- Was Dan Quinn frustrated with the Cowboys front office and this was the reason we seen him leave the team the way he did this season trying to take players/coaches with him? Let’s discuss whether or not this could be the case.

I agree on your theory and I’ll add this. I believe, Jerry was telling DQ was going to be HC and when he found out he wasn’t, that’s when DQ was going to stick it the Cowboys. Just a thought.

I agree with both. I’m not a fan of the front office. Jerry probably didn’t even want to consider DQ for a head coach position, considering he couldn’t close out the games that Dak had essentially came back and won. Not to mention the Arizona and the 49’rs game. DQ can be upset all he wants, or even think he got a raw deal. Bottom line, he threw the Green Bay game. Even if he had issues with Jones, he should have looked out for his players! He failed the team! Good look in Washington DQ, see ya soon!!! DC for life!
DQ coming to Dallas was a Stephen Jones move. He enticed Dan with the idea that he would be taking over the HC job after McCarthy 22-23 and that didn’t happen.
You can't coach nor play for owners like the jones family period....it's a no win situation....

Ngl he was left short handed though they went against DQ and drafted mazi cause Jerry wanted him lol they also shipped away lbs left and right over the last 2-3 seasons so not allowing him to get Bobby was there flick off to him yeah he gave up in that GB game but you gotta remember that whole secondary system was adjusted towards helping Gilly maintain that shoulder in the GB game which ultimately killed the defense that day

The only thing some jobs when U give them a 2 Week notice, they tell U that U can go now, I know a truck driver that got stuck in Iowa that way, gave the two week notice and they locked 🔒 up the truck on her ,IG it Depends on the job

Can we just give GB credit for kicking our butt?! We couldn't stop the run or the deep pass. They took apart Dan's scheme and the players were just shell-shocked. The offense didn't play well either. I'm not putting this all on Dan Quinn. I don't know how he was supposed to adjust to a butt kicking like that. The whole team was not prepared. Mike might be on his way out too. Jerry and Wil have done a good job getting talent on this team. They obviously can do better in free agency. Dan has been trying to get a head coaching job ever since he got ran out of Atlanta. He was going to leave regardless of how things ended in Dallas.

@@tonecyphers9239 I can't just let that go. The defensive approach he went with in that game looked a lot like the way he called the defense to end the Miami and Detroit games. He may have done it a few other times during the regular season as well. The point is, the defense got torched on the final drives against Miami and Detroit then you play that same style for virtually the entire game against Green Bay? Nah bruh.

I believe Quinn was frustrated with the lack of support from the Jones'. He was forced to use Safeties in place of Linebackers when LVE and Overshown got hurt and we didn't bring in more LB help. Didn't help that we released some LB Depth when cutting down from 90 to 53 last year. I'm glad Zimmer will have some LBs to work with this year. STOP THAT RUN!!!

I think the theory is quite plausible, but I will still say with the way he coached or the lack there of coaching in the last game w/ greenbay I can't excuse this action ,he was paid to do a job knowing the guidelines in which he took said job ,he quit on these players and fans and there's no excuse for ,a better man would have gave 100% till he left ,then he could do whatever he had in mind ,that's what a real coach would have done

Dan Quinn obviously was part of the problem, but don't think Bobby Wagner wouldn't have solved a lot of our defenses problem! He plays sideline to sideline.. always a pro bowl player, stops the run very well and always had a nose for being around the football! Jerry obviously didn't offer him the contract he wanted but he was definitely better than any linebacker we've had in decades !😊

I liked him the first year or so but the defense always seemed to perform bad in big games, he needs to be glad he got a HC job again after the last playoff loss.

I've been saying all along. What happened was intentional with the Cowboys. And what NFL franchise has been getting all the narratives. Not even getting knocked out in the 1st playoff game at home didn't slow down Cowboy narrative over playoff winners & ultimately, the SB champion took a back seat to Cowboys narrative. And that means bottom line wasn't championships.
Let's just say the franchise made the most money again. And since the season was a failure. So it justifies not paying players. Look at the narrative & support that certain players don't deserve the same pay as lesser players who didn't win either. But the Cowboys seemed to be the only team out of 31 teams that failed. But the funny part is only one team was successful. LoL

Dan Quinn had opportunities for head ciaching jobs after each one if his seasons in Dallas. He chose to stay. If the Joneses treated him so bad, he would have taken one of those other opportunities. I think the Joneses treated him better than most. He was trying to prove something and it didn't work. This last playoff lost made it obvious his time was over with us. I for one am glad he's gone. Just think if the Commanders hadn't been desperate to hire a coach, Dan would not have had any head coaching job. That playoff lost dropped his stock.
DQ has gone on record saying that he stayed those seasons because of the players and he wanted to win for them.

Wagner would’ve helped the defense. Other l-backers would’ve helped stop the run. Quinn is NOT the reason we’ve had no significant success in 30 yrs - the Dirty Jones Boys are the sole reason. I respect Quinn’s passion and thirst. I have NO respect for the Jones family anymore.
