Awesome...looks like you really have your line down on the Nordschleife. I love seeing Vettes In Europe, especially on the track. Please post more! I hope to make it to the 'Ring one day, but for now I'm stuck with GT5.
Thx for nice commet. Havn't had any GT3 pass me yet. Seems as if the Germans have got their eyes on the Corvette now, cause I see more and more of them comming and it is more power for the bucks than a Porsche. You are welcome to join:-) My car seems to be almost as fast as the C6 Z06 as well on this track
Dude you smacked that Porsche! Your 8:04 run was dope, you're a good driver. I have the same car here in the states and its fun to see it on the Ring kickin' some GT3 ass. I hope I can be that good one day! Keep em' comin'!
Very very impressive. Those 996 GT3's are no joke. 360rwhp+ factory. ~3100 pounds. Very formidable and you know he's on some real deal tires too. Great driving by both of you.
@@corrolesscps Wow, an R Comp. The way you drove I thought it was slicks. I have the same car doing road tracks and use Nitto NT01s. Bet you might like those too.
Hi FastVettNor, excellent video and excellent driving. Thank you so much. Recently purchased a new 2019 Corvette Grand Sport, with a Manual Transmission, and it's a great car.
2 great motor sounds...that of a big American V-8, and the previous high revving whine of a Formula 1 car. The new F1 cars sound like they're on Valium. Bring back the 18,000 plus RPM motors. ...Please!!
I use Nitto NT-01 tyres. This year I will also try Toyo R888. I think the noise you hear comes mainly from the tyres, but at high speed there will always be lots of nice noise:-)
@Breze84 Yes I do. It is thursty on oil, so I do have to add it on a regular basis even though it has just 18000 miles on the clock.. The temp is around 128degree celcius when I drive hard at the ring, so that is no problem, even with reves at 5.5 to 6t. What oil do you use yourself? I use Castrol Edge 5-30.
@FastVetteNor I used to use the GM spec Mobil 1 5W-30 but now I use Amsoil Series 2000 0W-30... Better protection at higher RPM's and holds better oil PSI, Using this I have bumped up 3psi at idle...
@FastVetteNor Very nice... Do you notice any oil consumption problems with your Z06, I also have a 01 Z06 but Im curious since you are above 4K RPM a lot on the track...
I would love to try my car on this track. 01 Z06. Not stock though, is now making 692 rwhp. with 14lbs of boost. Looks like fun, thanks for posting. Peace
Not bad - for a Sunday Drive in the country! Someone that knows how to run that engine would have left him in the dust. The engine doesn't begin to run until after 3700 RPM's ¿`_
Does your car have a roll cage and are you helmeted? There is no run off area; this track looks about 50 years out of date from a safety standpoint. Also, what tire/brake combo are you running?
Divad Noodeldehm Hello. If I do the track in about 8 min sharp, I do use a helmet. The car has no roll cage, so as you can see I do take it easy in the most dangerous parts.
Divad Noodeldehm . I do use the Toyo R888 tires..315 RW and 295 FW. On this vid it was 275 FW. The brakes are standard C5Z06 calippers, but I use PFC pads F &R and PFC discs in front and standard rear. I've tried the Nitto tires also, but I like the Toyo better, even though the Nitto is as fast...
FastVetteNor Wow, you're a better driver (braver too) than I am. Those walls will break your neck! I run Toyo R888s on my C7 Z51 for track days along with Carbotech XP12s on OEM rotors, those pads have been kind to me. Having had a few Corvettes (the C5Z06 stuck me as nervous, it's challenging and twitchy) and 911's I have no clue how you keep up with a 996 GT3. The 996 GT3 is a fantastic car btw. Maybe see if you can trade for a few sessions with the guy you were chasing. I frankly have no idea what magic you used to get a C5Z06 to go this fast. Well done sir.
Holy crap! Mine cost me 55,000 USD, or 59 after taxes and fees. I wouldn't buy it at 200K, no way. I'm going to Carolina Motorsports Park in today for some professional instruction, I'll post some video this week.
It's about the driver for sure. We are humbled. The Corvette just gets you into a certain class. Those guardrails I think keep the $million cars away I hope. Everyone I'm sure would like to see you go after a GTR. You got anyone you can call to get you that race? Is there a "Ring Match" website? You know for cheating on your other car?
iggygeeproductions . I would love to do that. There are plenty of GTR's on the ring to drive against, but most of them are unexperienced drivers. Can't remember being overtaken by one yet. I only have 320hp at the RW, but the torque is amazing in this car, and the handling superior to most other cars I drive against.
I like how the chevy fans come out and say it's all the car lmao, they must not know corvettes at all.. it takes a good driver to drive them aggressively especially a c5. Fan boys go home
matthew von The C5 Z06 doesn't flatter fools, unlike the 911 that any idiot can get in and fool around with. You have to know what you're doing to get the most out of them. No PDK for rich playboy wannabes. The C4 in particular will snap oversteer you right into a tree.
Awesome...looks like you really have your line down on the Nordschleife. I love seeing Vettes In Europe, especially on the track. Please post more!
I hope to make it to the 'Ring one day, but for now I'm stuck with GT5.
I like how the Z is running its own line and not getting hypnotized into running the Porsche's line
He’s a better driver than the gt3

