
It is expensive, but no more than the Toronto area. Gas currently is $1.28 per litre or about $4.80 a gallon. The view make up the cost.
