Biden's potential victory over Trump could also be reminiscent of Yeltsin's re-election in 1996 where he beat Zuganov (a communist). Can we just talk about, since 2016, the democrats and the republican parties can't even find a SINGLE non controversial and competant candidate in a nation of 333 million people? How is it even possible!?
In general, things have just become more partisan in the past few decades. I believe this is more the case for Republican candidates, who often take a more hardline conservative stance on most issues nos, whereas the democrats still try to appeal to a very broad center-left (by American standards) base in the hopes of swaying independents or centrists, which more often than not comes at cost of disuading people with more left-leaning views. I think back in 2020, Biden was seen as a less controversial figure, considering his time as vice president a decade prior, even if he didn't inspire much confidence within his own base. But in 2024, going all in on Biden is probably going to come back to haunt DNC, though we have yet to see how things pan out.

Roman, the best video I've seen from a regular American is the one Jake Broe put out on his channel today. Neither one of the US presidential candidates is an alcoholic. The incumbent is administratively capable while the other is not, and I think you seem to recognize why, as you said, you hope the US has a few more years of the incumbent as president, rather than the other candidate who is an indictment of an entire US political party for even being taken seriously.
Boris Yeltsin while was visiting America went into the first slightly bigger supermarket and he was so impressed he thought that was a propaganda studio built for his arrival, he couldn't believe that there were so much products available to buy. This is awesome and hilarious take, thanks Roman we are all losing it over here in the US. I really needed to laugh at this THANKS BRO seriously thanks. We do actually still have the ability to change the democratic candidate, but Joe has to willingly step down, and it is late in the election game to do it. Yes it feels hopeless, but we still have options.
He kinda reminds me of the South sudan dictator whos so old and sick he literally casually peed himself during a visit with Chinese officials (the video is very easy to find online)
I'm rewatching now: was that a second of JAWS music??? Perfect. In case you were wondering, I decided to cry. "Don't mess with the women of America unless you want to get a benefit"???? See my kids are out there somewhere knowing everything there is to know. Might I suggest politics??? This is as good as anything Colbert ever did, Roman!
But the thing is, Biden might get confused in big unknown public events, because he is old, slow and might have a bad vision. He is damn 82. I worked as a caretaker, that is pretty normal. But he has his mind still pretty good together. He has half a decade experience in high level politics, so he knows how this job works. Biden has chosen good people to support him, he knows he needs advice and he is smart enough to listen to experts. In his Office he still makes good decisions, based on knowledge, not on some stomach feelings. So, Biden should not be President, he is old... but he is the best (and not a bad) option for the US and the World.
A lot of what Roman has shown in this video actually comes from doctored videos that was deliberately cut by conservative media outlets to make Pres. Biden look bad--- so what you think is so "blatantly obvious" is anything but that.
as someone who has works with old people it is generally called "dementia vacant stare" we also live in a different time to be all touchy feely with woman/kids compared to yelstin era, where are bidens advisors/team or even family?

And then an official comes down the steps and tells them that Yeltsin is indisposed. So they refuel and fly off again. That was an uber klassik !
Appreciate your humor. It's always funny when there is some truth to it. Biden has been an honorable president but now the most honorable thing he could do is step aside. Now a vote for Biden is really a vote for Kamala Harris! The alternative of a madman is unthinkable!
You do remember Trump was already president for 4 years, right? If he was going to go there he wouldve done it when he was in charge. You people are so scared of Trump threatening your democracy (even though he was democratically elected and probably will be again) that you are yourself causing a threat to democracy by trying to interfere in the democratic process because you dont like your oppositions candidate. This doesnt seem very bright.
You can say the same for almost all Soviet leaders aside from Kruschev Gorbachev. Lenin had several strokes and was wheelchair-bound when he died in-office. Stalin died at age 74 in-office, Brezhnev died at age 75 in-office, Andropov died age 69 in-office, Chernekov died at age 73 in-office. Not to mention - Putin is 71 years old now, which means he is older than Yeltsin was when he resigned.
lol it’s not. There are 3 branches of government: legislative, executive, and judicial. They all have to work together and agree and compromise to make laws. The president isn’t a dictator. Xi is self proclaimed president for life, same with Putin. That’s having ONE person run the country.
POTUS runs the Executive Branch, which includes the military. Congress is the Legislative Branch for drafting laws and allocating tax money. The courts are the Judicial Branch which reviews the laws' application and constitutionality. The US does not have a single leader; we are not a monarchy or a fascist tyranny.
This is an interesting and creative video. Fantastic job! You will be surprised about this. So there have been leaders from other countries around the world whether they are still alive or have passed away who were actually older than Joe Biden when they were elected into office. Did those other leaders do a better job than Joe Biden did? Maybe but I do not know enough about those other leaders who were older than Joe Biden when they were elected into office. It just depends on who you are asking that type of question to. For example, Karolos Papoulias, Paul Biya, Giorgio Napolitano, Joaquín Balaguer, Shimon Peres, Beji Caid Essebsi, Robert Mugabe, Hastings Banda, Mahathir Mohammad, and I'm sure there were other people that were actually way older than Joe Biden when they were elected into office. In the United States of America the minimum age limit to be elected President is at least 35 Years Old. I am not too sure how other countries operate when it comes to the age limit to be elected President, Prime Minister, etc. But in my opinion, I feel like there should seriously be a maximum age limit that you can be elected into office. Will something like that ever happen? I have absolutely no clue only time will tell I suppose.

He is someone who can use the power of the state to help keep the oligarchs in check.
Putin has a vested interest in doing this because if the oligarchs ruin things too much and make the citizens too miserable there might be a revolution and HE will be the target of their wrath.
In America there is no strong central leader for the citizens to blame and rise up against. There is no strong central figure to keep these oligarchs in check. They are free to do whatever they want from the shadows.

Maybe a country shouldn’t be so allowed to be run by a single person and maybe there should be a age restriction
lol it’s not.
Trumps slurrs weirdly ommited from this one... but was a low hanging fruit....weird....
If you think Roman is right wing you must be new here...
@@imCurveee I assure you I am not.
The debate Thursday night was just sad. Watched for less than five minutes.
Yeltsin came to Ireland, but he was so drunk, he couldn't get off the plane 😂