The C5 Zo6 is about the same...
Almost identical stock c5z specs c5 can run a lot of tire too. 315 square is possible under stock fenders
Very nice, LS power > everything else for the money
It's called a good driver lmao
matthew von Is the driver pedalling the car? stop the butthurt matt
@@VaunShiz Don't forget the price difference between the cars. . .

Well put
Tenths of seconds if any
@@Eidrian111 No, my personal experience with 02 Z06 is 15 Kmh less top speed with lights. Thats significant
Great driving. Love to see a well driven c5z schooling the more expensive "exotic". May I ask what tires you were running?
+Brian Karr . Thx. I use Toyo R888. Found them to be the best combo on price and performance. (315 rear, 275 front)

The car is stock, but I put a KN filter and upgraded brake disc and pads. One brake disc actually cracked on a 8.01 lap I had.
Which year Z06?
Hello. Yes I am driving. I will go back in august..
FastVetteNor how do you get your car over there??
What mods were done to this car? You’re a really great driver.
Awesome driving,
nothing beats corvette.
Everyone talks shit about vettes yet you're literally catching this guy in the corners, bravo man.
Awesome video! And way more money for a GT3!

+01ZO6TT Peace. I would love to have 692 rwhp instead of my 340rwhp. How did you get that much?? Turbo or comp?
+Corroless CPS Stock cubic inch LS6 block, Callies Rods, Wiseco pistons, Lingenfelter cam, AFR heads, 92 mm Fast intake with LS2 throttle body & a APS twin turbo system. Spec stage 3 dual disk clutch. Bear rotors. Nitto 555r drag radials.
Above 155mph it might, but I have not found it to be a problem on this track. The car has lots of torque:-)
@VetteFRC Thanx. I'll post more as soon as I go there in may. Hopefully I can get a 7.50 lap
German Engineering meets American Muscle.
Love how that porsche tried so hard to get away lol.
Which year Z06?
I love this GT3
Amazing car + driver.
I can assume this car is most-likely set up for the track ? or is it for recreational use too ?
That’s one FastVetteNor‼️❤️
Was the GT3 on your tail for most of the track after you passed or did he fade?
Wow...impressed.
why are the pop ups up
Nice video. What is the noise ? Do you have special tyres on ?
Put lights down! Doesnt that affect drag
Are u driving? hi from spain!

FastVetteNor That can't be right... a stock '01 Z makes about 340 RWHP and an '02-'04 car would put down around 360.
+Dharshan Sabanayagam horsepower loss over the years. you need a rebuild to get horsepower back to its full potential
Awesome driving!, Corvettes Rule!
Nice driving in the c5 but you in that gt3 would easily out run the c5.not bashing yout car its just proven .great run and great car
Not sure it would, a 16 year old z06 is still quicker than a 2019 bmw M2 around the ring, speaks volumes of how good the vette really is
