1 John 4:17 In this has love been perfected with us, that we may have boldness in the day of the judgment because even as He is, so also are we in this world.
@@denniscooley3990 there is 1 lyrical line though that makes me question. “In this we know that we are Him”? That we are in Him and that we will be like Him is one thing. But….that we are Him? I believe we are His; we are in Him and we will be as He is but that’s where I drew the line. I’am not Him and we all who make up His body all together are not Him and that lyric is in this hymn. So why is it then in this hymn? I don’t understand.
@jtubelee What about Acts 9:4-5 And he fell on the ground and heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me? And he said, Who are You, Lord? And He said, I am Jesus, whom you persecute. Isn't your body you?
@@denniscooley3990 Thank you for your note. This morning, Howard Higashi's (sp?) testimony came to mind in light of this song. He shared that prior to his salvation, he had 3 appearings of the Lord. One was a fellow classmate, a brother, who was the top student in the class but didn't flaunt it. He exhibited more characteristics of the Lord's humanity, but I don't recall how Howard described them. To this day, that example of an appearing, a manifestation of "even as He is", continues to speak to me. The Spirit is doing a wonderful, organic work in His people.

love it 1 Beloved we are children of God, And through this life we onward trod; When He is seen on earth again We will be seen as only Him, Even as He is. 2 Christ, the Lamb of God has come, Takes sin away for everyone; Those who believe into the Son, In God the Father have become Even as He is, One. Even as He is, Even as He is, Even as He is we will be; Even as He is we will be. 3 In this we know that we are Him, And while in Him we cannot sin; We live in Him, live side by side, We walk in Him, with Him abide, Even as He walked. 4 He who has this hope in Him Is purified in how he lives; By living Christ as righteousness, He lives a life in blessedness, Even as He is pure. Even as He is, Even as He is, Even as He is we will be; Even as He is we will be. 5 Little children don’t be led astray, We will see Him on judgment day; He who is righteous and lives in light, Will live Him out as He is right, Even as He is right. 6 In Christ the love of God abides, In us this perfect love resides, And perfect love casts out all fear, We love all who to Him are dear, Even as He loves. Even as He is, Even as He is, Even as He is we will be; Even as He is we will be.
When we first heard this song (which is by a really good writer among us) we were impressed with it. But is was short, so we asked the writer if he could double the verse length and sing 2 verses back to back before the chorus. That way more content from 1 John 1, 2, &3 could be added. We think that took the song to another level. We are glad you like it.
ஆமென் அல்லேலூயா கர்த்தாவே உமக்கே மகிமை உண்டாவதாக ❤❤
I remember when this song was composed. Oh, the light shines! Lord, even as You are, we will be!
As His children of course we will be even as He is.

Even as He is...appreciate the images that go along with the song. Beautiful reflection pictures! Hallelujah we will be like Him as He is!
I didn't read this comment before I wrote mine. 😊😊

Yeah I think they made a mistake in this one. Is no one seeing this?
