You go to your camera and hold it up to the text. Don’t do anything. Watch your screen, you will notice the yellow brackets appear and you will also see the icon for text pop up. This will not happen immediately but after a few seconds automatically. Click the text icon once it appears. It is in the bottom right corner. From there it will take a still and you’ll be able to highlight the text and copy etc
UPDATE: To copy text from an image on iphone you have to push the blue text button in bottom corner to highlight text. Next, hold your finger down on the highlight text, then select all. Hold finger down again to copy text. You can copy from there. thanks 😇

I have the 14 Pro Max and this also doesn’t work. You have to first take a photo and even then, it will highlight the text but not copy it. It will only copy the whole image and paste it. Honestly, this is very typical of iPhones. They never ever work quite right. I was trying to help my daughter. She’d be better off if she’d just switch back to Android.😂

Just an honest remark: was the text copied and pasted from an image? The photo was not yet taken.

misleading title.. you did not take the text from the image, you took it from the camera. I need the text from a screen captured image.
