You're in Primrose, which is one of those. A lot of drug activity etc. Used to be a pretty decent area back in the day. But yeah, I suppose you could call it the hood.

The hill you went over is where the Gold Reef began in Germiston. Primrose is the old, lower-class poor mining community adjacent to the Gold Mines. Germiston is the outer edge of the Gold Reef and has economically suffered since gold mining became less important. It is more dangerous than where you came from but you're still a few miles from the informal settlements in a policed area.
CT is an entirely different country. As much as I love it - like, would move in a heartbeat, there is a massive disconnect between the Western Cape and South Africa as a whole. And yes, I have lived there, grew up in Sea point in the 80's, moved to Kalk Baai in the 90's and left in the early 2000's. And honestly, would want to move back due to the fact that it is different. Not that I hate Jozi, or SA, but a change of scenery as I slowly move closer to 50 years old :)

I think because Egypt especially Cairo the capital have a lot of monuments to visit it and the streets always full of people 24 hours a day Never sleep,The theaters and the cinema everywhere , have a lot of restaurants with different kinds of foods and also you will see and meet a people from different countries enjoying visiting Egypt because Egypt rich of history and monuments , plus Egypt have the most beautiful beaches located on the Red Sea like Sharm El-Sheikh city and Hurghada and Dahab city .

But don’t get me wrong South Africa seems like a beautiful country with nice and friendly people definitely I would love to visit it one day .
@@alfarisalshammeri5468 SA has attractions too, however that hugely depends on the city u visit. If he went to Cape Town He would visit a lot of such things,as well as beaches ⛱️. Even in Joburg, there are many restaurants, cinemas and busy streets, he just chose to live in a not so popular side of Joburg. He is also not exploring Joburg.
