If you have a Visa or a mastercard, I imagine you do, then you can request cash back at the till points at Spar, checkers and pick n pay.
They add the amount you want onto what ever you are purchasing and you swipe and they give you cash from the till, then you dont have to pay the saswitch fees ;)

@@nleddie Vilikazi street is a must. Soweto itself is a must. The apartheid museum is also a must! All in the relatively same place. Coming to the area, that isn't the hood in a South African sense. That's just where the poor white people are, basically. You will find it in all towns, like Edenvale, Boksburg, Benoni, Alberton etc on the East Rand. Same with Jhb South.
You're in Primrose, which is one of those. A lot of drug activity etc. Used to be a pretty decent area back in the day. But yeah, I suppose you could call it the hood.

The hill you went over is where the Gold Reef began in Germiston. Primrose is the old, lower-class poor mining community adjacent to the Gold Mines. Germiston is the outer edge of the Gold Reef and has economically suffered since gold mining became less important. It is more dangerous than where you came from but you're still a few miles from the informal settlements in a policed area.

CT is an entirely different country. As much as I love it - like, would move in a heartbeat, there is a massive disconnect between the Western Cape and South Africa as a whole.
And yes, I have lived there, grew up in Sea point in the 80's, moved to Kalk Baai in the 90's and left in the early 2000's.
And honestly, would want to move back due to the fact that it is different. Not that I hate Jozi, or SA, but a change of scenery as I slowly move closer to 50 years old :)

Be advised that any country with no big number of Settlers have issues, like military check points and police acting outside the boundaries of law, with that said you will pay this people as soon as they realize you not a local, they will create all sorts of problems just to make you pay them…DO YOUR RESEARCH ESPECIALLY WITH PEOPLE WHO STAYED IN THOSE COUNTRIES THEY END UP SETTLING IN…YOU CAN BE IN SOUTH AFRICA AND DONT EVEN SEE WHITE PEOPLE DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU STAY….that mean staying away from cities…and white south africans are different simply because we do not treat racist behavior with soft gloves especially other white people when they witness that, they will come after that fellow white person with disgust and being backwards, most problems are in small poor white areas with old white people and some middle age white people who blame everything on the recent government and cant stomach change🤞🏽

I feel most Overseas vloggers, go to more effluent ofcourse safe places, but that is not the really heart of SA, most black, coloured and Asians leave on the so called townships, in every city and town you will find those serageted neibourhood which is the legacy of Apartheid government, which has not change even today

I would love to see your reaction when you taste a REAL veggie bunny chow in Durban! What you ate was just a knock-off, haha! I find it so funny that you call suburbs "the hood", haha! But I've seen enough American movies and TV, esp of the hoods in California that I know what you mean. Hope you get to take someone on a date to Gold Reef City! The Apartheid Museum is right next to Gold Reef City, so you would need two days to spend on both; there isn't enough time in one day to explore both. And people are staring at you because you're holding up a selfie stick with your phone/camera talking into it. It looks REALLY WEIRD and SUS from a South African perspective. We don't do that in South Africa. 😂

I think because Egypt especially Cairo the capital have a lot of monuments to visit it and the streets always full of people 24 hours a day Never sleep,The theaters and the cinema everywhere , have a lot of restaurants with different kinds of foods and also you will see and meet a people from different countries enjoying visiting Egypt because Egypt rich of history and monuments , plus Egypt have the most beautiful beaches located on the Red Sea like Sharm El-Sheikh city and Hurghada and Dahab city .

@@alfarisalshammeri5468 SA has attractions too, however that hugely depends on the city u visit. If he went to Cape Town He would visit a lot of such things,as well as beaches ⛱️. Even in Joburg, there are many restaurants, cinemas and busy streets, he just chose to live in a not so popular side of Joburg. He is also not exploring Joburg.
